The near future of drafting college quarterbacks is about to change bigtime

With the new changes to compensation for college football players, I see a very near future where players like Arch Manning (maybe not him specifically) stay in college for the maximum number of years allowed and make more money than they would on a rookie NFL contract. Star players coming out early will be a thing of the past. Any thoughts?

Now that the first half of the season is in the books, what are your team’s biggest needs so far?

Just what the title says. For example, everyone with a brain knows the Giants need a new QB. The state of the secondary is tragic and we need some OL to try to get to next level. How has the development of this season impacted your team’s draft needs? And which position do you guys are feeling good about?

QB Rankings

Drop your QB rankings for the upcoming draft below

I haven't analyzed it a ton, but from casually watching games Drew Allar and Garrett Nussemeier have stood out to me as two players with high ceilings. I think Ward has a lot of potential too, but have some questions about his play out of structure. The rest I am not sold on as first round picks. Let me know your guys thoughts on each of the QB's.

Does Tyler Shough have any NFL future?

Given Shough is in his 7th year of college and has a pretty extensive injury history, I have a hard time seeing a team taking even a late round flyer on him. However, I also think he’s much more talented than his predecessor at Louisville Jack Plummer, so if Plummer can make a practice squad as a UDFA I certainly think Shough could as well. Does Shough have a shot to make the NFL?

2025 vs 2020-2024

Hello! As I'm sure you are all aware and tired of hearing at this point, the 2025 draft class is all around weird. It has some of the deepest talent in the later half of the first and the 2nd round we've seen in years, but it's top end is probably the worst in years as well, making for an all around class where things are consistnetnly shifting and nothing is for certain.

That has me wondering: How exactly DOES the top end of this class compare to some older classes. Specifically, if we took the worst top rated prospects from 2020-2024, and put it against the top prospect in 2025 at every position, how would 2025 stack up. I've compiled a list that (I think) fairly accounts for that. I did have to make a few judgement calls on a few positions, but otherwise I am pretty happy with this.

QB: Kenny Pickett vs Your Top 2025 QB

RB: Jonathon Brooks vs Ashton Jeanty

WR: Jaxson Smith-Njigba vs Your Top 2025 WR

TE: Trey McBride vs Your Top 2025 TE

OT: Paris Johnson Jr. vs Your Top 2025 OT

IOL: Cesar Ruiz vs Your Top 2025 IOL

EDGE: Jaelan Phillips vs Your Top 2025 EDGE

DT: Christian Barmore vs Mason Graham

LB: Edgerrin Cooper vs Your Top 2025 LB

CB: Quinyon Mitchell vs Your Top 2025 CB

S: Tyler Nubin vs Your Top 2025 S

I'm curious how most of this sub feels about this! As always, have a fantastic day as well!

My own personal mock draft

This is an actual mock draft done by yours truly

  • 1- Cam Ward (QB)- Carolina Panthers; Panthers go quarterback here and draft Cam Ward who will be the future for the Panthers going forward at that position; Bryce Young experiment is over in Carolina

  • 2- Shedeur Sanders (QB)- Tennessee Titans; Titans go quarterback also and Will Levis' time as the starter in Tennessee comes to an end; Deion and Shedeur pull an Archie/Eli from 2004 to make sure that Shedeur doesn't go to Carolina at 1...so he ends up in Tennessee

  • 3- Travis Hunter (CB/WR)- New England Patriots; one of Deion's kids...goes right after Shedeur with Travis going 3rd overall to the Patriots...why? Patriots need a big time playmaker on both sides of the ball and lucky for us that Hunter is a dual hybrid type player who can play both sides of the ball...did it at Colorado under Deion and he could do it for us in New England especially playing as a corner opposite Christian Gonzalez and then on offense he gives Drake Maye a more reliable weapon to throw to; our O line and D line we can address that in later rounds and in free agency

  • 4- Mason Graham (DL)- New York Jets; Jets go defense here and take Graham at 4 because their defense needs to be strengthened a lot more

  • 5- Will Johnson (CB)- Jacksonville Jaguars; Jaguars go corner here and take the next best corner after Travis Hunter goes off the board to the Patriots

  • 6- Mykel Williams (EDGE)- New Orleans Saints; Saints go defense and take edge rusher with Williams going at 6 to them because for me I just have him as EDGE 1

