He didn’t followup with any explanation as to what the hell he meant.

Yesterday, I sat down and watched my first full 60 minutes of the Icehogs game Vs. Chicago. I am curious if there’s anyone on here that watched the game as well, or have watched others because there were a few players who gave me both hope and concern:

Arty is the guy I highlighted the most. To be completely honest, most of the shifts he took apart from the last two minutes of the game, he did not look great. His biggest area of concern was the forcing of passes and plays. He attempted long vertical/cross ice stretch passes all game, mostly resulting in a turnover or a dump in. I watched his pocket get picked multiple times, as well as following/watching a play develop and losing his positioning. On the second goal from Chicago, he lost his man out front and The Wolves were able to get a fairly easy tap in. I’m definitely being over critical, but for the first game I’ve watched I was not impressed.

Nazar genuinely looks good. He wasn’t getting puck bounced to go his way, but it’s obvious the teams offense is centered around him. He compliments Seney very well, and the two together drive plays many times they’re on the ice. He has a few in-tight plays working the give and go that display his IQ. This guy is coming along well. His only area of “concern” is he cheats plays to get breakaways. However, they seem to have taken and reigns off of him, so cheating the play might be somewhat encouraged.

Korchinski is solid. He skates the puck well, he drives plays and he’s an offensive threat from the back-end. He did get burnt once pretty badly leading to a goal, which seemed in character from last season while playing with the hawks. He really needs to round his defensive game and trust his angles better, but he’s so young that he just needs some more time to get those big AHL minutes.

Some other stuff that impressed:

• Gavin Hayes sniffs the net well.
• Colton Dach can still throw the body around.
• Brett Seney is a terrific AHL player.
• Louis Crevier’s size
• Del-Mastro had a great rookie season. Would like to see him replicate that.

This is overly critical, and I’ve only watched ONE GAME. Please critique this, add input or change my mind!

It's painful to watch the team just not hungry for 50/50 pucks while LA is hounding every second.

Richardson is essentially a statue on the bench, barely says anything to anyone, no motivation, nothing to get people in gear.

I think what the teams is sorely lacking right now is emotion. It just looks like their going through the motions.

I'm a season-ticket holder. I can't watch this crap team any more. I know they weren't going to make the playoffs, and I accept that. What I cannot accept is the pathetic play that we have to witness day in and day out. I will not be renewing my season tickets next year. Because of that, they should do awesome next year.

(Not a Chicago follower) The roster isn’t actually bad, the forward lines are looking decent with bedard leading the way with Bertuzzi and Teravainen. D is looking ok with Jones and vlasicz and some decent depth. Some good prospects with kurashev and korchinski. But what’s the plan in net? Mrazek is struggling and is looking awful just as he did last year. As a leafs fan, watching him between the pipes on the leafs was honestly very tough especially because he was supposed to be a promising prospect. The team can actually see great progress (in my opinion) with a good goalie, or even atleast a goalie in development to be the next elite goalie for Chicago.

So Ik im getting ahead of myself but I looked at the Upcoming free agents for next summer:

Should we take a look at these guys and see if we should bring them in to sorta speed up the rebuild or at least make ourselves better bc next year is supposed to be when we’re at the close to fringe contenders.

Last time I checked Martinez is close to returning and Brossoit could possibly be coming for the rest of the road trip starting tmr
