The Long Beach hip hop duo, consisting of Tray Deee and Goldie Loc, released their debut album on February 1st, 2000, via Dogghouse Records and TVT Records.
Snoop Dogg originally formed a group named 'The Eastsiders' in 1997 with Crooked I and Li'l C-Style and released only the song 'Feels So Good' commercially onto the soundtrack for the 1998 film Ride.
In 2000, Snoop Dogg returned with Tray Deee and Goldie Loc as 'Tha Eastsidaz', possibly requiring the changed name due to contractual obligations from the group's first iteration.
Tha Eastsidaz debuted at number 8 on the US Billboard 200, selling 100,000 copies in its first week, and was certificated Platinum on October 11, 2000.
