PCP recommendations
Hi all,
My husband and I are new to the North Wilmington area, and are both in search of new primary care physicians. Is there a practice nearby that you recommend? Some background - I get pretty anxious going to the doctors (especially a new one) and have WCH, so it’s important to have a doctor that is kind and understanding of that. Also willing to go to PA. TIA!
I don't care how much you think college student's parents can pay, this isn't good for society.
Change of pace! Did anyone go down and go freezin' for reasons? I love this organization and helping out! My friend went down this year as a team. The water was a balmy 37! Those who went, how many years have you dunked.
Congratulations to all the girls, parents, and coaches! What an amazing season. 0 loses in the season. 0 loses in the tournament. Expect to to see big things in the future for these girls!
Been seeing a helicopter circling around for the past hour near the DE/PA border at 95. Anyone know what’s going on?
Trying to help my mother
Hi all, so long story short, I just moved to the area, and reconnected with my mom(60s). I hadn't been back to her place in 7 years but my older sister has regular interaction with her. My mom works graveyard shifts as a private nurse also for a little background. When I took my family to her house, we were shocked to find out that her 3 cats had pretty much taken over her room, and that the house just radiates with the smell of cat pee. There's some other issues with the house's state, but the intensity of the smell quickly became the primary worry. After processing and talking with her the next day, she admitted that taking care of the house has become harder lately, and the cats have been "waging a war" ever since my sister left her dog there(i think this was 3 or 4 years ago) and has gotten worse and worse every year. We've come up with an action plan where the first step is surrendering the cats. This finally brings me to my question. Does anyone know of any resources to help in this process? the cats are all about 12 years old so definitely on the older side of cats.
I wish through all my chats with my mom and sister through the years I had found out about this sooner, but now that I know I just want to help and get my mom in a healthier state. Thanks for listening and any insight.
TLDR: My mom's cats have become too much for her to take care of and she needs help in rehoming them
So I recently moved here from out of state and last year, I had a car transferred over to me. I messed up and didn’t end up getting my car tagged, although I did get my property taxes taken care of before moving. The tags are about 9 months out of date. Will I be able to register my car here in Delaware with my tags so out of date? Will there be a fee? I’m not exactly sure how this works since I’ve never registered a car in another state.
Whats your favorite spot why what kind of coffee do you get (black , sugar loaded , half milk ) or do you get tea whats your favorite tea spot?
My Delmarva bill went up from $374 to over $550 this month with a $230 delivery fee. Can anyone explain this? I’ll be calling on Monday morning and having them breakdown every dollar they charged me. Has anyone had success in lowering your bill or getting an acceptable answer?
Here are links to the Delaware senators and the Delaware governor. I urge you to call and leave a message to ask them to take a stand against the atrocities happening in our government right now.

Anyone been to a wedding catered by JAM Catering (aka Jeffrey A Miller Catering)? How was the food? It appears the company's reviews are skewed because they have brides giving them a 5 star review prior to the wedding day I'm exchange for a discount (which is a red flag). And there are a few negative reviews about food but mostly good reviews.
I’m having a hard time finding good crusty italian or French bread here. The supermarket bread sucks and the nearest Paneras are in Wilmington and Middletown.
Anyone know a good place to get good bread in the Newark/Bear/Glasgow/New Castle area?
Does anyone use Rover, WAG or any of the other pet sitter apps? Trying to see the interest level in Delaware. I'm a Rover sitter but wondering if there are other apps that are more popular here. Thanks everyone. Be safe
In sparrow run, on 40, my entire streets power went out. Wondering if anyone knows what happened? Delmarva keeps pushing the time that it’s gonna be up. The power went out and my whole cul de sac heard a loud bang. Wondering if someone hit a box or maybe a transformer blew up?
Looking for recommendations of nail salons around the Wilmington/newark area. Not looking for anything fancy for the nails! Mostly want to go cause my feet are very dry from the winter and lotion isn’t cutting it.
Hi, is there a place in Dover where I can get my taxes done? My wife is from Mexico, so I need an accountant who can help me claim her.
Edit: thanks for the contributions so far, anyone love their hairdresser in Wilmington or Northern DE?
We are considering landscape lighting and are looking for some recommendations for same. Please advise if you have personally used them and cost in relation to size of foot print. Thanks in advance.
About 20 minutes ago my husband got home. He was stopped on 95S near Marsh for about 45 minutes. There were about 8 to 10 state police vehicles with flashing lights. A car was on the right shoulder and when he drove by there were a couple of cops searching it. The car didn't appear to be damaged. Eventually the left lane was reopened, but the right lane was still blocked by cop cars parked there. There were no rescue vehicles. Right near the car's location cops had cars cross the median and go on 95N.
Anybody know what's going on?
Hi all! I have a lot of gently used adult clothes and shoes to donate. I looked online before posting here and I didn't see any resources in DE where I could bring items, so I figured I'd try here. Lots of M/L shirts, a few dresses, pants, and shoes in women's sizes ranging from 9.5-11. There might be a plushie in there or two also.
Happy to bring somewhere or arrange for pick up, if anyone has any resources. :)
Thanks in advance!
