Ever since I got sober, "I was drowning, now I'm swimming" literally swims circles around my head, like a mantra for my sobriety.
I'm aware the context in the Come Back to Earth is about escapism through intoxication, so it's an interesting juxtaposition.

i love macadelic. one of my favorite albums ever. specifically the trippy songs like 1 threw 8, the question, clarity, fuck em all.
what album should i listen to next. swimming is the only album that comes close to macadelic. but im wondering if theres more im missing. im a new mac fan so i havent heard any unrelated or any of his singles.

Grandpa used to carry a flask/The star room
anyone ever notice “GUTCAF” transitions into The star room ? i’ve never been able to confirm this but they were made around the same time. i believe mac made “Delusional Thomas” right after “Watching movies with the sound off”, and mac being the creative mind he is, i believe he made these 2 song’s transitions into eachother. the static in the beginning of the star room is how gutcaf ends, both mac and “delusional thomas” are on that song, as well as the star room (delusional thomas’s opening lines on the star room) we here that lower quality voice DT has, and then mac comes in with ‘“but me” i’m still trapped inside my head’
this might be a bit of a stretch but know how talented and creative mac was, i personally believe this was all methodically planned out. reason #4,000 no one will ever top mac. let me know what you think.
