Mine is Robertson’s hardwork— he chases the puck, he doesn’t just wait for the puck to come to him. He’s a hardworker who probably needs more practice to get what he’s trying to achieve but you gotta give him the props for being hardworking on the ice.

Consensus seems to be that there's no point threat, too much perimeter play, not enough net presence, no right-hand shot, etc.

Ok but it's the same group. The core 4 & mo used to be one of the best & most consistent PPs in the league.

What actually changed? How does this whole unit have the yips?

Reasons

1. they aren’t scoring anyways so let one of the core guys rest a bit for when the power play ends and they can get back to scoring

2. he might end up making it a 4 vs 4 which would give the leafs a better shot either through taking a penalty or just being non factor

3. he actually ends up scoring just for sheer ridiculousness of it (I’d prefer this one for obvious reasons plus I actually really like Reaves)

As the powerplay continues to sputter, the Leafs (6-5-1, 13pts) face the Wild (7-1-2, 16pts) at the end of a back to back. Stolarz gets the start tonight and hopes to add to his 4 wins so far this season. Go Leafs Go!

I see a lot of people saying it isn't the coaches fault, one guy called it a players etch a sketch of pp coaches.

For the people who haven't played hockey it actually is on the pp coaches, it's not on the players. Players do what they're told. Tavares isn't going to put his hand up and say hey coach I can't play Power play tonight. The power play coach picks his personnel. If 5 different coaches run the same 5 players with the same result and don't swap someone for more than 3 games, it is on the coach.

Yes the same group of stud players can't score on the pp but it is on the coaches to realize that and make a change. The players don't make the call on who goes out.

Listen, Matthews is my favourite player… but he’s supposed to be Top 5 in the NHL. He just has not been so far.

He’s paid like it… he should get a bit more criticism.
