hi there!! sorry to make ANOTHER "please give me recs" post but i've been streaming lithonia on repeat the past few days and i was wondering if anybody can give me other childish gambino songs that sound similar? according to some posts on here, lithonia seems to be a bit of an outlier in his catalog in terms of the rock quality, and while i really appreciate the rock aspect because i tend to listen to rock/alt/etc, i also really love his vocals on lithonia, so are there any other songs of his that really feature his voice like this? the way he sings "i've been gone so long" sratches an itch in my brain so well

if you have any other music recs based on lithonia outside of childish gambino, they are also welcome!! i am pretty familiar with the pop rock/punk/alt scene but am glad to hear more recs :)

For context in an interview during the BTI era Gambino said that he is the son of Kanye and he said that there will be a son of Gambino. I think Tyler is it, they’re so similar but as Gambino is leaving Tyler is thriving so he can go even more places where Gambino didn’t. They just have such a similar mindset.

I enjoy every view point.

For me the Songs algorhythm and human sacrifice (used to be known as Spirit) did that back when it was only played live. It really felt New and spoke to me.

Also warlords and Last did that to me. The second you start the song you are gone. Focused on the music, instantly forgetting my name, losing myself.

Of course there is more but they stick out.

i had the strange urge to listen to psilocybae and as soon as his vocals hit it sounded like it had more reverb then usual like i noticed instantly and throughout the song some things sound different now i dont know if i just didnt catch it before or if im too used to 12.38 but i feel like he changed it again
