Good evening, Lehigh Valley!
I’m an independent musician, gearing up for the release of a new project, and would like to take more creative ventures while promoting this product.
One of the many ways I dream of doing so is working hand and hand with a locally owned curly hair care brand on tie in merchandise. My hair has been a large part of my identity my whole life, and with this next album I anticipate to create the most raw and personal music I’ve released yet, making my hair just as important as the rest of me to do so.
Now this is my first time even thinking about something like this so I’m open to anything, but if you know of a small black owned hair product business inside or somewhat nearby to the Lehigh valley, I’d greatly appreciate it!
Thank you!
Have a house with a vintage bathroom (1940’s) and need a plumber that can get creative with a tub spigot. Original to house and trying to avoid knocking out part of the tile wall to replace the spigot and gasketing. Had one other plumber come who was clearly over his head with the job. Any recs?
i want to go somewhere nice for my birthday its gonna be my 19th so i was hoping to find a place with good food and good mocktails does anyone have any recommendations? i would prefer someplace at least somewhat fancy because i definitely want to dress up and look cute
I want to do a cocktail and appetizer bar crawl for two friends birthdays. Any suggestions on nice places in the valley (no fun house)?
One is a big whiskey drinker. So far I was thinking of starting at McCarthys and then moving through the valley and ending at either three oaks or third and ferry.
My girlfriend and I have our birthdays coming up next month and I recently got promoted at work, so I was looking to take her out on a nice surprise date night. What are some of the “nicer” restaurants in the lehigh valley? Thinking along the lines of things like Kome or Melt.
Hey all, I’m B
I’m looking for some lady friends of similar age and interests because I’m feeling pretty isolated out here.
A little about me: 32 yo white woman, shy and introverted, not religious, full-time union job, feminist, dirty liberal, Bi with male partner, not interested in kids or marriage, fan of cats, makes lame jokes, loves reading and some occasional video games, critic of movies (even those I love), I don’t drink or smoke anything fyi, I like the occult, science and nature. A sad person lol. Vegetarian.
Music all over - Linkin Park (even with Emily, cry about it), Aurora, Fletcher, Panic! At The Disco, Chappell Roan, Paramore, Ashnikko, The Pretty Reckless, classic rock, lesbian songs that make my heart cry, etc
What I’m looking for: A woman who is of similar age and interests. I’m sorry, I can’t be a drinking buddy. It’s just not my scene. I’m aiming for low stakes like text around first, maybe meet up if we’re feeling it. I need community. Things lately are alienating in this damn region and I could use a friend or a group to belong to. A place to feel safe and comfortable. I’m hoping I can offer some of that back too.
No men please. I really can’t right now.
Help.

What’s a good recommendation? Not too strenuous but lessons to teach the basics. TIA
So just want to verify. We received an email from PA Dept of State when our ballots were mailed out. We received one when our ballots were received back after we dropped them off. We never received notice that our votes had been recorded. Should that have happened or was them receiving it the end of the communication?
Can anyone recommend a reputable Estate Planner? I would prefer a lawyer that mostly does this and not a myriad of other things. Prefer someone in Bethlehem but willing to travel as well.
Thanks so much!
At least 5-6 firetrucks passed near workplace. Any clue what is burning?
Friend asked me to bring some firewood for their living room fireplace in Palmer township. Where's the easiest place to pick up a few bundles? Don't need a full cord, thanks.

Can I shout into the void for a moment, friends?
I was laid off this month. Not ideal, of course, but honestly, I was underpaid, and I'm hopeful this will let me fill some skill gaps and make my next role a step forward in my career.
Expenses are high, but unemployment will help. I applied, waited out the first week, and filed my first claim on Sunday. When I hadn't received the funds yet, I thought it was strange, so I called.
They told me my direct deposit "wasn't approved" by the treasury. UC couldn’t tell me why it wasn’t approved, just that it didn’t go through. I asked what types of things might cause this issue. I mean, my phone number and address are my phone number and address. They're facts, not questions. I thought my bank account was, too. They gave me a number for the treasury, so I called them.
Apparently, JP Morgan Chase isn’t a "valid" bank because of "fraud concerns." The rep said that “online banks have a lot of fraud accounts, so you need a brick-and-mortar bank.” ...But it’s Chase? The biggest bank in the US? They just opened a branch four minutes from my house.
Our other account is with an online bank, which also isn’t valid, so now I have to spend money (even if just a bit) on gas to go to the ATM and then to my bank and back because Pennsylvania won’t deposit my money into my account.
Do we really need more red tape when people are unemployed?
Thanks for listening to my rant.
That’s it, that’s the post. I swear it’s been weeks since it’s been cloudy.
Hello all, moved to NEPA last year and living in Allentown. I'm interested in adventure racing and curious if there are other racers or individuals interested in AR in the Valley? Shoot me a message!
What’s the most walkable towns near the Delaware River that are open minded, LGBTQ friendly, artsy, near a college and train transportation or bus to Philly and NYC? Tell me the unicorn towns you’d recommend to check out.
Hello, I’m F in my 20s I’m looking to make some friends in the area… anyone know any clubs or anything like that? I like DND, playing games, board games, going out, open to suggestions! Allentown area preferred
Hi all,
Kind of a grime topic but my 10 yr old German Shepherd is in the late stages of breast cancer. I’ve been trying to save up the ~$700 to put her to rest but seeing her get skinner and skinner and the tumor continuing to grow is making me feel really guilty. She’s on a lot of pain medication right now so she mostly sleeps but it sucks to see that she’s not her usual self anymore.
I figured I ask if anyone knows of any more affordable options in the ABE area? Having her ashes returned is a non-negotiable, I feel very uncomfortable with group cremations because I feel she’s owed more than that.
I’m looking for a car and it would be a lotta help if yall know someone or yall selling yall car… I would appreciate it, thank you
Hi everyone!
My company wants me to transfer to their location in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and I’m looking for recommendations on where to live nearby. I’m in my mid-twenties, looking to rent and would love to find an area with plenty to do outside of work—restaurants, social spots, outdoor activities, etc. Safety is a big priority, too.
I’ve been checking out places on Zillow and even browsing TikTok, but I’m still having trouble finding the right fit. Some people have suggested looking closer to Allentown/Lehigh Valley since there’s more going on there, and I’d be open to a commute of up to 45 minutes if it means being in a more vibrant area.
If anyone has recommendations for safe, lively places to live in that range, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks in advance for the help!
Is there a local computer parts store that sells thermal paste for CPU's? I know I can order it online from Amazon or Microcenter but would rather support something more locally.
I’m dying for pizza. Not just take out and a regular slice but the best damn pizza in the Valley.
What say you?
What's the difference between these events? They seem basically identical except one charges admission. Is steelstacks much bigger in scope or just looser with alcohol?
Where can I find information pertaining to local and state elections?
Hey All,
I am moving to the valley in January for a new job. I know nobody there or where to consider living. I am visiting soon but I dont know whats the best places to look.
I was looking for places under 1500, I have a car and I am into outdoorsy stuff and video games. Sports are a big thing to me as well.
