I am considering applying to the MSE in CIS program at UPenn and I wondering if anyone has any experience they can share. I'm curious about:

1. The quality of the classes
2. Difficult of courses
3. Faculty interaction and
4. Availability and ease of coordinating research for credit

Wondering about about taking summer classes both at penn and other institutions

I’m an exchange student entering Wharton for the Spring 2025 semester, and there’s a course I’m required to take for course progression. As I’m not allowed to register during the early rego period, I have to wait for PennCourseAlert to find out when that course has a spot available. However, the alerts usually come when I’m asleep due to the time zone difference. Would anyone know a way to circumvent this issue? I’ve spoken to the both the exchange team and the FNCE course management team about this - is the only option really just to wait and hope I get lucky?

I am planning to take it. I have heard it’s one of the hardest courses in EE. Does anyone know what the grading scale? Like how much do you need to pass the class and how much is A?

Which prof for biochem is better in your opinion? Dmochowski or Matthews? I was wondering based on how they teach and the exams, assignments, etc. are. I'd highly appreciate it!

Hi everyone, I applied to a few masters programs and I was fortunate to get into a few that start in the spring. I am now deciding between these schools but I am unsure what would be the best going forward.

• UT Austin MSCSO (online)
• UPenn MSE AI (online)
• UIUC MCS (online)
• SJSU MS AI (in person)

I think my main decision is really between UT Austin's MSCSO and UPenn's MSE AI. However, I am unable to find comprehensive reviews or student stories regarding UPenn's MSE AI.

I'm currently a student at Penn in a program that's not worth explaining. I have a student ID and everything but I am not officially pursuing a degree. I was interested in attending some classes within the Computer Engineering program but am not sure how to do that exactly. If anyone could give me a schedule, for example, which I could run off to see what classes I'd want to attend, I'd appreciate that.

What's the differences majoring in CS BAS or DMD for video game development and which might be better? Is one easier to get into as a freshman? I don't have a portfolio to submit that is optional for DMD applicants.
