Hi, y’all!
So, I nominated my friend for the First Time Fan experience contest at the 10/26 game. Well, they emailed him this week letting him know he did NOT win whatever the grand prize was lol
HOWEVER, they offered him up to 4 free tickets for tonight’s Halloween game!Unfortunately, he can’t actually go because of work :(
But, he gave me the tickets and I only need 2 of them! So, first person to ask can have the other 2! They’re not great tickets of course (Sec 316, H15-16) but they are FREE (and me and my dad were planning to sneak down to an empty seat in the 100s with ours anyway shhhh) !!!
Go Preds!! 🐯
Edit: SOLD (FOR FREE)

It turned out a lot better than I expected
I got tickets for the game tomorrow and am taking the wife and kids. what time can you get in to do the pregame halloween activities? Aiming to go early but dont want to get there too early and have nothing to do with 2 children (4 and 6) also would really love to get the candy buckets for the first 5000 kids to make the kids happy :D
I have about 40 commemorative stickers (perd for scale) available! Pick one up (and help me clear out some of my others so I can make room for future releases) from the link in my bio or below.

My wife and I bought the theme package for Star Wars night and was wondering, will we get the jersey when we arrive at Bridgestone? This is our first theme night game and wanted to make sure we were getting our jersey. TIA
5-10-0 is a full 10 games later in the season than 0-5-0. Thus, it is painfully obvious that this team is better than last year’s, and that we’re starting the 18 game point streak early this year.
3-5-1, how much better do you feel about things today than last week?
Well, I feel about seven points better (LOL). I would say that what we’re finding out is we’ve got some resiliency, we’ve got some pride. Came back from 2-0 both games, that is tough mentally and physically to do. Chicago and Columbus are better teams than maybe you think. Tampa was a little bit of a slow start, Tampa felt it was their strongest game of the year. It was an emotional game. Thought for the most part this has been a good week for us, a necessary week and something we can hopefully build on. If we can take two out of three games the next couple weeks we’ll be where we want to be.
Do you feel now that you’ve got a couple wins under your belt …. Jared starts talking about line/pairing changes. Can the team take some of the pressure off and find out what combos are best for this team?
Yeah, I think you’re seeing that. I think what’s happened too, obviously when I coached, there’s times where you want to get those combos and you push for them and they dont come the way you want. In Bruno’s mind, we talked about a Skjei/Josi pair that might be really good, then Lauzon/Carrier, then Del Gaizo/Fabs, Fabs/Schenn, etc, but slow start by Roman and Brady Skjei hasn’t been solidifying that part so Bruno is moving it around and finding out based on Roman and Brady’s game, having a partner that is steady, predictable, it’s worked to stabilize their game. I think that’s caused a lot of those changes.
To that point, when it comes to everybody gelling together, I watch the team on the power play and I feel like it’s a click or half a click slower than it should be (YES IT IS). I feel like the quicker things pick up, the quicker and more often we’ll see one timers from Stamkos and they will come more in the bunches. Do you feel like the power play, that guys are still figuring each other out?
Yeah, absolutely because you’re looking at the talent pool that’s on the ice and you’re thinking it should click, should be automatic, and it hasn’t been up to expectations. A lot of deferring to Stamkos, trying to get the puck to him. Couple power plays where it looked like we’re starting to come together. Fil knows he’s as good a scorer as Stamkos and vice versa, Marchy can score and make plays, then Josi and Factor at the net that. They’re starting to respect each other’s skill. Take whatever’s open, don’t defer and try to get it to Stammer, let’s not try to be predictable. They’re intelligent players and you saw a glimpse of that. To this point, the power play has scored some big goals for us but you expect a little bit more. PK has been a game changer for us. And then goaltending, obviously we’ve gotten good goaltending and that’s one of those things that can give you a lot of confidence. The one area we have to be much better at is five on five play. Get more goals, thinks we’re -9 five on five. Once we get that dialed in, the special teams and the goaltending and the rest of our game will come about and we’ll be a lot harder out night in and night out.
When you coached against Saros, you knew he was good but that half a season you were in the mix, you grew respect for him about being the guy.
Yep.
You gave him the big contract. At some point, the goalie has to steal a game and then he goes and pitches a shutout. He’s been fantastic, fabulous last night. What does that tell you about the fact we were talking a week ago about hey, can he live up to what a franchise goalie does, and then in the week since then, has done all of that?
What it does is it reenergizes my belief in that. I never had any doubts. I just knew that he was going to come around and I was hoping he would come around sooner rather than later because that was the one area where you … I said this to one of the media people in Tampa when asked about goaltending and sometimes I come up with crazy analogies. It’s like having a sweater and you pull on as string and the hole gets bigger and bigger and that hole takes away your confidence (five on five game, trust, your ability to win games and go on runs as a group). So to me, having goaltending allows you to put everything back together, it gives you trust, belief, confidence, and then you’re able to put some games together and start marching forward.