  • 7- Jalen Milroe (QB)- Las Vegas Raiders; Raiders go quarterback here and take Milroe 7th overall; dual threat QB who is not only mobile but he has improved also on his accuracy and Milroe definitely would be an upgrade to anything they currently have at the QB position

  • 8- Tetairoa McMillan (WR)- Cleveland Browns; Browns do not go quarterback here but instead go wide receiver and it makes sense especially after losing Amari Cooper via trade to Buffalo; plus if you bring back Jameis as a QB for next year he would serve as a bridge QB so that way you can go and get a QB in the 2026 Draft

  • 9- Kelvin Banks Jr (OT)- New York Football Giants; Giants in Big Blue here in my mock draft surprisingly do not go quarterback here but instead go offensive tackle and take Banks here at #9 overall; they ride it out with Daniel Jones again at QB until 2026 and wait for that quarterback class

  • 10- Will Campbell (OT)- Miami Dolphins; Dolphins also go offensive tackle to give Tua Tagavailoa protection which is what they have to do so they go with Campbell here at #10 overall

  • 11- Luther Burden III (WR)- Cincinnati Bengals; Bengals in my mock go wide receiver and take Burden 11th overall; why? Because Tee Higgins is a free agent after this season but also because you need to have someone who is more younger and can be more dynamic next to Ja'Marr Chase; defense can be addressed in later rounds and or free agency

  • 12- Benjamin Morrison (CB)- Los Angeles Rams; Rams go corner here at 12 and take Morrison

  • 13- Ashton Jeanty (RB)- Dallas Cowboys; Cowboys don't even have to move up to get him...he falls right into Jerry Jones' lap at 13 overall and they run up to the podium without hesitation; Cowboys need a running back and Jeanty would solve a lot of problems

  • 14- Malaki Starks (S)- Indianapolis Colts; Colts need a safety here and go Starks at 14th overall

  • 15- Nic Scourton (EDGE)- Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Buccaneers go edge rusher for defense and take Scourton who I have as my EDGE 2

  • 16- Aireontae Ersery (OT)- Seattle Seahawks; Seahawks go offensive tackle giving Geno Smith protection which is what they clearly need

  • 17- Cameron Williams (OT)- San Francisco 49ers; 49ers go offensive tackle here too and take Williams 17th overall; gotta protect Brock Purdy

  • 18- LT Overton (EDGE)- Chicago Bears; Bears I think get a steal of a Draft pick here at 18th overall taking LT Overton 18th overall which helps bolster their defense even more

  • 19- Tyleik Williams (DT)- Arizona Cardinals; Cardinals go defense here and take Williams 19th overall

  • 20- Walter Nolen (DT)- Los Angeles Chargers; Harbaugh prioritizing defense as the Chargers go defense here taking Nolen 20th overall

  • 21- Jack Sawyer (EDGE)- Atlanta Falcons; Falcons go edge rusher prioritizing the defense by taking Sawyer here at 21

  • 22- Emeka Egbuka (WR)- Denver Broncos; Broncos go wide receiver here with Sean Payton and the front office going offense giving Bo Nix another weapon on offense to throw to; making their offense that much more dynamic

  • 23- Jonah Savaiinaea (IOL)- Baltimore Ravens; Ravens go O lineman basically giving Lamar Jackson even more protection on offense making sure Lamar cooks

  • 24- James Pearce Jr (EDGE)- Philadelphia Eagles; Eagles get a steal here at 24 at the EDGE position by taking Pearce; Eagles need more help defensively and Pearce would give them that

  • 25- Jalon Walker (LB/EDGE)- Minnesota Vikings; Vikings at that point go BPA (best player available) especially on the defensive side of the ball and go with Jalon Walker

  • 26- Isaiah Bond (WR)- Buffalo Bills; giving Josh Allen yet another weapon on offense to throw to especially if Amari Cooper is just a rental player and he does not come back; Bond is basically insurance

  • 27- Tre Harris (WR)- Pittsburgh Steelers; Steelers also go wide receiver in this draft and take Harris at 27th overall; Harris could be one of those steals in the draft and if he ends up in an offense like Tomlin's, he will feast

  • 28- Denzel Burke (CB)- Green Bay Packers; Packers go corner here and take Burke 28th overall in my mock

