people say altoona is soooo rainy! but compared to what? statistically, it seems to get the same amount of rain as where i'm at in illinois. but the number of days of precipitation are much higher. where i live now is 111, compared to altoona is 138. if most of those days are snow, im good with that. so how often would you say it rains? i find rain to be so depressing. it ruins nice days and i refuse to go walking if it's rainy and wet. that is the number one thing holding me back from making the move to pa. now to clarify, im not looking directly in altoona. im told that the crime rate isn't desirable. but i think that's with any city of that population. i am looking in the hollidaysburg/duncansville area, maybe roaring spring or east freedom. then down to bedford. im coming out to explore possibilities in august. so i really do want to find out as many genuine reviews as i can from the locals in regards to rain.
This ‘icy passage’ is named for its position on this spectacular Pennsylvania hiking trail. Name the trail and the landmark.

My wife and I unfortunately aren't rich or even middle class. We are moving from a LCOL area just south of Philly to be closer to my wife's sister who has health issues. We are looking to rent and don't mind "rough" areas as we are both from not too nice areas. We are searching for preferably a mobile home or detached house as we have had NOTHING but issues with apartment living. Could anyone recommend a rental agent or let me know where to search for rentals? We both appreciate the help very much!
One of my friends started talking how they couldn’t live next to a prison..
I honestly think he’s overreacting … so I’m curious on mindset of people who actually lives that life.
Does anyone know if you are able to transfer a vehicle online in Pennsylvania?
We have purchased a vehicle, have the title signed by the seller, but it wasn’t witnessed by a notary. It is very inconvenient to get it to the seller to get notarised. I see mention on a few websites you can do it online, but when I go to the PennDOT website I can’t find it.
Any advice or help would be appreciated!
I'm looking to build onto a running prank we have going with a friend. This friend attended Johnsonburg Area High School from 2006-2010 (class of 2010) and all I need is a scan of any pages with him on it. Does anyone have a JAHS yearbook (or multiple from 2007-2010), and you be willing to scan some pages and email them to me?
Thank you for any help. I'm at a loss of what to do first.
