I’ll be driving up from Morgantown at the end of the month for a weekend flight. If possible, I don’t wanna pay $30 to park for a day and a half, are there any private lots that might be cheaper with a shuttle to the airport or should I just soak the $30?

Follow up: my flight will be at 7:10, I assume getting there at 5 leaves me enough time. I’m used to flying out of Knoxville, TN where I can honestly show up 45 minutes before my flight and be fine. I’ve cut it close at other big cities so I’m a little nervous about that time.

Basically looking to get it repaired ASAP, so would need someone that can get me in quick. Anyone have any recommendations?

Does anyone have an asphalt driveway company that they’d recommend? I’m sure it’s way too early in the year for them to do anything but I was hoping to get some estimates and line up work. I’m looking in the East End of Pittsburgh. Thanks for any help!

I'm traveling in and out of Pittsburgh airport this spring as part of a larger trip. Due to the times I'm flying, I'm looking for a sleep and fly hotel at the airport on both ends of the trip. In particular, I'll need an early morning/late night shuttle. I've definitely had a couple experiences where shuttle hours don't always match what is on hotel websites. I'm not above making phone calls, but I wouldn't mind some recent experience.

In the South Hills, in a neighborhood whose name I won’t mention, there was an unmarked law enforcement-looking vehicle today just sitting in a business driveway very close to a busy road and facing traffic. On its rooftop right above the windshield on both sides were license plate readers.

It was a silver SUV (Ford Explorer?) with tinted windows and no police markings or rooftop lights. I’ve never seen this vehicle here before and I couldn’t help but wonder if this was part of the ICE sweep.

I drove past it several times over a period of several hours and never saw it pull over anyone, but our area is relatively stable and safe. We have relatively less crime here and I just found this to be highly unusual for our area.

Anyone else notice this happening anywhere else? Could it be part of the deportation sweep?

I’m losing my crap trying to remember the name of this store that came up in conversation with someone I went to high school with yesterday, and cannot find a list of ALL stores that were in the mall back around 2010. We were talking about “the store we used to always buy our cheap sleezy special event dresses from”.

It was extremely tacky, but it was THE place to get a cute cheap dress for NYE or a College party etc. I’m talking tight, short bodycon dress when I say “nice” lmao. It was not Charlotte Russe, Rue 21, or Wet Seal. If I remember correctly, they only specifically sold “dressier” stuff like dresses and what not for special events. It was on the top floor near where Party City is now.

I’ll love you forever if you remember 😭 my brain hurts because I can’t figure it out.

Edit* it was a store for teenage girls and they didn’t have like regular every day clothes, it wasn’t a chain store that I’m aware of. Kinda one of those random stores that pops up that you’ve never heard the name of before.

Does anyone remember Crown Antiques across from PPG arena? It was one of the coolest stores ive ever been inside, and was the thing of legend. Millions of dollars worth of some of the coolest stuff ever just thrown all over the place. However, I just learned the other day that not only has the store been closed for quite some time, but the owner sadly passed away. Does anyone remember the store, and has anyone heard about whats happening with the store since the owners passing?

Hello yinzers! First time Europe traveler here, looking for any and all advice. Mainly looking for help on best ways to travel from Pit to somewhere in Spain. I've been told that we have a direct flight to London now and that it is pretty cheap. I've also seen that people like to take the direct flight to Iceland and then from there it's pretty easy to fly anywhere else in Europe. We want to spend the majority of our time in Spain/Italy, not the UK, so the idea of flying to London and then taking land travel all the way to Spain seems like a lot of extra leg work. We plan to fly end of Aug. or early sept, whatever makes the most sense.

I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest option, but looking for the best bang for the buck and also what's most direct and simple since my wife and I have never done traveled over there before. Thanks in advance and any other tips you'd recommend for a trip like that are appreciated, even if it's not travel related!

Hi there -- we are considering relocating and looking at Pittsburgh, based on its reputation for being more LGBTQ+ inclusive. Specifically, I'm looking for a more welcoming environnment for my gay teenage (14YO) daughter, who is also neurodivergent and has a less conventional style (more "scene kid" than "Sephora kid" ...) Am I on the right track in considering Pittsburgh? If so, what areas would you suggest checking out? Thanks in advance!
