"The best thing is to always keep honest people around, because when you have a bunch of yes men around that know that you're making a mistake but let you go on with it, that's when it ruins your mind state as an artist." ~ Kendrick Lamar

Why does Kendrick say he’s not on the inside looking out, but he’s in the dead fucking center looking around, even though it means the exact same thing? Is he stupid?
Yall remember when Kendrick dropped the "squabble up" music video and he was reading this book?? https://youtu.be/fuV4yQWdn_4?si=pJ4ofIw1T-FWIOvS&t=57
I BROUGHT IT TO LIFE!! honestly just thought it was crazy that he put that in there and it would've been crazier if it was real. started off as just a Christmas present to some friends but they said the world would love it so here it is...

Hey guys. Like the title says, I’m autistic and semi recently started listening to Kendrick Lamar. The new album has basically been on repeat for me since it came out. Lol. My fiancee and I are also going to the show in LA on May 21st, so I wanna know what your guys’ favorites are and your suggestions. I’m gonna take a look at the whole library obviously, but I wanna know where to get started. And for any other autistic listeners, are there any songs that come to mind that tickle that part of your brain? What’s your experience with his music? I’ll also take suggestions on other rappers that make you feel that way. Lol
Also, it’s our first time going to a rap show and I wanted to know if anyone had any tips on how to make the best of our time and really enjoy ourselves? I’m gonna be honest, I’m a nerdy, autistic white boy, and I’m scared of sticking out and people judging me, ya know? But I know this is a once in a lifetime experience and I wanna try to fight myself and really try to be comfortable being myself.
Thanks for the help, and I’m sorry if I rambled. My brain is fried rn. Lol.
Theres loads of them on YouTube and most of them seem to be great, where are these actually coming from though?

Disclaimer: there’s not much footage of Kendrick in this except for a quick shot here and there (and of Dave). He is mentioned quite a bit though.
But it’s really interesting to see it all come together, to see all the different departments involved and how every second counts!
I guess this show was quite unique given there were 6 performers so there was likely more pressure than usual. I like how they explained the contingency in the event there’s a sound or power issue on the day. Fingers crossed it all goes well for Kendrick, I’m sooo excited for his performance!
I'm manifesting this right now. Join me
Some people are taking Kendrick’s message too literally, acting like he is saying he will either personally cut people off forever or go around handing out punishments himself. That is not what Watch the Party Die is about. The song is not about exiling individuals or acting as a judge over the industry. It is about removing influence from destructive forces and shifting the culture toward something better.
When he says:
We even kill the killers ‘cause they like taking innocent lives
Street niggas and the corporate guys, the rappers that report the lies, I need they families mortified
He is not saying he has the power to remove these people himself. He is talking about ending the cycle of glorifying the same toxic forces over and over again. Kendrick knows he cannot control the entire industry, but he can control what he builds and what messages he pushes forward.
People expect Kendrick to publicly condemn individuals or cut people off entirely, but that is not how he approaches change. When he left TDE, made a statement saying:
“While the world around me evolves, I reflect on what matters the most. The life in which my words will land next.”
That tells you everything about how he moves. He is not here to police the industry or waste time fighting battles that do not lead anywhere. Instead, he is choosing to create something new with pgLang. His focus is on pushing forward the right influences, not just tearing down the bad ones.
Some people argue that working with someone is still giving them a platform, but that ignores the difference between a feature and actively investing in someone.
If you really understand Kendrick’s message, you know that he is not pretending to be a moral authority over the industry. Watch the Party Die is about shifting the focus and taking away power from what holds the culture back. Instead of waiting for the industry to fix itself, he is moving forward and building his own space.
I'm acc crying, tears streaming because of this song Just back from a big social event and this is acc the perfect getting home song
Superbowl turned funeral
It is getting broadcast on Fox. And with the FCC getting gutted too there won’t even be fines. Is this the enlightenment
I dint know who she is but I appreciate her appearance in the Squabble Up video
Obviously with different lyrics, but I truly believe this beat and Kendrick's cadence/ tone were intended for a more sinister purpose, not the album
That beat is easily top 5 in Kendrick's discog but its like he held back wayyy too much, which is very unusual
It’s incredible how GKMC are still streaming more that most rappers debut Albums, I know sales don tell the whole story but is nothing less than amazing specially GKMC that was released 10+ ago
