Preferably a family recipe that my Scranton born husband would find familiar and therefore tasty. His mother was of Slovakian and Lithianian descent, if that helps. TIA!
Hello! I’m going to scranton with my boyfriend for thanksgiving weekend and I am looking for an AYCE place in or near Scranton, but google has not been helpful at all! We prefer a la carte over buffet style. Anything from $20- $50 per person is great :)
Hi neighbors… Where can I go go to recycle cardboard on a Friday? This is about the fourth or fifth time in a row The Lackawanna County Recycling Center was closed when it should’ve been open according to their operating hours, anywhere else I can go??
Looking for a bus trip to NYC for the day for Saturday Dec 7th. Anyone know of any that aren’t sold out as of yet. 2 tickets needed.

Hi everyone!
My company wants me to transfer to their location in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and I’m looking for recommendations on where to live nearby. I’m in my mid-twenties, looking to rent and would love to find an area with plenty to do outside of work—restaurants, social spots, outdoor activities, etc. Safety is a big priority, too.
I’ve been checking out places on Zillow and even browsing TikTok, but I’m still having trouble finding the right fit. Some people have suggested looking closer to Allentown/Lehigh Valley since there’s more going on there, and I’d be open to a commute of up to 45 minutes if it means being in a more vibrant area.
If anyone has recommendations for safe, lively places to live in that range, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks in advance for the help!
I've had my license to carry for two years, but I've never gotten around to actually using it. Never fired or even held a gun in my life, so I'm not really sure where to start. Any recommendations on local gun stores or places to get started? I know Roll Call over on Keyser Ave does gun safety lessons. Has anyone tried that? So yeah if there are any gun owners here or anyone who has some experience, I'd love to pick your brain. Thanks!
My daughter applied as it has the program she is looking for, but I am unfamiliar with the school and area. How is the safety in the area and are there shops, restaurants, and bars that are walkable from the campus?
Voted this morning in East Mountain and was in and out in 15 minutes
Anyone ever work there, or know someone who works there??. Wanna know about the company vibe. I work at a cocktail bar now with rough management and protocol. Place could be good, but kinda sad the way it’s run. Therefore, I wanna work in a similar vibe. 16th ward rules in my own dining experiences there. Would be nice to know it’s run well too. Lmk thanks! Dm too if you rather not put info in the comments!!!!
Anybody know if there is a brush fire is in the Abingtons? A lot of smoke
Has anyone heard if Kamala is coming to Scranton tomorrow? Wondering where and when, and if it will affect schools like Trump’s previous visit.
Hey guys, this is going to be my first time voting and I am wondering if you guys know since what time does the line starts in the morning.
I’ll appreciate any response on this.
Where do you go in the area when you want to have a coffee and dessert? Especially in the evenings after supper.
