Was checking his stat, and he will play his 500th games vs the stars. I hope they have ceremony but the club giving understaffed, so low expectations.

Schmatlz finally breaks through with a goal and one of those sparkly Vegas hags has to make it about her…smh.
Keep goin fellas! Been a great game!
Got a pair of those $10 dollar huntsman charity tickets for the game last night. Figured I would show you guys the view in case any of you are interested. This is section 125, row 17.
It is a single goal view and the bottom goal is cut off, but for a cheap date night it was still a great time.
I was at the game last night and I noticed some of the jerseys I saw walking around have a darker color blue than mine. I got the official black jersey from the team store, so I’m wondering why they are different?
Went to my second UHC game last night and realized once again that we need a goal horn. It’s been 5-7 years since I’ve seen a Grizz game, but don’t they even have one?
Posting this video because I dig the variety the league has, but yeah a horn would help fire up the team after a goal.
At least we have a good crowd that’ll at least make it apparent we scored with cheering, but nothing beats that deep jarring horn sound.

Let's Go Utah!
Was wondering if with the gap in home games they have had the chance to clear the backlog and take more orders? Couldn't make it tonight but will Monday.
Really cool look into the conversion process, and shows how they are going to have to upgrade the Delta Center in the future. Obviously not my video

Go Utah!
Just posting how grateful I am for this team and this community! Hockey is such a fun sport, and I can’t believe we got the express track of getting a team here in Utah.
Y’all are great and I hope you know that!
Keep clubbing folks!
Warning: Long post ahead!
We are just a pinch past the ¼ mark of the season, and now would be a good time to do a mild analysis and spot check on where UHC ranks among their division and in the NHL. I'm also at my in-laws for the holidays and there is nothing to do, so might as well do something!
Let’s drop the puck and see where the boys are at!
Data presented as of 11/27 4pm PST
Team Standings in the Central Division, Western Conference, and NHL
We will primarily look at their place in the standings based upon points.
Central Division
UHC ranks 5th out of 8 in the Central division with 21 points. Winnipeg (WPG) ranks 1st with 36 points, and Chicago (CHI) ranks #16 at 16 points.
Western Conference
UHC ranks 11th in the Western Conference out of 16. WPG ranks #1 in the conference, and CHI at 16th.
NHL
UHC ranks 20th in NHL out of 32. WPG ranks 1st, and Chicago ranks 32nd.
Team Standing Stats in the Central Division, Western Conference and NHL
We will now look at regulation wins (RW), regulation plus overtime wins (ROW), goals for (GF), goals against (GA), and goal differential (GF or DIFF). GF is ranked from most to least, GA is ranked from least to most, and DIFF is from highest positive to highest negative.
Central Division: rank out of 8
Regulation wins (RW): 8th, tied for last with CHI at 5.
Regulation plus overtime Wins (ROW): 5th, tied with STL at 9.
Goals For (GF): 5th, with 60
Goals Against (GA): 4th, with 69
DIFF: 5th, with -9.
Western Conference: rank out of 16 teams
RW: 14th, tied with CHI at 5.ROW: 11th
GF: 12th
GA: 12th
DIFF: 11th
NHL: rank out of 32 teams
RW: 27th
ROW: 20th
GF: 23rd
GA: 22nd
DIFF: 22nd
Standings and team stats mini-analysis:
UHC in terms of the Central, Western, and NHL are below the average team with rankings that are 4-6 places out of a playoff picture. UHC’s GF, GA, DIFF correlate with their current ranks and standing in terms of wins. This could be in contrast to Colorado, who in the division rank 2nd for GF, but are last in GA. Colorado also ranks 30th in GA, but are 15th in terms of points. Utah is currently playing like a 20-22nd ranked team given their GA, GF, and DIFF. Based upon moneypuck.com, UHC has a 26.4% chance to make the playoffs.
Team “On Ice” Stats in the and NHL:
We will now look at what I call the “on ice” stats. We will look at power play % (PP%), this calculates successful scoring on the PP. Penalty kill % (PK%), this calculated success with killing a penalty. Net PP% which takes into account how many short handed goals occur during a power play, and net PK% is how many short handed goals during a penalty kill. This allows for a bit more in depth look at the “special teams.” We will also look at shots per game (Shots/GP), shots against per game (SA/GP), and face-off win % (FOW).