  • 29- Shavon Revel Jr (CB)- Washington Commanders; Commanders at 29th overall in my mock go corner and take Revel

  • 30- Emery Jones (OT)- Houston Texans; Texans in my mock at 30th overall go offensive tackle taking Emery Jones; gotta protect CJ Stroud

  • 31- JT Tuimoloau (EDGE)- Detroit Lions; Lions go edge rusher and take Tuimoloau here at 31 overall

  • 32- Josh Simmons (OL/OT)- Kansas City Chiefs; Chiefs at 32 overall go offensive tackle giving Patrick Mahomes even more protection on offense

Look at the 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023 qb drafts. Nobody should be reaching on a qb in the 1st round of 2025 with how awful it’s looking to be

The 2025 qb draft looks to be awful. The fact that sanders is going to go arguably #1 when he might not even by #6 of last year is a testament. Every time there’s a weak qb draft and teams reach on need it falls flat on their face.

2019 Kyler was the only sure thing. Giants needed a qb and reached on DJ. Everyone knew he’s not a top qb but they took him and are still feeling the effects of that pick to this day.

2022 the class was awful and the Steelers reached in Pickett in the 1st round. Career backup now.

2023: everyone knew Anthony Richardson and Will Levi’s were not cut out yet qb needy teams reached on them.

I’ll throw 2021 in there too because it’s so bad. 2021 people really reached on Wilson and Lance especially. One came out of byu in a Covid year and the other only played like 300 snaps at North Dakota state in his career.

2025 is going to suck for sure. Don’t draft a qb this time early, either shore up other positions for 2026 or trade back to get a haul. Reaching in the 2025 draft will lead to bust status. Zero chance sanders is a success, tools be damned. He’s got his head in ass and the first sight of adversity he’ll either quit, blow up to teammates or coaches, and crumble.

how many teams would actually draft a QB in the first round?

The 2025 QB class doesn't seem loaded with talent, but there are at least some options here. I'd count as least two likely R1 picks (Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders), three potential R1 picks (Quinn Ewers, Jalen Milroe, Carson Beck), and two more dark horse R1 picks to sneak in at the end of the round (Drew Allar, Garrett Nussmeier, maybe even Cade Klubnik).

But how many teams are actually in the market for a R1 QB? Here's my best guess at the teams most likely to pull the trigger.

RED LIGHT: teams that will NOT consider a QB

You'd have to start with the teams that already have elite QB play like Kansas City, Buffalo, Baltimore, and Cincinnati. You can debate the word "elite" from here, but I don't see any viable upgrade for the L.A. Chargers, for Philadelphia, Houston, Green Bay, or even Jacksonville.

Other QBs haven't been fully embraced for their full careers but have started to play well lately. Given that, I'm going to rule out Detroit, Tampa Bay, and Arizona. Sure, if they landed at # 1 and saw Andrew Luck sitting there they'd pull the trigger, but this QB class doesn't have a top-notch prospects like that.

We also have to exclude teams that just took a R1 QB in this past draft, which scratches out Chicago, Washington, New England, Atlanta, Denver, and Minnesota.

Contracts may cloud the QB situations in Dallas and San Francisco, but I honestly don't expect any changes there either.

YELLOW LIGHT: teams that would at least CONSIDER a QB

(12) Miami. Current starter Tua Tagovailoa is only 26 years old and is on a big money contract. There's no reason to debate the future at the position -- in a world where you could turn "off" injuries and his health would be guaranteed. At this point with Tagovailoa, nothing is guaranteed. I'd fully expect the Dolphins to address the backup QB situation (with a rookie or veteran) in the offseason to safeguard themselves. However, I'd be surprised if that was an early draft pick. As long as Tua is active, it doesn't make sense to double up an investment there. Obviously if Tua gets hurt again, then Miami jumps up into the top 3/5.

(11) Seattle. Now in his third year as a starter, we have to embrace the fact that Geno Smith is a good NFL QB. That said, he's 34 years old. It'd be reasonable if the Seahawks wanted to draft his heir apparent at some point. However, they already have Sam Howell (only 24) already on the roster as a decent developmental player. Given the depth chart, I don't see them forcing the issue here.

