The team needs to get better on offense

I feel bad seeing michkov in his first year not even ever being in the offensive zone, a part of me says kets tank, but if we tank michkov isn't gonna be able to score, no one is scoring from his passes, and every goal he gets is usually an individual effort, except for the one against Edmonton where frost passed to him

Why are the Flyers afraid of rebuilding the right way?

We've gone through decades of retools that have led to absolutely no success and now judging by the Briere-led managements decision to see Scott Laughton as an untouchable when offered a first round pick (far above his actual value as a player) as well as mediocre young talents like Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee, it does seem like they're gonna rush this "rebuild" and try to win now just because Michkov is here. The issue I have with that is that we only have one high-ish level talent who can play with Michkov in Konecny who is a solid middle six winger on a contending team. Do no other fans see the issue with trying to turn this season around and passing up on any chance of one day bringing in a real center to play with Michkov? Good free agents don't come to Philly, the draft is our only option and I can already feel torts is gonna drag us to the middle of the pack, miss the playoffs, and then we pick 15th overall and get another Jay O'Brien or mediocre middle six-er.

Noah Cates looks BIG this season to me. Anyone else notice/think that? His frame looks much bigger than I recall, and he carries it well. Flyers site has him listed at 6-2 and 194.

comparing draft profile to the flyer site he's grown an inch and put on a good 25lb since his draft year. The fourth line tonight looks like a line you want to make a playoff run with; big Florida Panthers vibes. Cates, Poehling, and Hathaway are all 6'2" (Foerster 6-2, and Coots 6-4, are only other Fs at 6-2+). They can all skate well, especially Poehling. They all have physicality and strong hockey sense you want from a playoff 4th line. And they all have enough skill that they can put together some time in the O-zone. That Poehling assist tn was a beauty. Don't think we'll be seeing them making a mark in the playoffs this year with our team sv% in the 80s and scoring like 2 goals a game.

Ice time vs Blues: Defense- Sanheim a beast at 25:48, Risto 23:42, then Dry, Andrae, Seeler drops to 5th. Forwards- TK a beast at 22:04, Coots 18:46, then Tippet jumps up to 3rd, then Laughton, Cates, Hathaway, Michkov drops to 7th at 13:56 tied with Foerster and Frost.

Tippet got 5 more minutes than vs the Bruins.

Seeler dropped from 3rd to 5th.

Michkov drops for 2nd straight game.

TK and Sanheim continue to be work horses.

Risto is still kicking butt, gets another +1.

It seems Torts rewards the goal scorers. Hathaway got a bump vs the Blues just like Foerster got a bump vs the Bruins.

Does anyone know what happens with the Flyers retained salary if the penguins were to buyout Hayes? Does it get paid out over the length and terms of the buyout?
