Was paying around 75 for xfinity they added on an extra 30 each month. Outta control! And another 80 for Hulu So wondering if there’s bundle packages. Cheaper providers etc. Hulu is only used for sports. Thanks. Oh and Netflix on top of all this. Wish there was a better way
Is there anywhere in the Harrisburg area to get good scones? Thank you!
Hi! I'm in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend who lives here in the Harrisburg area. I'm visiting her this weekend tomorrow night I'm going to ask her to marry me at dinner.
I was hoping to find a stranger last minute who is willing to take pictures of the moment. Offering to pay for your dinner and your photography services.
If anyone is interested or knows anyone that is interested please PM me for details.
Here is an article from Inside Higher Ed about Harrisburg University and other universities and international students . https://www.highereducationinquirer.org/2024/10/bloomberg-exposes-harrisburg-university.html?m=1 And this is the university response https://www.harrisburgu.edu/news/2024-10-03-board-of-trustees-day-1-cpt-at-hu/ Opinions?

I've sold many vehicles over the years on Craigslist. It seems dead now. I have a car listed now and all I am getting is spammers.
I refuse to set-up a Faceschmuck account just to list on Marketplace.
Are there any other options of suggestions anybody has for getting rid of an older (18 year old) car in this region? I tried CarMax and they gave me a really low (but probably honest) offer.
What kind of jobs pay well here? Also, how is the community college here??
I am desperately searching for a last minute photographer for my courthouse wedding at the end of October (this month). I don’t even know if a wedding photographer is what I am searching for as I just want photos as more like a session than anything else, like an hour or two max. It will only be us two and no other guests/family. Please if you know someone or you are someone… message me with a quote pls :’)
Hi all, I'll be moving to the area in a few weeks. My job is in the city, for reference. I was originally looking at living walking distance from my job so i have the option to walk in warm months. However, after talking to a few people from mechanicsburg and middletown, they said they do not reccomend living in the city. I looked in some suburb areas and rent is a bit more or some were under 1k but had some questionable reviews. I'd like to keep it under 1100 as i'm trying to pay off my loans asap too. Does anyone have any recommendations of apartment complexes in and around the area? Maybe more friendly or known to having young professionals as well so i can make friends (i'm 24 for reference). Thank you!
Hey all, I'm moving from the literal hellscape that is Phoenix, AZ (it was 117 on Saturday. In September) next month and would love to get some feedback on the area. First of all I'm a 38/m with no kids. I primarily have customer service and insurance work experience, so I'm needing to find work as quickly as possible. Who are some of the "big" employers around the area and what is the pay scale like? Ideally I want some sort of job that isn't commission-based. I've been told I have a big, outgoing personality but I hate "pushy sales" work. Any year-round tourism based work? Or technology-related jobs that don't require a college degree?
In terms of the area, obviously we're heading into winter. I've experienced cold weather before when I lived in northern AZ in the mountains, so I have a bit of an idea of what to expect. My one hesitation is how difficult is it to get around in the winter months without a 4wd/AWD vehicle? Mine is FWD, so hopefully that will be good enough to get me around.
Hobby wise, I'm a big racing fan and I know Williams Grove Speedway is not far. Are there any other race tracks in the area that are worth checking out? I'm already making note of all the Farmer's Markets and can't wait to check that all out, we definitely don't have anything like that out here in Phoenix.
With that being said, I'm open to learning all about the area and looking forward to a fresh start in a new place.
My wife and I are looking at a property located about 1 mile as the crow flies from the entrance to the gap. Is there anyone who lives in that area that can tell us what we’d be in for as far as noise? How loud is it? How often?
Hi, all! Looking for recommendations for girls night out, a fairly local place. We all like dancing, but don't know of any good spots to do so. I heard of Sawyer's but have never been and not sure when they are closing for the season. Any ideas are welcomed! :)

I had good results here finding a mechanic so I figure I'll ask this one too.
Has anyone here gotten their electric panel upgraded recently? I'm in a 100 year old house in Uptown so I know it's going to be a pain for the installers but I'm being quoted $12k for the panel upgrade alone (from 100 to 200 amp). Is this as wild as it sounds for the area?
If I were to petition to have the bus run- at least limited service- on Sundays, what kind of response y'all think I'd get? A 10-20% price increase even seems fair. I've seen more ads on buses, so I'm sure a bit more revenue is coming in! Ha. Does anyone here even use public trans?
Any and all thoughts welcome folks! (I'm ready for the criticisms of Hrbrg government and me...)
I’m looking for cold smoked mackerel (like the kind in the Russian mukbang videos) for my girlfriend. She’s obsessed and I wanna surprise her. Yall know of any Russian/eastern European markets or where I might be able to find it in the area?
I can't tell if they are open on the weekends or just for special events and summer. Facebook and Google say their open, but when I drove by tonight at 9pm the lights were out.
I'm Ashley. 37. She/her. Always love meeting new girlfriends for brunch and coffee and stuff! Anyone want to get some coffee or apps or something?
edit: I found someone and if it continues to work out, then I won't need to pull anyone else. but I'll keep this up just Incase for me but also, it sounds like a lot of folks need games, any other DMS want to step in
Good morning all,
I am running a DND game here in our beautiful Harrisburg PA. We have been playing for a couple of years now but we just had two players leave, because they moved a thousand+ miles away so I am trying to refill my roster.
I had two people locked and ready to go but one just told me today, 5 hours before today's game that they don't think they have the time to join in anymore. So still need a new person.
Game world/table stuff. No shittiness, no racism, no role playing fetishes at people. We are an open group of people. We are newbie friendly.
At this point we would start at level one for a few adventures, to help out our other newbie, give some space for one of our players on a business trip so he isn't behind on the story, and to try out the new 2024 rules. After a number of sessions, we will time skip the players to allow for leveling up to the regular party.
So, if you always wanted to join a game, can be available today around 5, let me know
Hello everyone, my wife and I recently bought a house in Shipoke and after purchasing, our homeowner's insurance company has required us to make repairs on a small portion of the sidewalk in front of the house.
The sidewalk in front of the house is brick, as is the sidewalk in front of all our neighbors' homes, so we are hoping to stick with brick pavers. Does anyone have any recommendations for masons or other contractors who can do quality sidewalk repair at a reasonable price?