What have you thought of L’Heureux?
He’s been good. I know he’s still earning the trust of Bruno. When he first came in in the Bruins game, he gave us a bump of energy and grit and spit that you need to give the fourth line identity. He’s pretty reliable defensively, which is a real benefit, allows Bruno to play identity line against top lines. He wasn’t going to be the savior but he’s done a really good job.
Stastney playing pickup hockey on Twitter. Do we have an update as to what’s up with Stastney because defensively it feels like he’s a piece that could help this team right now and we’re looking for clarity on if he’s coming back, when he’s coming back.
No, we don’t have any clarity. He’s dealing with some things that have really no time frame. He’s working with people on that and therefore I don’t have … I wish I did have some clarity. It would ease my mind and I’ve been as transparent as anybody. I don’t have a time frame, but it is encouraging that he’s out on the ice and starting to do some things that will hopefully help him get back to a position with us at some point.
How do you feel about defense as a whole?
The team, or group of six or seven?
The whole defense, the entire team including the forwards.
I think it is a work in progress. It’s not quite locked down. I think two things, down low we had some early problems with lack fo communication and duplication. That is part and parcel some new combos. Some of that is just not being sharp and trusting in what we’re doing. And you can create a lot of that trust with a little more communication, especially with putting pressure on the puck in the defensive zone and there’s sometimes duplication and momentum. That forward can go in first and get some skin on the opposition, get him pinned a little bit and then D will come in and vice versa. I thought early we were boht going at the same time and not having layers of resistance and they were hitting some pockets in the middle of the ice too easily. And also, awareness on offside winger that’s maybe leaving too soon or having danger awareness. This game isn’t perfect and that’s why the goals are scored. So there’s moments of imperfection in terms of defensive zone play and you need other people to recognize danger and cover those spots. Puck management is getting better and execution continues to be a work in progress. We’ve got lots of building to do, but we’re finding ways to win and that’s what you need in this game. We were finding ways to lose early, now we’re finding ways to win. Look at the positive in those situations because this league is hard. there’s no easy out.
How bad did you want Stamkos to win it in OT?
A lot. A lot. I knew Tampa would be revved up. They’re a proud team, they love Stammer, they’re great friends but at the same time, they have a new teammate in Guentzel and they’re also going Steven Stamkos is not the only reason that we won. So they were not going to let us leave there easily and they didn’t. They had one of their best games of the year. I thought we did a pretty good job of limiting them, but when we did give them an opportunity, they were extremely dangerous but we had the human eraser in Juice and he took away a lot of their opportunities.
McDavid will not be playing on Thursday against Edmonton. Is there almost around the team a discussion of hey, just because McDavid’s not in the lineup doesn’t mean that Edmonton isn’t incredibly dangerous?
I think everybody … if you’re a defenseman on our team, or even a forward, having McDavid not in the lineup, you’re going that’s one less thing we have to worry about. But I do know this, when you have your top player, you’re going to have everybody else crank their game up 5%, whatever it is. You’ve seen it in the past. Drai takes his game into the stratosphere in terms of carrying their team. Hyman will have his best game. Ekholm will come back and have his best game. You rally around sometimes losing your top player because you’re so used to those guys carrying the load. Now you all have to get your hands on the rope and do this together to stay in the fight. It can become a bonding effect. On our side, we’ve got to still know they’re dangerous, and they are. They’ve got high-end guys and went to the finals last year and have mostly the same team with some additions like Arvy.
Hello,
Where do I need to sit in order to be able to see the giant predators head? The one that they lower from the rafters before the game.
Thank you.
I posted this to the NHL subreddit, but maybe some more dedicated Nashville fans might be able to help. Does anybody know the song that the preds play in their locker room after beating the golden knights?? I can’t find like Any info about it anywhere
I just edited the new ‘47 pullover with the WC logo. Really would love to see this logo used more often
Idk if this is dumb question but I notice saros always closing his eyes and making a face when he’s in the net during a time out. Can anyone explain?

Would like to get a jersey signed as they’re boarding the bus to head to Capital One Area – does anyone know?
Hello! I’m going to a game January 18th. I’m coming from the UK, and it’s my only chance to see Fleury play. It’ll be my first NHL game I see too. I’ve only been a fan since last October so I don’t know where the best place is to go and get my Fleury jersey signed. Is there a specific place I can go? I’m sitting near the penalty box, Wild side, if that helps with the question. Thank you in advance!
Also I love Nashville Predators the most but I love Fleury too, and I’ll miss him after this season, even with the short amount of time I’ve been watching this epic game!

Dude gets into a fight almost every game. And somehow he always loses.
Why is he so bad at fighting? You'd almost think he'd accidentally land a punch or have his opponent fall down first.
I said Marshassault was going to be a better pickup than Stamkos which seems to be true.