(10) New Orleans. On paper, the depth chart in New Orleans looks solid as well. Derek Carr (age 33) has played well in his first season under OC Klint Kubiak. R5 pick Spencer Rattler showed some promise, too, and can be your developmental shot in the dark. The biggest concern for both would be the threat of an entirely new coaching staff. If/when Dennis Allen gets the boot, a new coach and/or GM may want to come in and wipe the slate clean. The Saints are in salary cap hell (again), which increases that threat. But barring an extreme reaction, I figure QB will not be the most immediate concern for the next administration.

(9) L.A. Rams. Here's another case of a franchise that will at least have to consider the future beyond their current starter. Matt Stafford is even better than our previous two QBs, but he's even older at 36 (and turning 37 in February). Backup Stetson Bennett hasn't established himself as a reliable heir either. My suspicion is that the Rams will keep the depth chart set until Stafford officially retires, but we can't rule out a R1 pick.

BRIGHT! YELLOW LIGHT: teams that would strongly consider a QB

(8) Pittsburgh. Mike Tomlin's Steelers have shown that they can win games with Justin Fields. They've shown that they can win games with Russell Wilson. That can work both ways. Maybe they think they're OK with those two options. Alternatively, maybe they think the roster is good enough to spend a "luxury pick" on the future QB like Atlanta did this past year with Michael Penix. Wilson (age 35) can buy that heir a year or two to develop.

(7) Indianapolis. The coaching staff is apparently sitting Anthony Richardson this week in favor of Joe Flacco. If that's true, Richardson will be the THIRD QB from 2023 to get benched (after Bryce Young and Will Levis). My suspicion is that Richardson has more of a chance of a second life with the team given the fact that he was always presumed to be a project. Bringing in a younger bridge QB (like Sam Darnold?) may make sense to buy Richardson more time on the bench, but his future is firmly on the bubble now.

(6) Cleveland. Based on football production alone, the Cleveland Browns should not only bench Deshaun Watson -- they should arguably cut him outright. The problem is that his contract makes that extremely difficult. He's not just an albatross around their neck; he's an entire turkey dinner.

(5) N.Y. Jets. The Jets are in a similar situation with their own elephant in the room -- and their own expensive, veteran QB. Aaron Rodgers isn't as cooked as Deshaun Watson. If he wants to return, it makes sense to run it back one more time since they've already doubled and tripled down on a "win now" approach. But if he retires (which is at least 50/50), then the team would jump up the rankings into tier one.

(4) Carolina. Anthony Richardson at least showed some flashes with Indianapolis. Bryce Young has shown nothing at all. I don't see a future for him with this particular team and this particular coaching staff. Would the Panthers go back to the well with a different R1 pick? They may have to. Adding a veteran QB (like a Derek Carr or Sam Darnold) doesn't make much sense since the roster is so far away from contention.

GREEN LIGHT: teams that would sprint their card up to grab a QB

(3) N.Y. Giants. The Giants debated a QB in this past draft, but felt stuck with Daniel Jones for one more year partly due to draft position and partly due to his contract situation. Since then, Jones hasn't shown anything to change his narrative; he's a fairly talented but too-inconsistent QB to trust in the long term. The team has given him 6 years to prove something else and he's failed to do so. It's time for a change.

(2) Tennessee. The Titans didn't give Will Levis 6 years, but giving him 6+ starts felt like an earnest attempt to see if there was something here. There was not.

(1) Las Vegas. The Raiders basically punted on the QB decision this past offseason, rolling with stopgaps like Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell. I don't know if that was particularly fair to coach Antonio Pierce -- he felt doomed from the start. But sure enough, the fait accompli will lead to a blank slate in 2025.

Give me Richardson over any of the QBs in the 2025 Draft

I know he’s looked like dogass this year, but I’d rather trade a 2nd or 3rd for Anthony Richardson and take the lumps with his erratic play than spend a top 10 pick on a QB in this draft. His tools are better than any QB in this class imo and if he was coming out of college now he would be QB1.

I know I am going to get so much pushback because this subreddit weighs positional value way too much in draft rankings. But if I’m like the Browns and I know im probably not going to be drafting in the top 3, I’d much rather take a swing with Richardson and spend my first on filling a team need

Do you think teams are going to be more or less aggressive at QB in the next draft?

Halfway through the season and 3 out of 4 2023 QBs are looking like they are done already.

