Wanted to share a board game meetup that's happening tonight at common market. This isn't specific to this sub or reddit, but it's run on meetup.com so you may run into redditors there but mostly meetup folks, all good people. I went last month and had a good time.

Looking for recommendations for places to move in the area, I'm not from here but am moving soon for my job! Any info on where to live helps :)

My daughter is looking for a job but at most places the requirement is 16. Are there any places at are hiring currently where she could work?

I moved here from out of state several months ago and checked the "update voter registration" box when transferring my driver's license to SC at the Rock Hill DMV. When I checked my registration status this week, I wasn't showing up here.

Long story short, if it looks like the DMV didn't update your registration when they were supposed to, call the York County Voter and Elections board at 803-684-1242. Explain to them your situation, they'll double check with the DMV and back date your registration to when it was supposed to have been updated after you fill out a new online registration form.

Support worker

Just moved to the area from NY. I have years of experience working with developmentally disabled adults in the community. Anyone know an agency to contact about becoming a support worker for adults with disabilities? Not sure how the services differ in the south from NY. Thank you :)

I play guitar and moved here not too long ago , I used to jam with my buddies every now and then & it’s some I truly miss this element in my life. Hey! I’m looking for a place to get affordable aluminum fencing. I was just quoted 7,800 for 5ft tall aluminum fencing in a 60x50ft backyard from Home Depot. Is this a normal quote? This seems kind of steep IMO. like the backyard is really tiny…

Hi there! My fiancé and I are staying with a cousin in Rock Hill while we wait for Milton to pass over our home. What are some fun things we can do up here to distract ourselves? My cousin has preteens so her suggestions were mostly kid friendly stuff (which we love that too)! But what about any coffee shops, kava bars, landmarks, downtown areas, hiking trails, unique to the area things should we do until Friday afternoon? Open to driving an hour in any direction. Random post, but does anyone here - probably in their late 30s or 40s - remember this guy? I think his name was Bear or something. He always had a black wrist brace and had an amazing walking staff that he carved himself with like animals and stuff on it. If I recall correctly, he was a substitute teacher and/or did a lot of volunteering in educational settings including down at Landsford Canal State Park or the Museum of York Co. Kinda heavyset, dark greying hair, and glasses if I remember right. Haven't seen him since I was a kid, maybe 20+ years ago.

Be cool if anyone else here knows who I'm talking about and maybe has an update on the man. He liked telling stories to amuse us kids.

Long shot here considering the deeply imbedded religious culture in town. 

I saw a previous post for recommendations for a church & it sparked my interest to ask, does this town have any non religious oriented family friendly communities or organizations. My wife and I are both agnostic and are not susceptible to subscribing to organized religions but I am curious to does such a thing even exist?

I just moved to Rock Hill this past Summer and am hoping to find a church community. We are protestant, but also enjoy really enjoy learning about the Old Testament. The main thing I am looking for is a church that is family friendly towards children.

Are there any places to rent bicycles in Rock Hill for a few days? I'll be staying close to WU.

I had read that NC had done an "audit" on their voters. (My guess is to make sure neither side could claim fraud) and cleaned up 747K "ineligible" voters. So on a whim, I decided to check my status on the SC voters lookup, and oddly they didn't find a record for me. I've been voting for 30yrs.
