Like the title says, I'm a paraplegic that can't get out into the woods like I used to and need a mushroom hunter to help me forage areas I can't reach. I'm dying to have some chicken of the woods but so far this year I haven't been able to get to any or find any for sale at farmers markets. If anyone can help me I would be super grateful!

I’ve only gotten one other ticket back in 2016 it was in Virginia. On may 5th state trooper got me on 485 as I was speeding up to merge and get off my exit.. 89 in a 65. The ticket says charged with reckless driving. How likely is jail time? Anyone been here before or can help advice anything. I’m freaking out.

Hi everybody, shot in the dark here, but my husband and I have to be out of town from June 12 - 22, and we are unfortunately unable to take our pets with us. We had a dog sitter, but due to circumstances on their side, we are now looking for a new sitter for our dog and cat.

Both are senior age, and we would prefer to have someone spend the night with them, take them out a few times during the day, and feed them. Our cat is pretty chill and just wants attention, and our dog was an adoption from the humane society, so she has her quirks. She requires introductions to new people in her space in order to get used to the person as she's a fairly anxious dog and can be reactive because of that. She is also a larger dog, so we'd need someone who is used to that as well.

If anyone knows someone/a company that we could possibly use, it would be greatly appreciated!

Duke energy was suppose to turn our service back on yesterday between 3 pm and midnight. It was a scheduled drop in service for some electrical work. No one ever showed up to turn it back on and now we cannot get a hold of anyone at Duke for the weekend. The automated message just says we have an appointment scheduled to start service for Wednesday. The last person we spoke to ensured us our service was assigned to a technician but could not give any clarity on what time the work might be completed, but it should have been completed some time last night.

Is there a way to get in contact with Duke to get our power back on?

Anybody taken their car to one of the car washes you see on WT Harris? Specifically the ones that appear on the weekends in the various parking lots? Trying to get a solid clean done without going to sub par AutoBell.

I sang in various choirs in high school, 20+ years ago. I'm looking for a teacher to help me get back into it, and for any recommendations on choirs to audition for. I'd prefer the choir be at least sort of non-denominational, as I am not religious myself.

Its officially been a year since i moved to the city and its still hard for me to make friends who arent co-workers or friends who dont flake out on events.

So i decided to possibly do a music/vinyl record group where folks can bring in their records (location TBD), we sit around, fuck around and talk about music and life.

Maybe theres a couple groups floating around out there but its hard to find them, any thoughts?

We were hanging outside at Moo & Brew and heard fireworks for a good 5 mins nearby. Started around 9:35ish. Anyone know the purpose? Like why 5/17? Sounded like they were coming from the Uptown direction, but the echo on the surrounding buildings was throwing us off.

Has anyone else gotten totally screwed over by the Aspen dental in Northlake? My wife went there for a while. At one point their "system went down". It was down for over a month. They would not answer calls or call back during this time. Finally we got in touch with someone over there. They had lost all her account info. They then over charged our insurance for some work she had done. To make up for all this, they did some work free. Now, months later we get a collections notice for 400 something dollars they charged her and never told her about.