On the other hand, all 4 2024 QBs are looking promising, through a small sample size

With 2025 seeming like it will have a lot of potential first round QBs, but no sure fire top prospects, how aggressive do you think teams will be?

PFF article on position acquisition/scarcity

I'm needing help finding a PFF article I read awhile back over the offseason where it dived into metrics around how different positions were acquired by their team. I recall it showing a breakdown for the premier players at those positions and if they were traded for, via free agency, or drafted. It basically showed if you wanted a premier WR you were going to need to draft one since none of the primer ones even made it to FA.I believe it also showed that good RBs are mostly acquired via FA, and there was different breakdowns for each position.

I believe it was around positional surplus or something like that. It had some great charts for each position.

QB Stats and Metrics Post-Week 9

Another week of CFB in the books and QB3 of this draft class is wide open. Cade Klubnik is still flying under the radar despite being #4 or 5 in heisman betting odds and he's tied with Cam Ward with 3.4 TDs/game, on a 1 loss Clemson team. Their schedule will ramp up, but I think he has an opportunity to get in the top 3. The production, traits, and potential are all there. Hes got a good big time throw rate, low turnover worthy throw rate, low time to throw, low pressure to sack, solid number under pressure. He checks off a lot of boxes.

-Ward didn't have a big week of production, but Miami easily handled FSU and their run game was dominant. Hes the clear QB1 for me because his traits and upside are far superior to Sanders. Almost all of Ward's metrics look better than Caleb Williams, who had a similar play style and ability,

-Nussmeier had a horrid 2nd half vs Texas A&M, erratic decision making. Some draft analysts had him as high as QB1. I think hes in the mix for QB3, but he needs to show more consistency with his decision making.

-Shedeur Sanders has more INTs than Cam Ward. I don't know the nature off those turnovers and if the receiver created any of them, but I think this deserves a little more attention since Ward is grilled for his risk-taking.

Lets Talk Early 2025 Draft Team Needs, A Tool to help with Mock Drafts

*** Still missing: Colts, Ravens, Dolphins, Eagles, Falcons, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Rams.

Example: Patriots

  • Primary Need: OLine help at all positions, maybe Center lowest priority as our starter is out for the year and backup has been decent. Our RT should be a guard so don't worry about over-drafting OT, we'd be happy Onwenu be forced back to guard. 1st round guard Cole Strange is often injured and nothing special when he isn't.

  • Secondary Need: Defense pretty much everywhere, can improve at all positions, our big contract guys are having run ins with cops or playing poorly under new coach.

  • What Patriots don't need: QB, TE, WR, ST. We found our QB in Drake Maye, TE Hunter Henry is great, and the WR room is full of potential that I believe deserves another year of seasoning and playtime to develop. Demario Douglas and Boutte can be special and we used 2x day 2 picks on WR in 2024 on Baker and Polk. Stop flooding the WR with new guys every year and lets see what we currently have with a better QB throwing to them.

Link is above

  • 1- Travis Hunter (WR/CB)- New England Patriots; gives Drake Maye another weapon on offense to throw to especially if you have Hunter in as a receiver or defensively he would be a running mate to Christian Gonzalez because we would have 2 lock down corner backs...thats how dynamic of a player Hunter is and why I can see my Patriots taking him at #1

  • 2- Cam Ward (QB)- Carolina Panthers; Panthers take another Cam...took Cam Newton years ago...WOAH CAM!!! OH CAMMMMMM!!! Bryce Young era would be over and you can just move on from him but with Ward in the Panthers offense he would actually make them watchable especially if they take a QB but they need to learn from Chicago's mistake by drafting Justin Fields and failing him; then they took Caleb Williams and you see how well they're doing...Panthers need to do that but surround Ward with offensive weapons and a defense to protect him

  • 3- Shedeur Sanders (QB)- Cleveland Browns; Browns move on from Deshaun Watson and take Deion Sanders' son 3rd overall; Shedeur in Cleveland under Stefanski would actually make for a pretty interesting coach/QB dynamic and Shedeur would have a defense in Cleveland plus certain weapons on offense

  • 4- Jalen Milroe (QB)- Tennessee Titans; Will Levis experiment is over as the Titans here in this mock take a QB and take Milroe 4th here with him being the 3rd quarterback taken; dual threat QB who can run and throw

