I am pretty new to Charlotte and still trying to form meaningful connections and find community. I am a big classic film buff and would love to find like minded individuals to enjoy and chat about our love of classic film.
I directed this my senior year of college! Looking forward to working on more films. So much I’d do differently but it was a great learning experience.

Hey everyone, I have opened up an indiegogo campaign for a new horror movie! Here's a small summary "8 years ago, a video recorded by a now popular influencer helped solve a murder case that took place within his neighborhood. After hearing rumors of the victims spirit wandering his previous residence, he plans to frequent his old home in hopes of seeking answers from this spirit to revive his declining channel. Along with his friends, they wander his old home to capture footage of the spirit. However, things take a turn when they unexpectedly run into the spirit of someone from their past."
Ik it sounds a little generic but the characters are what make it special. This will be my second short film and I am looking to raise some money for it, due to it being a much bigger project than usual! I'd love if anyone could spread the word or even donate! Everyone here probably knows every cent counts. Thank you so much for your time and if you're interested in checking out more go to @dis_connected official on Instagram! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/disconnected-a-horror-film/x/24361807

Who is out there?
CALLING ALL 80s HORROR/ METAL FANS!!
I'm producing a photography project that's a homage to the B-Horror Movies of the 80s called, LEATHER TEETH - filled to the brim with all the glittery, neon cheesiness that decade had to offer!
This is a tribute to the artist CARPENTER BRUT's latest project: a Three-Part Album that serves as the soundtrack to a movie that doesn't exists! We are putting the visuals to the story the music tells!
I'm looking for some folks interested in playing high schoolers/ victims for the school/ night scenes and Metal-head fans, here in the Charlotte, NC area. Only needing 15 people or so,
The shooting dates are the 22nd and 23rd of this month.
If you are interested or know anyone who might be interested, please DM me!
Thanks!

Sorry if this has been posted here before, but I'm just trying to figure this out. Last year I made three short films that I'm proud of and one that was thrown together (not to mention two that have been in post production limbo and one I'm currently filming). I posted them on YouTube, got them on IMDB, put them on my website, made trailers that I used to advertise them on Instagram, posted on reddit, and submitted them to film festivals. Is there anything else I can be/should be doing to get my stuff out there? Tips on distribution and marketing and whatever else I should be doing after finishing the movies. Really any and all feedback would be great.
Can someone explain to me why it’s so hard to edit a good video thank you this has been my tedtalk
Hey, guys.
Boyfriend's company (automotive mod company) is relocating from Orange County CA to Charlotte NC next month. We just visited the area, and locked down our housing this week. I wanted to ask for some advice.
I have a BA in Radio-TV-Film, a few internships in production companies in LA, and some on-set experience as a PA, script supervisor and marketing coordinator on small projects. Most recently, I've fallen into some advertising/marketing work (copywriter, content producer) but I'd like to find more production work in the future.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as job boards or social accounts to follow? Or any advice really. Thanks in advance.
I'm currently casting for a short film shooting next month. I have two roles left to fill for one dya of shooting in Blacksburg, SC.
Ava's Last Ride
An old man kidnaps a bitcoin millionaire, desperate to fund the repair of the ferris wheel on which he and his wife shared their first kiss, as he slowly slips into dementia.
Premise
Henry, an 82 year old man slipping into dementia wishes only to fulfill a promise he made to his wife, Ava — to take her back to the ferris wheel on which they shared their first kiss. As Henry attempts to extort an alleged Bitcoin millionaire in hopes of funding the $40,000 repair of their beloved wheel before it's too late, we learn bits and pieces about his questionable past as he loses bits and pieces of his questionable present.
Casting for Two Roles:
Ava (16-21) CAUCASIAN, sweet, precocious and sorta deviant. In the opening flashback she convinces Henry it will be fun to rob a Pawn Shop. She's incredibly loyal and there's absolute chemistry between her and Henry. They share a passionate kiss in the final scene.
Young Henry (16-21) CAUCASIAN, naive, impressionable and sincere. He adores Ava from the jump — enough to follow her criminal lead.
Additional Info
Shooting April 22/23 in Blacksburg, SC.
Will require a self-tape audition.
Union / Non-union / Non-actors / All welcome to audition.
Pays $75 for the day

Hello.
I am a high school student/aspiring filmmaker in Charlotte, and I was just wondering if anyone was in this sub? It seems a bit inactive, and I just wanted to say hello, hopefully pick things up.
Thanks!
