New to area- need suggestions on meeting people in my age range

Hi! I just moved to Malvern (I know that's not West Chester, but it's easy to drive there) and would love some suggestions on good ways to get out and meet people in my age range. I am 24, in grad school, working full-time, and living alone. I like a little bit of everything: sports, board games, and anything that isn't a concert or a nightclub.

I struggle with the idea of how to go out and meet people in their early and mid-20s because I feel like most of us just sit at home and watch shows, games, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If you're also someone in your early/mid-20s in the area, feel free to reach out! Happy to chat and get to know people. Just want to establish some good activities and a social group.

Help with a holiday gift for my husband

This year, I am making my husband a book of dates. We are on a tight budget this year, so typical dates are out. We enjoy hiking, but we both crave variety. My plan is to make a booklet with a date idea written on each page. We would roll dice to pick a page, and then do whatever is written. That way when we are in the mood to go out, we don't end up in indecisive limbo or suggesting ideas that require too much money.

So where ya'll come in are suggestions for free or low-cost activities (max 20 bucks a person). I want a variety in type and distance. Some that are active and some that are less so. I already have a comprehensive list of places to hike, so I am looking beyond that. I don't want anything that is more than a 2 hour drive one way.

Thanks in advance!

Waking up today, I think it’s time we take a look at what is really dividing this town.

That giant line of cars backing up every morning.

Why didn’t they do the construction in the summer when the population is half of what we have during the semester? It took like 20mins to get from gay st to 202 today.

Potentially moving

I’m 24 year old single male from NY have a potential job opportunity in the area. Was thinking of taking it but I would know no one and start from scratch. I don’t know anything about the area and wanted to hear feedback / reviews. What’s the demographic like is there a younger community?

Politics - Call to Action

Last chance to get involved.

We need help to finish getting out the vote.

If you live in or near Southeastern PA, or know someone who does sign up and help.

Call off work, reschedule your plans, come help stop Trump and you can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

This is the last push we need to defeat him.

He won't be back if he loses, if he wins he won't go away.

We're only talking to Democrats, and reminding them to vote, and telling them where their polling place is.

Its safe, joyful, satisfying work, and it will make a HUGE difference.

If you're afraid to knock on a door, how afraid will you feel if Donald Trump takes over?

Anyone with any recommendations to skilled nursing facilities for my dad that just had heart surgery? Any places to stay away from? Looking around West Goshen area. Thanks!

Garage setback

Does anyone know the setback requirement for an attached garage addition in West Goshen? My wife and I are looking to buy a house and I’m trying to tough out beforehand if this is doable. The side of the house and the neighboring yard is about 20 feet apart. I am wondering if that’s enough to squeeze in a one car garage or if it violates any zoning. Thanks in advanced!!

Places to view fall foliage by car?

There are tons of gorgeous parks and preserves but I’m looking for a drive so we can enjoy fall foliage from the car. Ideally would love to drive to some cute coffee shop - get something to go and then go for a nice drive.

Thank you!!

To those in the 156th district, your state rep Christopher Pielli (D) is up for re-election. If you don't know who he is or why you should vote for him over his Republican challenger, here's a recent clip of him addressing the house on the need to increase COLA's for public retirees.

In search of handyman

Our door frames are warped on our 1890s townhouse. Looking for recommendations for a handyman or carpenter who won’t break the bank to replace the frames.

Thank you in advance!
