Howdy! It's me again with more questions. So I've learned that I can "shop" for my power supplier? I just got my first electric bill and it is totally fine, however, I like to save money.

I searched through some old posts and looked at papowerswitch, but wanted to get some updated information.

I think I get the basic idea - make sure to get a fixed rate, no cancellation fees, no monthly fees, etc.

I'm wondering how much the suppliers really jack up those prices after the intro offer. Because it is wild that PPL's rate is just so much higher in comparison.

Also, besides making sure to renegotiate prior to the end of the contract is there a better time to "lock" in rates? I ask because it is October and a lot of the offers are for 3 months and I'm thinking that will only get me through Dec, which is when rates will likely be much higher. But I don't know?

I also have UGI, so can I do the same with them? I tried poking around their website, but it isn't as clear to me what their rates are or if that is something I should try to switch. I haven't received my first bill from them yet, so I don't know what that looks like.

Really, I would want to get up-to-date insight based on the current state of things. Thanks!!

I have a son who just graduated with a BA in computer science and is looking for any entry level IT/computer science jobs in the area. Would prefer to stay in the area, but willing to commute some or even move if required. Any good prospects or resources? He's been applying, but nothing so far.

Does anyone know what the T&C's are for blue ridge for how long you have to cancel to become a new customer? I have a very rural cabin in the poconos that is blessed to have fiber internet but the teaser rate will end eventually. I can cancel / live without it for a period of time but does anyone know how long you must be cancelled before you are able to get new customer rates again?

If you grew up in the valley, you’ll know what I’m talking about. There was a center every kid used to go on trips to in the early 2000s. It was a bodies exhibit aimed at child education. You’d travel through the brain, heart, lungs, etc and at the very end they’d have a small grocery store simulation. I even remember getting “sneezed” on by the machine there as well, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called. I know it closed down a very long time ago, but I’m struggling to remember the name.

Saw it at the Racetrack station on Easton Ave. by Giant. I didn’t even need to fill up as I still had half a tank left, but I had to take advantage of that price. Especially since gas is still around $3.20-3.30 in Allentown.

I am a photography student at Muhlenberg. I was wondering if it is legal to wander around the premises of the old dixie cup factory and take some pictures for an assignment. I know it was sold, but I am unaware of any updates on the facility.

I have a VERY inquisitive 3 year old who loves animals. So far I’ve been able to take her to Head Over Heels farm for some really cool animal interactions (including feeding a camel), she’s fed a bear, lemurs, monkeys and bottle fed a pig at the Snake and Animal farm (no snake interaction though), held a Madagascar hissing cockroach at the Science Museum, and fed countless goats and a giraffe at the zoo. Today she informed me that she needed to “meet a snake” and that we should look for one outside because she “needed to hold it around her arm”. I have NO IDEA where she came up with this idea, but she’s quite insistent. I am NOT going out into the woods hunting for snakes lol. However, I’m super happy to bring her to an event or farm or habitat where she can safely, and with knowledgeable supervision have a snake interaction. So….does anyone know of anywhere in the Lehigh Valley or surrounding area where I can take her to make her snake dream come true?

Does anyone have a recommendation on a shop that can/will work on a dually high-top Mercedes Sprinter van? I’m having brake issues and need a decent shop to work on it.

I’m not taking it to the Mercedes stealership, that’s not an option. I’ve called a few diesel truck specialists and nobody wants to touch it because it’s a Mercedes. I’m a bit at a loss of where to take it.
