How does it get more and more funny as it goes
Hi!
I currently live in Eugene, OR and I've got next to zero friends that are hockey fans. My fiancee is a big fan, but she's a Blackhawks fan. My 2 close friends are starting to get into hockey but I'm wondering if there are any local fans in here that wanna be friends. I'm 31F, Leo, queer (no bigots allowed), born and raised in Seattle until moving to OR with my family in 09. Engaged to my fiancée we have a dog and a cat. I love to read and watch hockey obviously, but I'm also a Packers fan.
Honestly, moving to Reddit from Kraken FB groups was the best decision I've made. I've been met only with positivity in this subreddit and even just being on game day threads make watching the game that much more fun.
K that's all I got. I'll just leave my friendship application here. <3
U/sisterthirteen, you are a doll. I’ll definitely be using this!
Bringing back a post from 2022, let's take a look at how the Kraken are performing through 10 games or about 1/8th of the regular season.

Stats through 10 games each season pulled from the NHL website using queries like this and this.
Does anyone have a clip of Turbo rockin out to The Offspring? I was only listening to the game and following the Game Thread so I missed it.

What a performance tonight for Brandon Montour!

This is my second season watching hockey so I still have a lot to learn, and sometimes I just gotta ask questions.
I'm seeing several comments from Habs fans saying "at least Wright didn't score" and "Wright didn't contribute so I'm happy".
I Googled it but all I could find was Wright was seen as the first pick of 2022 with Canadiens first selection but ended up not happening, instead being picked 4th by the Kraken. Not sure I'm connecting the dots here unless it's bitterness, where they wish they would've picked him and are glad he wasn't utilized against them?
Obviously theres a ton of hockey to go but i think this is worth talking about.
This year's team has significant flaws, but they're certainly better than last years squad. Through the first ten games last year the Kraken were 3-5-2 averaging 2.3 goals a game and surrending 3.4 goals a game, with a -11 point spread.
They're 5-4-1 this season through 10 games, averaging 3.5 goals a game, surrendering 2.6 goals a game with a +9 point spread. That's a fairly big improvement; they've basically swapped the goal stats around. Now if they can do some tweaking on the back end, and our boys stay relatively healthy, look out.
I'm relatively new to hockey. Grew up in the south east US and my hometown just got a hockey team about 3 years ago. I thought it was sick because it was so new to me who grew up around your basic football/basketball and have been slowly getting into it throughout the seasons. I chose the Krakens as my main NHL team cause I liked the vibes, colors and honestly krakens are pretty fucking sick.
I never really thought about hockey serious until tonight's game. It was FUCKING WILD. The Canadiens were absolutely pissed. I've never seen such raw anger before it was honestly insane. Best game I've watched in my life. It was sick!
Hockey is so fun 😁

Going to my first Kraken game on 11/16 and was wondering what sections the Krakens warm up in? Any one have luck grabbing a puck during this?
When it the minimum time he’ll be out? I thought I read LTIR is a minimum of 10 games or 21 days. Is that accurate? (New fan with the inaugural season and don’t know the LTIR rules since I don’t think we’ve had any major player on it…unlike the Knights…also fuck the Avs 😝)

Here is the cross stitch pattern for anyone that asked me for it. The colors aren't perfect, but they never are with DMC, this is what I used:
Deep Sea Blue (outline): 939
Ice Blue (lighter of the blues on the inside: 3766
Shadow Blue (darker of the blues on the inside): 807
Red Alert: 321
EDIT: Updated the Shadow Blue code to the correct DMC color.
TURN THE CAP LOCKS ON, FUCK THE HABS, LETS GO KRAKEN!!!!!!