Disclaimer: I am only looking at NHL as I’m too lazy right now to calculate this all via division and conference as I would need to separate the data.
Power Play Percentage (PP%): Ranked 23rd with 16.9%.
Net Power Play Percentage (Net PP%): Ranked 20th with 15.4%.
Penalty Kill Percentage (PK%): Ranked 21st with 77.4%.
Net Penalty Kill Percentage (Net PK%): Ranked 24th with 77.4%
Shots Per Game (Shots/GP): Ranked 29th with 26.3 shots per game.
Shots Against Per Game (SA/GP): Ranked 18th with 28.7 shots against per game.
Faceoff Win Percentage (FOW%): Ranked 6th with 52.8%
Goals Against Per Game (GA/GP): Ranked 22nd with 3.14 goals against per game.
Goals For Per Game (GF/GP): Ranked 22nd with 2.73 goals for per game
Team “on ice” stat mini-analysis:
The data continue to show we are a below average team. Areas of significant improvement are certainly in the special teams (PP, PK) and increasing our shots per game. For some comparison, Carolina Hurricanes rank 1st in shots per game, 3rd in goals for/game, and 5th in goals for. We hear a lot of analysts say this during hockey games: “Pucks on net.” Pucks on net can mean shots, but pucks on net mean more rebounds, tips, and “luck” to help with scoring opportunities. More pucks to net, more opportunities, more goals, and maybe more wins!
Individual team leader stats:
Here I will list some individual stats for players within the team. No major analysis here, but mainly showing who on the team is leading in categories, and where some may rank in the NHL.
Goals:
Assists:
Total Points (Goals + Assists):
Points per game:
Where the top 5 for UHC rank in the NHL (based upon how NHL.com ranks them):
Guenther - 20 points - 40th (tied with numerous others)
Keller - 20 points - 47th (tied with numerous others)
Schmaltz - 17 points - 82 (tied with numerous others)
Cooley - 17 points - 79th (tied with numerous others)
Sergachev - 15 points - 99th (tied with numerous others)
Penalty minutes:
Maveric Lameroux ranks 3rd in the NHL for most penalty minutesJack McBain ranks 4th in the NHL for most penalty minutes
Mini-analysis: The folks we expect to produce are producing. Lamoureux please stay out of the box (which we can blame on youth and minimal development, he’ll get there).
Goalie Stats:
Goalie stats certainly are a little harder to analyze, but I have chosen to include goalies who have at least played 10 games this season (as teams tend to rotate goalies). Current data is out of 34 goalies who have played more than 10 games.
Karel Vejmelka:
Save % on shots on goal: 5th, 0.922
Goals Against: 1st, 23
Goals Against average (GAA): 5th, 2.25/game
Goals saved above expected: 2nd, 13.2
GAA Better than expected: 1st, 1.21
Connor Ingram:
Save % on shots on goal: 34th, 0.871
Goals Against: 28th, 43
GAA: 34th, 3.61
Goals saved above expected: 34th, -10.9
GAA Better than expected: 34th, -0.91
Analysis: Vejmelka good right now, Ingram bad right now.
Hockey has a lot of data, but I just picked out things of the most interest. All data can be found on NHL.com and moneypuck.com/stats.htm. If anyone wants to add any cool stats or rankings, feel free to comment below! I hope to do this again at 41 games, and see if the team has moved in the rankings.
Summary/TL;DR: UHC is currently 20th in the NHL in terms of points, and is consistently below 20th in the stats listed above. UHC’s highest team ranking is face-off win % (FOW%) where they are ranked 6th. UHC’s worst ranking is shots/game, ranking 29th. Moneypuck.com gives the UHC a 26% chance to make the playoffs. Based upon injuries and where the team is currently at with a rebuild, this is not surprising. Vejmelka has objectively been much better than Ingram, and is also ranking in the top 5 among goaltenders who have played more than 10 games.
Thanks for reading, and go UHC!
How has Sergy been for us as a #1 defenseman? I don't know enough to say whether or not this has worked out. I think it has, but I don't know, he's not been talked about in the various podcasts/ announcers that I dunno if he's any good.
Not sure how many, or if they have any in the back, but they at least have a handful of different sizes of both white and black. No shoulder patches. No player names/numbers.
Edit: Also all of their NHL branded stuff is also on 25% sale right now. Out the door I paid $145.
So stupid. I pay for this!? I hope the club's streaming options improve soon.
