I listened for 1,960 minutes in 2024. What about you? #SpotifyWrapped https://open.spotify.com/wrapped/share/share-37ef7f79255e498d8a5732feab42f577?si=sGH8X6BtR0iETnep8bdHMw&destination=datastories&lang=en&pi=NmxggXu2R5Sa
The vocal trinity is Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. They are known as the vocal trinity not only because of their insane vocal abilities but their large impact on music as a whole. What three males would you consider the male vocal trinity based on this definition?
I recently came across this artist called amaria & this track specifically is amazinggggg 😩😩
These songs are amazing if you haven’t heard them
I was listening to some RnB late at night, and when I listen to one artist I end up in an endless spiral of listening to songs, just to be distracted by how good the feature artist on the song is, falling into a nostalgic trance, re-listening to the song, to the feature artist, and repeat.
At this time I was listening to Summer Walker, Brent Faiyaz, Bryson Tiller, SZA.., to name a few. Starting with their oldest album chronologically, ending with their latest album, something struck me. And before anyone says this is common, I do believe this has been a common understanding in regards to a “change in sound”.
When I listen to an RnB artists early music, there is this rawness, feel of fresh air and overall “warmth” that creates a connection between the song and myself. Brings me closer to a song. Makes an artist feel familiar. My problem is I see how this feeling is lost with a relative correlation with the amount of popularity an artist gains. Artists that once made songs that gave me that “warm” feeling, release albums that, although still sounding amazing, feel more streamlined and less raw.
Now development is key, change is necessary, of course. And this change doesn’t make them any less of great artists they are or make me like them less. But it is just an observation I noticed a bit more than usual today.
So I had a few questions and opinions and just wanted to see other peoples opinions.
I believe Rihanna’s albums all feel raw to me and don’t see to have lost that feeling, even up to ANTI. 4. Any of the albums which you feel have less of that raw feeling but have 1 or 2 songs which still give that feeling. In SZA’s SOS album, the last song, Forgiveless, gives me that feeling.
Thanks for reading and commenting if you do!
This song is absolutely beautiful.
Where are my fellow Nippians :pp
Hello All, I'm making a male falsetto R&B and Soul playlists of artist from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Hits, deep, and rare cuts. To start I have The Stylistics, The Delfonics, Switch, Debarge, The Moments, Eddie Holman, El Debarge, Blue Magic and others. Can any of you name some other male artists and groups who sang predominately or on some songs using falsetto? Putting them all on one playlist I can just let shuffle. I'd greatly appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank you in advance!
It's the scene where Jorge first meets Chris in docs store and is playing asteroids against him
The lyrics I found were
"Man on a mission , diagnosing the story like a mental condition, everybody wants a piece of pie, living the life or is it living a lie? Got your eyes on the prize"
It's from season 1 episode 15 "everybody hates the lottery" around 8 minutes and 20 seconds into the episode
I need some Rnb/pop recommendations that have rock and electric guitar influence. Similar to Rihanna’s rockstar 101.
For more context I own a shoe company and want to make a cool concept video/Advertisement for a new latex shoe that’s coming out. I was something that can embody that rock feel without wanting to use a rock song. I can’t use Rihanna’s music on social media as it gets taken down for copyright. Also open to rap or hiphop suggestions too.
Where does Trevor fall in the RnB world? Is he underrated or misrepresented? Does he have any hits?
