Moving from Baltimore County to York County?

Looking towards the future and my husband & I plan to move to a bigger house when we have kids in a few years. It seems like you can get more house & yard for your money just over the line into PA. Has anyone moved from Baltimore County to York County? Were you happy with that move?

Things important to us: Having a decent size yard Stores & restaurants within 10 minutes Kid friendly things to do Community that is welcoming to all kinds of people Good schools

York, PA Death/Thrash Metal band is in need of a drummer & a bassist

I'm the guitarist for a death/thrash metal band located in York called Influenza. Since circa February 2020, the band has just consisted of a vocalist and I. We've been having a difficult time finding an adequate drummer and bassist for the band. Despite this, we did manage to release a 3-song rehearsal demo back in 2021 titled "Dangerous & Contagious". More songs have been written since. After a period of inactivity, I want to get this band rolling again, and I need more musicians for that to happen.

General requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old to join (the vocalist and I are both college age/young adults if that's helpful info.)
  • Must be committed/dedicated to the band
  • Must have your own method of transportation

Drummers

  • Must be able to play at a variety of tempos & time signatures
  • Expect to utilize blast beats, skank beats, double bass drumming, etc.

Bassists

  • Must be willing to learn already-written songs
  • The majority of Influenza songs are in D standard tuning, but there are a few in C standard and at least 1 song to utilize Drop C

Influences include

If you or someone you know is interested in joining, send me a message.

Tom’s Gas Station in Shrewsbury, hashbrown supply?? 😭💀

There was a gas station they tore down about a year ago called Tom’s right off of exit 4 to get to Shrewsbury, they tore down the gas station but they used to have the BEST Hashbrown that has bacon and egg and cheese inside, it was incredible. I was wondering if anyone knew who the official supplier for these were, I cannot stop thinking about them now that I know it’s gone 😭

Thoughts on Rowen Place Apartments in Hanover

Hi all, not sure if this was the best place to post this question, but I'll give it a shot.

I will be moving to Hanover soon for a job, and I was looking at Rowen Place apartments on Pumping Station Rd, based on a recommendation from my manager. The place is still constructing units, and I did not see a lot of information online about the place. However, the units look nice and spacious, and the rent doesn't seem too unreasonable for what you get.

I wanted to get any sort of information on that community (both good and bad) from anyone who sees this that happens to live there already. Thank you!

Video from the Redlands Meetinghouse Tour

I apologize for the camera movement (I didn't have my tripod with me) and the audio quality (the vehicles driving by created a lot of background noise).

Participants needed for chronic low back pain and co-occuring depression research (mod-approved)

Do you suffer from lower back pain and depression?

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University are seeking individuals with chronic low back pain and co-occurring depression to participate in a research study looking at the effects of psilocybin, a psychoactive substance found in naturally occurring mushrooms. The study will investigate the psychological effects of psilocybin, including whether or not it can help with chronic low back pain and co-occurring depression.

Volunteers must be:

  • Have low back pain and depression as an ongoing problem (at least 3 months)
  • No recent history of alcoholism or drug abuse
