Stopped by the Blue Line to pick up a few goodies. They have the new jersey on a mannequin in the window. It looks great.

However , I noticed one issue with it. The silver sparkly areas are pretty scratchy on the inside. If you have sensitivity or issues with textures, you'll hate the jersey feel without a long sleeve shirt underneath.

Some players are changing (probably due to duplication) but Zach gets to keep his 8.

I wonder if they will all have patches of their NHL clubs like they do in the ASG.

Aside: I'm low key salty that Matthews is the captain. I know he's the biggest star on the team (so glad Patrick Kane isn't on the team) but I hate that guy.

Nice that Jordan Dumais...a 2022 3rd round pick who has shown some considerable skill in early prospect tournaments will make his AHL debut tonight with Cleveland after returning from injury.

so my brother and I are going to be attending the stadium series, and I wanted to get my jersey, but I have unfortunately missed out on my chance to get them online. Do you guys know if they’re going to be selling them at the blue line store, or in person the day of the event? I don’t live in Columbus, so I can’t readily check, and I haven’t seen any valuable information.

Im a casual fan of hockey. Sports enthusiast all the way. Since I have moved to Columbus, I’ve been getting myself acclimated to the sport of hockey and attending games . I must say.. this year feels different. Games like tonight where you would feel like was a guarantee to lose, they win! They have grit! God forbid the tragedy that happened to our beloved Johnny, but maybe his spirit or loss has galvanized this team and its approach. I hope they can keep skating and playing strong.

This is nothing more than an off the cuff hot take but I think the CBJ cross-sticks logo and new-ish cannon will be the team’s new branding starting season 2025-26.

I don’t think the cannon will be the primary. While that would be the popular take, I have decent reasons.

1. It’s not a good enough logo to be a primary. It’s decent but it’s not a legacy logo like the Wings or Hawks to fly. With it being faux-retro, it fits nicely as a secondary.
2. To the causal hockey fan or sports fan, it does not do a good enough job representing or being an identifier of the “Blue Jackets”. If Columbus were the “Cannons” or the “Battery”, we’d have a strong arguments. It’s just one piece of what we’re the blue jackets, from a historical perspective.
3. This sounds trivial but I don’t think the FO wants a giant gun as their sole identity. Maybe I’m off on that but I think this carries a tiny bit of weight.

Now for what I think will get push back… The new CBJ cross-sticks logo could be the new primary logo.

1. It may be basic but if this is true, of all the CBJ primary logos, it’s has done the best job acting as an icon of a hockey team that is named after and themed after the Union Army. There are few icons or symbols of the Union army outside the American flag. This logo does a good job representing a unique symbol of the Union army, the kepi badge/insignia of crossed weapons. Which is also an evolution of a former secondary logo in the team’s history.
2. The introduction of a brand new, one-off logo, of which they’re making a lot of merch for, that occupies the shoulder patch area where Detroit has their primary logo on their respective jersey — to me this can easily be mistaken as a brand introduction.
3. Touched on this with 1, but it’s so identifiable. A lot of new logos are simple and easy to spot. This one’s no different. C-B-J + hockey sticks. “Must be a hockey team with the initials C B J. Wonder who it could be?”

Today was my son’s thirteenth birthday and originally I was going to give him this for Christmas but decided to push to his birthday—-I didn’t realize until today 13-13 connection. The patch was from one of you (I’ve lost our convo, but I appreciate soooo much).

He is bringing the donkey with him to his tournament this weekend and hoping his team can use and have some good luck!

Are you ok with the potential of losing Zach for the season to a freak injury? I know you can say it can happen in any game, but I can stomach it if it happens playing for us. I myself don’t like it, especially for an exhibition, it’s not the Olympics

I’m curious about what is going on between those 2, and how it started. Also, would JT Miller be someone worth acquiring and signing him to a long term deal? Don’t really know much about the guy and hope he isn’t a locker room cancer.

I have 8 tickets available for the Stadium Series, Section 12B. We “upgraded” our tickets and are looking to sell the old ones. Just looking to get back what we paid for them, which was $175.00 a piece. Will sell in even pairs, so 2, 4, 6, or all 8. Disclaimer: they may have a partially obstructed view. I don’t know for sure and I don’t know the extent. I believe these seats are fully covered from the elements.

Tried getting some kind of AI to do this but they all were nightmare fuel. So ai resorted to editing on my phone.
