I think is a great album, but I understand all the hate, because sometimes is a simple album in comparation of others like "Plastic Beach" or ""Song Machine"

This is my favourite gorillaz song - plus it sounds like 2015 onwards Tame Impala (mainly the second part with Little Dragon's vocals) while being from 2010 when Tame Impala still made psychedelic rock. It was very fitting because at All Points East in 2022 they played this song JUST before the debut of New Gold. Such a beautiful track man.

Okay I shouldn't be as upset as I am but. I'm working on a Gorillaz lore video and therefore I have done A LOT of research on all of the characters. Like very very in depth research. And I am also a HUGE supporter of all music. I believe music helps people and it's an extremely powerful thing that says stuff about who you are as a person, and while researching I've listened to a lot of the Gorillaz radio shows. I'm talking Pirate Radio, XFM The Residency, Iceburg Radio, Reprezent, Gorillaz Are Ten, Gorillaz Mix Series, etc etc. And the G Mixes, the new ones that just came out in January I do believe........... It's not them. Now, there are sprinkles of their original taste in there, like Talking Heads. But specifically Murdoc and 2-D; Their G Mixes besides like two or three songs just don't sound like shit they would listen to. And this will bring up the "I miss the old Gorillaz" crowd, which I and many others are a part of. But this is less just about the story and more about the characters and their personalities. I saw another person on here talking about how they're turning 2-D into a toddler, and I agree. I also thing that it's GREAT Murdoc isn't AS terrible of a person anymore, of course. But I feel like he would shit on Indie Rock so hard. Yet here it is on the playlist designated for him. I want shit like Treat Me Like Your Mother, Chick Habit, Sail On Sailor, I Wanna Marry a Lighthouse Keeper! The Song Machine Radio shows were great! The tracks fit! So what happened? I'm not as angry about 2-D's playlist because he's strange and I feel like he could listen to just about anything and get away with it. But Murdoc is different. Idk if any of that was something yall relate to- Anyways

TLDR : I'm upset with the recent G Mixes not sounding like things the characters would listen to (Mostly Murdoc's) and ranting about it

Struggling with some anxiety that decided to collect early this month. Somedays I wonder what in the actual fuck is the point. But between my son and the love we both got for gorillaz, I can’t help but feel okay underneath it all. It’s hard right? But holy shit Damon really do be blessing us. That being said, they would’ve been perfect for lolla! And with so much material over the last few years, feels like we’re being robbed. What do yall think?

This might be a stupid question so I apologize if is it but phase 3 left me so confused. I know Damon and Jamie had big plans for the ending of phase 3 that sadly will never get to see the light of day, so they came up with a quick ending that left many of us confused and questions that haven’t been fully answered. So how do you think phase 3 ended?

I saw them on their Song Machine Tour and the live version of Green World is EPIC, much more dramatic than the studio version. I'd love a record with the live version.

No seriously, why does everyone shit on the album in like most of the rankings I’ve seen on here, have yall actually given a full listen to any of the songs???? It’s literally self titled but in its own reggae style, how could you not be absolutely vibing with the entire album, I have no answer for you but one for me, the entire album slaps too hard for it to be hella disrespected like it’s been.
