Crazy that we’re a wildcard team. I really hope we make it to the playoffs.
I'm a Jets fan and not really a Redditor, but I figured this was as good a place as any to put these. I guess I made these a year ago using the Wikipedia home/away default as a template. That would explain why I made them in pixel art (also because I can't really draw normally so pixel art was the best medium i could use). Sorry if they're not good. I thought I'd share them since they were just wasting away in my pictures folder. Might as well post them now anyhow since the Jets are relevant.
Thanks and, as always, Go Jets!
This ones for Ralph from St. James
Before Podcasts like Kenny and Renny or The Illegal Curve Show, TSN1290s Post Game Radio Program was the best place to catch post game reviews.
Towards the end of the program, the radio hosts would open up the phone lines for Jets fans that wanted to call in to provide feedback.l or ask questions.
Ralph called in after every game and provided fantastic feedback. He was a very positive and glass half full kind of guy.
On a personal note, often times I would go for a drive in my little red truck down the highway just to catch the post game on the radio and listen to Ralph's hot takes. It became tradition.
I think a big part of it was that Ralph reminded me of my Grandfather before he passed, and I wanted to hear his voice and positive takes any chance that i could get.
He closed out all of his calls with his signature phrase by reminding Jets fans/listeners "to keep their stick on the ice."
He will surely be missed within the Winnipeg Jets Community.

What a time to be a Jets fan! 12-1 and getting better. Hopefully they get a little revenge tomorrow night.
I was looking through the upcoming home schedule last night while watching the game and noticed something odd. The Jets have 8 home games in December and 10 in January. That’s almost half their home schedule in just those two months. I was part of a season ticket group for the first 11 years and I don’t remember anything close to that for those 2 months.
Now don’t worry. This won’t be a depressing attendance rant with doom and gloom hot takes. The two year slide down to 89% capacity last season has been turned in the right direction, and I am very confident the momentum will continue, but bloody hell that’s a lot of games around the holidays! I’m having a tough time seeing how we don’t have some low attendance numbers for a decent amount of those games. It doesn’t appear that True North got the buy in from the corporate community that they were hoping for this season. They haven’t said how many of the 500 season seats they’ve added were businesses but they are still likely around that 15% corporate support number if I had to guess. Their bottom 3 attendances so far have come in around 12,900. I’m hoping that’s the bottom for less desirable games this year. Games like all of the Sunday-Thursday games during that 18 game stretch in December and January.
True North should have an insane Black Friday sale. They should sell every available seat for season ticket member pricing and no fees. They should also throw in a concession incentive for every 4 tickets purchased. Season seat holders should get a presale and then the general public jumps in. I think it would do well.
So many necessities have chewed into everyone’s disposable income. It’s just a fact. If selling out that building largely falls on personal incomes and not corporate write offs then the Jets have to get creative as well as realize the realities facing their fan base. True North should take advantage of an opportunity to earn some good will. “Hey Jets fans, we understand times are tight and with the holidays coming up we wanted to offer our best deal yet”.
I think that would be received very well by the fan base. The climb back up to 13,000 seat season holders started this season and I believe they’ll keep going up each offseason. They won’t always have this opportunity to do something really cool for their fans around the holidays. I’ve seen their promotions so far this year. They aren’t bad. But I don’t think they’re going to move the needle during that 18 game stretch. With 8 Friday/Saturday games, the 10 Sunday-Thursday games are going to be a tough sell without a really solid deal.
What say you?
GO JETS GO!!!!!!
