Welcome back everyone to the first February edition of the flames pregame GDT.

Hopefully everyone has had ample time to mourn the loss of our Russian and our golden retriever, as tonight we get to see frost and farabee for the first time.

Line up and PP units from morning skate. I still think eventually Coronato needs to get tried with Huby and Kadri, but alas. I like the combinations for tonight.

Going to a flames game for the first time in a long time. I saved the tickets to my wallet and is that all I need to do? There’s no QR code or anything on them, they just say “hold near reader”. Am I good to go for tonight? Sorry if this is a dumb question

Does anyone know where you can purchase a Play Alberta sponsor patch for a jersey? I called Cgy Team store and they said they don’t sell them

with the recent trade with the flyers, i’m looking into supporting the flames now as well. i’m wondering if anyone can give me some quick notes about what to know. i know very very little about the flames because i’ve only really been focused on the flyers since i only started watching hockey this season. i’d like to be a multi-team guy so i figured with this trade it’d be a good start to get into another team.

I had an awesome experience at last night’s game, and I just wanted to share this cool moment.

So, I sat next to this guy named Hyun who was with his son, who was super chill and friendly, and we got talking about the game, Flames, and life. He was awesome enough to offer to buy beers for my group of friends and me, which we initially declined because there were five of us, but Hyun was completely cool about it and even insisted on getting 2 beers each which we said no. Seriously, what a guy!

I wanted to retaliate and noticed his son was wearing a 2010 Flames jersey, but it didn’t have a nameplate on it, so I asked him who his favourite player was. He said Huberdeau. That was my cue to do something fun! My friends and I decided to pitch in and surprise his son with a brand-new Huberdeau jersey.

The look on his son’s face was priceless when we handed him the jersey. It was such a nice little moment, and honestly, that’s what makes these games even more special — the people you meet and the random acts of kindness that happen.

Hyun, if you ever see this, thanks again for being so generous, and we hope your son loves the new jersey!

A local Non Profit is having their annual Spread the Love fundraiser. This fundraiser helps them with the money they need to operate throughout the year.

I noticed they have a Dustin Wolf Autographed jersey up for auction. Thought some around here might want a chance to get in on it and support a local organization at the same time.
