Does anyone have any insight on 1500 Locust apartments?
Or any other good apartment recommendations?
I was wondering what the process to become a French TA was like. Are the TAs grad or undergrad students? Should the TAs have taken the course? Who do potential TAs reach out to?
What is the typical CIS Progression for a Submat? In other words, what classes are required and the order in which to take them? This would help with deciding what electives I can take.
Hello, infest is playing at the first Unitarian church tonight. I do not have an extra ticket, but I’m seeing if anyone was interested in general. Pm me.

I am going to be applying to Penn (or UPenn?) soon and I’m wondering what is the accepted way of saying it. I have heard both but it seems like students or people who are more familiar with the school tend to say Penn. does saying UPenn make you look like a casual?
For ED applications... i can see on my portal who 'my' ambassador is, but they still haven't contacted me and its been 3 or 4 days now. Should I be worried? What do I do?
Which STAT/ENM courses have you found are most relevant to engineering and/or research applications?
What are FNCE courses that one should definitely take?
Hey y'all. I'm a west-coaster who just stumbled upon the visual studies program at UPenn and it's got me thinking of going back to uni for the first time in 12 years. Can anyone speak to the adult continuing education culture at UPenn? (I dropped out of school after I moved directly to France for my 3rd year of uni and broke my spine. It's been 12 years since, but I had 2 college years of 4.0s and a 4.2 in HS. I am a 1st-gen student, low-income with zero family financial support to tap into and certainly cannot afford private school, so also would love info on potential financial aid. Also the minimum wage in PA is nuts and that's terrifying.)
A bit more info: When my back broke I stayed in EU for four years teaching & tutoring, farming, making goat cheese and distilling white liquor from old fruits, then working with migrants crossing from the middle east to Europe. Came back to the US when the political climate was starting to boil my brain and got a federal gig working with migrant families in Oregon for four years, have now been a part-time alt ed teacher for middle & HS for 3 years. I sure am sick of west coast culture, would LOVE to live in Philly, and I've never before run across a program that piqued my interest like this one. But I've been so hesitant about being that Weird Old Lady in an undergrad program. I'm only 31 but I ain't gettin any younger.
Any input is welcome!! Thanks! ::)
Freshman here. Missed deadline for petitioning course title change. I still have zero info on how to do this in the future.
I had stopped by the Registrar office at Cohen before the deadline and was told to ask my Advisor. My Advisor told me to go to the Registrar. The Registrar told me to go to Career services, who told me to ask my advisor, who told me tough shit.
Reached out to the registrar guy Rick Dunn who heads the approval and simply asked, "what are the steps for future reference?" He blew me off.
How the f@ck does one change the course title??!
How come NO ONE explained this to me back in July??
Getting any service or information here is an exercise in futility.
hello, I’m applying this yr and I was wondering if I could write my thank you note to the first teacher I ever had in the us which was my kindergarten teacher.
for context, I moved to the U.S. during the yr I had kindergarten and my teacher rlly helped me getting adapted to a new environment. she always helped me by pulling me aside during class to have one on one sessions teaching me english. she would also always be in contact with my parents to let them know how I was doing and gave them resources where I could learn and practice my english.
do you guys think I should write it to her or someone else??
Is it okay to email a professor to ask about the course syllabus before registering?
I applied to the Ph.D. program at UPenn this year. I’m curious about current students’ overall satisfaction with life at the school and in the city. The stipend is listed as $39,425 next year; I’d like to know if this amount is sufficient and if having a car is necessary.
Hi all!
Any thoughts on the Avira Building?
I am considering getting an apartment there. Could also anyone say something about the location? I will need to get on Amtrak every day, so it would be great to live close to the station. Is it safe? I am a petite woman with a small dog who would need to get out for a walk in the evening.
Thank you in advance!
is sepinwall or berkey better for lgst 1000 for spring next sem
Were classes recorded? Was attendance required?
So my friend wants to apply at UPenn for BA in criminology. We tried calling but had a hard time connecting. Anyway, she is from Canada so she would apply as international. She did a college diploma in police foundation and was wondering if the only way to apply is with HS grades? Can she apply with college grades and get credits too??
Hello, does anyone here know how to develop film at Penn and willing to help me do that? Thanks.
Hi! Is there anyone who has previously taken philosophy/ethics courses instructed by prof. Shereen Chang? She worked in your uni before ours. Could you share feedback about whether the course was taught well and if anyone experienced any problems in terms of course organisation/policies? Thank you very much in advance!
I applied as a Democrat with an someone on Locust. After my voter registration status didn't change for 2 weeks, I reapplied as an Independent with a different person in West Philly, and my registration was received and approved within a week. I was also approved for a mail in ballot (which got lost in the mail) when I very explicitly never applied for one?
How does someone get on the invite list for this. I have a gorgeous daughter (I know I’m her mom but I’m telling the truth) who really wants to go with her roommate and would DIE if she knew I was asking this on here.
Does anyone have any old midterm 2s for Honors FNCE 101/FNCE 1018? I would be eternally grateful if you could share them. Thank you!
Hi! So, I submitted an Early Decision application to UPenn. Much of my application revolves around web development and web design and creating software in general. I've made some for some pretty large companies and just made really "pretty/aesthetic" sites. I noticed in the applicant portal that it says, "Upload any additional information or unofficial documents you would like included in your application."
Is there a space where I can put that in? Am I allowed? They probably won't take a look . . but can I take a chance? Thank you, help is much appreciated!
Hello! I'm subletting a fully furnished bedroom in a Hamilton Court 3bd apartment for Spring 2025 and/or summer 2025 - comes with a full kitchen + living room and access to a gym and pool, and is a <5 minute walk from campus! Would prefer a girl as the other two roommates are also girls. Rent negotiable (starting in the 1000-1100 range), DM if interested!
