This Drake v. Kendrick (plus everyone else) beef had me thinking about other infamous rap beefs. It got me wondering, which rapper has had the most beefs, as in feuds with multiple different artists over time?
I was thinking the answer is probably objectively 50 Cent, but what's yall's thoughts?
Sp apparently Kendrick got his info (about Drake's supposed daughter) from a mole...a mole that Drake sent to feed Kendrick false info.
None of this is confirmed but if it's true that Drake played 4D chess by feeding Kendrick false info indirectly, this will make Kendrick look STUPID, cause bro asked for the smoke.
No way anyone will be saying that unironically from now on
I've noticed that people will often invoke "expert" opinions from rappers in an attempt to validate their own opinions and arguments when discussing which artists are the best at something.
An aging legend like Big Daddy Kane thinks Busta Rhymes has the greatest flow of all time.
Ludacris crowned André 3000 as having the best flow in rap.
Black Thought thinks Kool G Rap is the greatest rapper of all time.
Kool Moe Dee thinks Melle Mel is the best rapper of all time (the old school favoritism expressed here is palpable)
Rakim once said that if Eminem were black, he'd be the next Muhammad Ali.
Kurupt thinks Rakim is the best emcee of all time.
Nas once said that he "feared" Big L as a rapper (then "post-mortem internet eulogized fame" happened and Big L suddenly appeared in people's top 10s).
Lupe Fiasco thinks that Aesop Rock is the greatest of all time, whereas R.A.P. Ferreira thinks Busdriver is the best to ever do it. And so on.
Rappers, like anyone else, certainly aren't immune to having blind-spots, but how much weight do their opinions hold compared to, say, hip-hop fans that also actively have their fingers on the pulse of the genre?
Is this the same crisis management team that worked to cover up Kendrick Lamar's domestic violence?
Fathered you

Link to Alchemist's tweet, confirming he produced "Meet The Grahams"
Obviously Kendrick would've delivered this ether, regardless of the beat, but I want to give some flowers to Alchemist too. Not only did the beat compliment Kendrick's vocals, but (to me) it really felt like he was setting the scene for Kendrick to deliver the action/punch lines. It's a grimy beat, followed with grimy lyrics, and makes for one hell of a diss track.
Maybe i'm glazing, as I just got put on Alchemist work not too long ago, but I really enjoy this beat & his work.
