Hello! I am a senior in high school (soon-to-be graduate) and am highly considering Lehigh for my Early Decision II. The reason I did not ED I anywhere is because I was unsure of whether or not I was ready to commit to a school that early. I recently visited the campus (it was beautiful) but I have a few concerns...
Social Scene - I am not a heavy partier (although I do not mind it) and I hear a lot of people say that Greek Life dominates the social scene at Lehigh. I do not plan to be a part of Greek Life, but I am concerned that there will not be a lot of ways to meet people/activities to do outside of Greek Life. Somebody I know said that they felt like they needed to join a frat because that was the only thing to do there, and he did not enjoy it that much.
Location - I do not live far from Lehigh, but I have heard some not-so-great things about the area around campus. I drove through it on the way there, obviously, but I did not think it was too horrible (or at least that was my first impression). I hear people say all the time that the campus is beautiful, but anything outside of it is run-down, empty, and eerie. I am unsure how much the outside-of-campus area matters because I have heard that most of the time you are spending on campus anyways, but I am interested to know how the area actually is.
Area of Study - I am a Biochemistry major, and am unsure whether or not I want to take the med-school path or do more research/lab work. I have read that Lehigh has great science programs, but I do not know if science is one of their main focuses (as I would want there to be at least a # of paths for me to follow). If there is anyone also studying Biology/Another science I would love to know your experiences.
I still have time to think through either committing ED II or RD (although I probably would not be accepted RD), so that is what is making this decision difficult. Thanks for the help.
What's easier? Mainly concerned about the exam difficulty...
Are there any other easier ECO 200+ level courses?
Scam
Curious is Lehigh is conservative/Lib or a good mix of both? I'm interested in a school that isn't mainly conservative/right wing. Thanks in advance
I have the opportunity to get a really nice e-bike and I was wondering if it would be worth having on campus considering the hills and the winter climate that's about to start. I live in Upper Cents if that makes any difference.

Hello, I am interested in cross-registering for SPAN 211 Business Spanish through LVAIC but would like to confirm that the class is a true 200-level Spanish class for people who have achieved some proficiency in Spanish or are heritage speakers. I have pretty good Spanish, as I have taken three semesters at Moravian, traveled to Colombia, and done some volunteer work and traveling in Ecuador, and do not want to be stuck in a pretty much 100-level class going over different indicative past tenses.
ENGR 010 is a 2 credit class and witmer is by far the worst professor i have right now. he's sarcastic as fuck on the piazza forums, which just pisses me off because there are some students that are just asking questions. he responds sarcastically as if he isn't absolutely shit at doing his job. he doesn't even give practice problems for the quizzes, the textbook sucks, and tells us to use chatgpt to study for the quizzes (which doesn't help at all).
just a calm lil rant
In the application checklist, it says Official SAT score is necessary and is also unchecked. However, Lehigh University says that we can self-report it unofficially, and there is Unofficial self-report section in the checklist as well.
I am really confused if we are required to also submit the official SAT scores or not and if so then how without paying money to collegeboard?

Hello I plan on applying to Lehigh for Early Decision II. I was wondering how the Lehigh commitment worked for applicants of Early Decision. I want to know if I get accepted how long after will I find out if I am accepted into Lehigh Commitment. I would really like to attend Lehigh and bring accepted into the Lehigh commitment would make it possible financially. If you have any info about the Lehigh Commitment Program it is highly appreciated.
I recently got into Lehigh for the spring 25 semester and I was wondering if I can start applying to TA/RA/GA before I reach the United States since I’m an international student. May I know where I could apply and look out for these positions. (Thanks in advance)
So I am kind of sick, and I don't think I am well enough to take the upcoming midterm 2. Will taking the midterm exam affect my grade in a negative way? And also, do I just write an email to my proffesor, or do I need doctor's note to show that I am physically unwell? Thanks
Did anyone buy a LeLaf Tailgate spot (Lehigh side), but isn't planning on using it anymore and would be up for selling it? Thanks!
Hello. My son is interested in going to Lehigh and I want to understand the advantages of applying ED/RD and if he can actually get accepted. He has a 3.6 GPA and will be applying test optional. We live about 5 miles from Lehigh and he attends a quality suburban HS. He will have completed 8-10 college courses (at the local community college) by the time he applies to LU and has received A's in all of them so far. He is a 2 sport varsity athlete with 5-6 clubs as well. He also attended Summer Camp at a university and won first place in an entrepreneur competition. Can you provide the pros/cons of applying ED vs RD? I got the feeling from some answers prior that if you get accepted ED, you are paying full price, is that true? I'd be ok paying 40-50K a year, but I am not interested in paying 80K a year.
I applied ED on Nov 1st timely. Should I be concerned or wait it out? I have also submitted the CSS profile on 31st Oct. What should I do now?
Fuck. Just want to make sure it is not too late.

Hey everyone, so i was planning on applying regular decision to Lehigh for chemistry for pre med and prob minor in CS. I was wondering how the chem program is? Also how is Lehigh in general? Do you like it? How is stuff like dorms, food, teachers, admins , the area, etc. I am applying to other schools like Pitt and Drexel for the same stuff so how would you say it is compared to them?
I'm applying to both schools that are city like and not city like. I like colleges that are more in a general city like area like Pitt and Pittsburg, Drexel in Phili, and GWU in DC. So how would I feel about the campus and the general area?
I'm going to take PHY 011/012 course un this spring 2025. I'm a freshman. Which professor should I choose?
I really want to apply ED, but I'm just really worried about not getting the financial aid I'd need. Here's my stats: GPA - 3.993 (not 4.0) SAT - 1260 (possibly applying test optional) ECs - Basketball (Captain), Golf, Volleyball, Boxing, School Service Coordinator, DECA, Patriot's Club (service org), Altar Serving, and volunteer in student bookstore. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Hey guys, I am a prospective international student planning to apply to Lehigh. I am highly fascinated by the opportunities and academic curriculum of the engineering programs. However, Financial aid is the most determining factor for me, and thus I would need to get full ride scholarship to attend college. I noticed that Lehigh offers many scholarships including those that cover full tuition. However, I also noticed that it doesn't offer full ride scholarships. So I wondered whether I could get more than one of the scholarships offered to cover all of my costs. Can anyone please provide an insight? I would really appreciate any response. N.b I have a very good academic record and decent extracurricular activities
i’m being forced to take engr 10 next semester and after looking at the rate my professor page for the only professor who teaches the class i’m actually horrified and wondering how people pass this class. is there any type of curve?
I'm looking to take a course at another institution - preferably at a community college so it is lower cost - to count as an HU or SS credit for Lehigh. I only need a two credit course and am happy to take it in really any subject. I've taken SPAN 012, and PSYC 001 and 107. Please share any courses you know that I can receive credit for over the winter or summer. Thanks!