  • 5- Mason Graham (DL)- New York Jets

  • 6- Mykel Williams (EDGE)- New Orleans Saints

  • 7- Kelvin Banks Jr (OT)- Jacksonville Jaguars

  • 8- Quinn Ewers (QB)- Las Vegas Raiders; 4th quarterback off the board already with the Raiders going quarterback and taking Ewers with this pick

  • 9- Carson Beck (QB)- New York Giants; 5th quarterback already in this round off the board as the Giants end the Daniel Jones era at #9 overall

  • 10- Will Campbell (OT)- Miami Dolphins

  • 11- Tetairoa McMillan (WR)- Los Angeles Rams 🐏

  • 12- Cameron Williams (OT)- Arizona Cardinals

  • 13- Abdul Carter (EDGE)- Cincinnati Bengals

  • 14- Will Johnson (CB)- San Francisco 49ers

  • 15- Ashton Jeanty (RB)- Dallas Cowboys; Cowboys get their phenom of this Draft especially at the running back position; this Jeanty is special

  • 16- Luther Burden III (WR)- Denver Broncos; Nix gets his WR1 for the future and his co star in Burden because they would make a pretty interesting QB/WR duo in the Mile High

  • 17- Kenneth Grant (DL)- Atlanta Falcons

  • 18- Nic Scourton (EDGE)- Philadelphia Eagles

  • 19- Malaki Starks (S)- Seattle Seahawks

  • 20- Benjamin Morrison (CB)- Indianapolis Colts

  • 21- Isaiah Bond (WR)- Los Angeles Chargers; gives Herbert another weapon on offense to throw to and the Chargers clearly need more help on that end especially since Mike Williams and Keenan Allen are gone

  • 22- Donovan Ezeiruaku (EDGE)- Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • 23- Tyler Booker (IOL)- Chicago Bears

  • 24- Wyatt Milum (OT)- Baltimore Ravens

  • 25- Jack Sawyer (EDGE)- Buffalo Bills 🐃

  • 26- Aiereontae Ersery (OT)- Washington Commanders

  • 27- Emeka Egbuka (WR)- Pittsburgh Steelers

  • 28- Deone Walker (DL)- Green Bay Packers

  • 29- Walter Nolen (DT)- Houston Texans

  • 30- Shavon Revel Jr (CB)- Minnesota Vikings

  • 31- James Pearce Jr (EDGE)- Detroit Lions 🦁; Lions get the steal of the Draft here

  • 32- Colston Loveland (TE)- Kansas City Chiefs

Hypothetical Prospect, What round would you draft him in?

Let’s say the upcoming draft has this generational prospect declaring:

Position- Kicker and Punter

He is perfect from field goals ranging out to 85 yards, with each kick being right down the heart of the goalposts.

On the off chance he does have to punt, he consistently punts out of bounds and within the 10 yard line.

He scored perfect on the wonderlic, and for some reason recieved a psychological evaluation normally given to CIA agents and scored perfect on that too.

His school suffered a significant amount of special teams injuries, meaning he had to kick with a new holder and long snapper nearly every two weeks.

I’ve tried to describe the perfect kicker in my eyes, one that has the mental fortitude to make the transition to the NFL with the same success he had in college. With that being said, I’d probably draft him 1st overall to my Browns (for his punting ability).

What am I missing with T.J. Sanders (DT, South Carolina)

For the record, I'm a South Carolina fan and I'm not an NFL draft guru/scout - I just enjoy rooting for and watching former Gamecocks do well in the NFL.

But I feel like I'm missing something with Sanders. The 6'4", 290 lbs redshirt junior is being mocked as a fringe first round pick and I don't see why..? I get that stats aren't everything, especially at his position as an interior DLineman, but he really doesn't have a lot of production.

He's recorded 28 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks on the season. For his career he has 87 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks.

South Carolina's DLine is loaded this year, so Sanders being somewhat overshadowed isn't a big deal, but I just don't see him as a first round talent. He reminds me of another former Gamecock in Javon Kinlaw. I never saw first round talent in him, and I hate to see I'm being proven right as time goes on. San Francisco dumped him and he's not playing well for the Jets (at least when I've watched them). Kinlaw had almost the exact same career numbers as Sanders, with 93 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 10.5 sacks. So when Kinlaw went in the first round I was very surprised.

Is it fair to call Sanders just another Kinlaw? What am I missing?
