Hello I am planning on transferring to central piedmont from my current community college in June I am looking for someone to give me a tour of the city and also a roommate.
Seriously...why does CPCC has such bad system glitch?? I just recently got my residency status updated and guess what, they haven't been able to update it in college system because system is down or something🤦♀️ I've attended college before and NEVER had any issues when it came to administration stuff like this......this been going on for a week....who's in the same boat!?
There’s no coming back for one of my classes do I just continue next semester and focus on my new classes
Does cp add more classes if enough people are on the waitlist?
has anyone taken COM 110 and HIS 131 during the four week term in the summer online? What are the assignments like?
I'll be a visiting student and I'm just trying to get electives done to transfer to my full-time uni
I’m working on a recommendation report for the city of Charlotte (+ for a class lol) to help improve the CATS bus system in Charlotte. I made an ANONYMOUS survey to see what are the main issues with the current bus system (feel free to answer whether you take the bus or not), any input is appreciated!
[Link to Anonymous 5-min Survey]
Feel free to share the survey with others, or comment with your thoughts. I’m also doing a research paper for class, so I’ll take any and all feedback.
Thanks in advance for helping make Charlotte’s bus system better for everyone!
Why should you fill this out (pls)?
Whether you take the bus regularly, occasionally, or never, your feedback is important. This survey will help identify the main issues with the current bus system and provide insights into what changes would make it more efficient, accessible, and user-friendly for everyone.
Thanks for your time and help in making Charlotte’s public transport better for everyone!
I’m currently taking an online math class with Instructor Wright. I am through the first 14 weeks, and just missed an attendance assignment for the first and only time. She does say in the syllabus that not completing an attendance assignment means you are out of the course, but then right below it says the school’s attendance policy is no more than two missed classes, which I think in my case is the weekly assignment to prove I’m still doing the class.
I emailed the instructor, she is out of the office until next week and other than saying she didn’t think I would be automatically kicked out of the class, my advisor couldn’t help. I still have access to the coursework and am still turning in things. What is the probability of me actually being kicked out of this class in the last two weeks over missing a three question assignment about the syllabus? Would I be able to appeal this if it were to happen? I will likely be done with the entire course by the time the instructor returns from break and sees I missed my assignment. The class is done in tiers, does anyone know if the entire tiers of work I’ve completed before this assignment was released would still be valid?
A lot of questions, thank you for any answers. I just don’t want to kill myself over Thanksgiving break to get all of this work done and then find out none of it can be counted.
Is there any metalheads, goths or just alternative people at central campus? Finding friends is hard LOL I am down there pretty often dm me and I will give my IG I NEED FRIENDS PLSSS…
hi i was wondering if anyone knew what day the health sciences programs start for spring 2025 , on the old application for my program it was stated january 7th but on the cpcc calendar it says classes start january 13th. not sure if it differs program to program, but i’m specifically referring to OTA program if that makes a difference.

Hello, I'm posting this since I always want to see other students experiences with classes.
Geo 110 is VERY textbook heavy, but if you study the textbook, read the study guides, and make note of the important terms you'll be fine. As I remember, the course consists of chapter readings, a weekly quiz, a midterm, and a final quiz. I'll emphasize though, heavy reading, so be prepared for it. I had Professor Rodney Jackson. I had a great experience with them. They responded to emails in a very timely manner.
Hey, health and wellness is fairly easy if you read the textbook. As I remember, we had to do smartbooks, quizzes, and a few major assignments. My tip is read that textbook. You read it and study it and you will pass the quizzes. I had Dr. Karla Jones for this class. She is extremely fair, they responded to emails and had genuine concern for their students. Reasonably timed grading as well. Also, the assignments are easy so don't worry about them. You basically fill in your own data. You do the work and you'll get the grade you deserve.
Has anybody heard back from their health science application 😿😿 i applied for surgical technology and im worried because i haven’t received any updates and its almost december..
During this second short period as a Dual Enrollment Student, My mom began to work OT leaving me to deal with my siblings near all the time, and the even more devastatingly I gotten my car stolen so I couldn’t go to the library with fast internet.
I’m trying to informal withdraw because it’s past the initial withdrawal date but my professor doesn’t want to. Is there anything K could do. I wanted to just fail and suppress with the 4 week Statistical Methods I class but all 3 classes are full and I can’t find a waitlist.
Is there anything I can do?
Okay so I have a few things in the Central Piedmont bookstore cart and wanted to know what happens if I do not use the financial aid before the end of my term? It said to enter my student id to see if I had aid to cover it and it said I do but if I do not use the financial aid that I have remaining what happens to it? I received my refund yesterday but I still have about 2.8 in financial aid.
Hey all
If anyone has this class would they be willing to allow me to switch, I really need it for this semester before January. I may be willing to compensate depending on the circumstances.
Hi guys,

Just curious how many students use ratemyprofessors.com, when registering for classes? Do you use rmp to rate your instructors, good and/or bad? If you use it when registering for classes, do you wait until instructors are assigned to the classes? I was curious because none of my '25 spring or summer classes have instructors assigned to them yet, and I noticed that many of the classes had very few people enrolled in them so far.
Hey all,
I found the most convenient 4-week-long statistics class with professor d. pounds. anyone know anything about how its possible for the class to be this short? Im expecting lots of work, but fitting it all in one month seems crazy. Has anyone taken this section before... better yet, has anyone had this professor?
Thanks all!
Just got three emails in rapid succession on my school email about bomb threats and a situation at harper campus. Anybody know what's up?
Hi,
I am taking COM 231 Winter Class, Professor Nathan Pope. How is the workload and assignments? What type of public speaking will I need to do? How difficult is his class?
Planning to take medical terminology class, so I wanted to know if anyone knows if the final exam is proctored and how so?
For all the students who got accepted into the hygiene program so far what was your overall score that got you into the program?
I’m planning to apply this upcoming fall as a previous graduate from the DA program but also heard they made a few changes in the application.
im thinking about completing a certificate instead of the full associates for Advertising & Graphic Design, does anyone know if we still go to graduation for it or if we can sign up to walk the stage?
I am attending the Spring semester at CPCC and I'm looking to take a required natural science course. I have an interest in astronomy so I think I'd like to take it but I am not sure about which one. Is AST 111 easier and just a general description while AST 151 is more concept heavy?
Has anyone taken calculus or Math 172? If so, how hard was it? Did you have study 24/7 ?
Hello, I was just accepted to CPCC last week and have been going through all the online setup things. I don't know why, but they listed my career goal as something different than I wrote down inittially and they won't let me register for classes anyway becuause I haven't met with an advisor yet. They told me to look into one of the online accounts to see who my advisor is but there is no one listed where they told me to look (myconnect listed on the left of the page).
So my question is, do I keep waiting to be assigned one or should I reach out to the advising or navigating email? I know it's the weekend and nothing's gonna be done soon, but I don't want to miss my registration for Spring 2025. Engineering classes and their requisites are super full already.
