I have been hearing gun shots close to the Mooresville Intermediate School on Coddle Creek Highway for the past several months. Someone seems to be shooting in the afternoon to late evening. Maybe someone is having target practice in the new development across the street from the school? Is it allowed and/or legal to shoot a gun across no the street or next door to a School? And am I allowed to shoot my guns on my property? One neighbor said it’s not allowed that close to a school. I do appreciate my freedom and firearms and would like to target practice on my property. What are the laws and rules and regulations?
I live in the 28115 area, close to Mooresville Middle School. I'd like to join a gym for strength training after losing over 50 pounds ( I should have been doing this *during* my weight loss journey). Which gyms do you recommend that are close by..... so I won't have an excuse not to go!
Hello, I’m from out of town. This morning there was a child that was hit at the bus stop on W. Plaza Dr. in Mooresville. I arrived on the scene after it happened. if someone knows of a new story, can you please share it? I’d like to know how the child is doing. Thanks.
I’ve been wanting to try to go somewhere fun as a date instead of going out to eat but don’t got any ideas. does anyone know any ?
DON’T USE THE EMERGENCY LANE AS YOUR OWN VIP LANE.
I don’t know why this is something I even feel like I need to say. The entitlement is so strong today. The amount of people that use the emergency lane miles back from an exit is dangerous and I hope you all get tickets.
It’s an emergency lane for emergency vehicle access. When you back the emergency lane up for a mile, you’re preventing potentially life-saving services from reaching the folks that need them.
Shame folks that you know that do this. It’s illegal and a litmus test for if you’re a crappy person or not.
I’m a student at CCTL selling homemade dog treats to raise money for my grad project! If that interests you, please come support me! I’ll be here until 1:30-2:00. Or if you want to donate and support, dm me!
Does anyone know of a place to do a nightly jack-o’-lantern walk through. I found one in SC looking for that around here / Charlotte
Sunday from 12-5 is Crazy Cool Collectibles’ THC RAVE! (Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas Really Awesome Vendor Event). It’s a free event with over 50 vendors, food trucks, live band, a mobile rage room, and more!
348 North Main Street Mooresville, NC 28115
It’s a great opportunity to shop with some local vendors that don’t have brick-and-mortar storefronts! If you like to shop small and shop local for holiday gifts, this will be a great event for you!
Parking is next door door at Bank of America, across the street behind Fifth Third Bank, or anywhere downtown.
Note: I am not affiliated with the store or the event. But, the store owner is a friend and I have friends that are setting up booths there and I’m posting to help them get exposure.
The town put speed bumps on my street and stopsigns without soliciting homeowners. I now cannot park on the side of my own home, have to listen to constant breaking and my property value is going to drop $5-$10k.
I've noticed a lot of safety shifts in town going in recently, have other homeowners undergone similar issues?
This seems extremely irresponsible of the town to do this without notifying local homeowners on the street. I will do anything I can to prevent the re-election of the individuals in charge of these projects.
If you're on well water in Mooresville, these guys are local and do great work. Lake Norman Plumber on Call got our well up and running with a whole home water filtration system to filter all the possible contaminants out. They even have an instant water tester to ensure your water is clean. Below is their contact information, and they have a great knowledge of all the products available to make your home's water clean and safe.

Is there a site that has a good list of upcoming events / activities around town. Trying to plan some good date ideas. I tried searching for groups on facebook but was unable to find anything
I’m looking for a good and affordable vet hospital, specifically one that has cheaper cytopoint and librella injections.

Anyone recommend any other internet service provider other an Spectrum? Someone who is mostly reliable and has minimum outages?
We got here yesterday from Asheville to stay with family until water and internet get restored. We have a 3 & 4 y/o and we need some kid-free time to catch up on work, but the one place we knew of is no longer open. It was next to Little Caesars, near Value Village. Are there any other places in nearby towns which are offering drop-in daycare?
Probably won’t see this, but you gave me $40 as I was loading my car up with water and baby formula to take back home to Asheville. Thank you. Some asshole at the gas station 10 minutes before took a video of me saying “they’re buying up all the gas”, so you quickly restored my faith in people.
And if the guy taking the video sees this, get off your ass and come help. People have no water, and can’t leave because there’s no gas.
Hi Friends,
Ever since moving from the Northeast, I’ve had a tough time finding a deli that nails the classics—bacon, egg, and cheese (maybe even steak, E, & C with a bit of hot sauce and hash browns or potato cones) on a Kaiser roll, chicken cutlet sandwiches, Italians, eggplant parm, or roast beef. Some places have these, but I’m looking for the best. It seems like a lot of delis here use ‘fancier’ bread to be a bit more “Italian,” but all I want is a solid Kaiser roll or wedge. Are there any hidden gems around here?
Ferrucci’s in Cornelius is good, but the bread holds them back.
I swear I’m not trying to be a pro-North snob; I just really want the best I can find! Lunch used to be a no-brainer for me anywhere I went. It seems the best I can do now is Jersey Mike’s.
TL;DR: I’m looking for the best deli around here that serves classics on great bread.
What are the best wings in town?
My husband and I are hoping to relocate to northern Charlotte in the next few months. I did previously live in Concord (near the SuperTarget) for about a year before moving out of state, and liked that area, though I wish we were a little closer to some things that were only on the 77 side of CLT (ex. Costco). Some of his family has lived in CLT on the south side for a long time, so he's more familiar with the south side of town, but not so much the north. We've decided at this point, with what we know from my previous time on the 85 side of town and where our friends/family in the area are, we'd prefer to be on the 77 side of town, and are primarily looking at Mooresville, but haven't ruled out Huntersville (or Cornelius if something we liked were to open up there).
We are both young (mid/late 20s), and are planning to start a family in the next couple years, so the schools and access to things like daycare (which I know is a bit of a nightmare everywhere right now) are important to us, but we still wanting access to smaller/local family-friendly restaurants and sports bars--we are still in our 20s!
My husband works remotely and therefore a commute will not be an issue for him. I on the other hand am expecting that I will be splitting my work time between uptown (2 days a week) and off of exit 58 in Concord (almost to Kannapolis; 2 days a week). I will be working 10s instead of standard 8-5 hours, so I will hopefully be able to miss at least one rush hour of each drive if I time it correctly.
Since we currently live out of state, we will have limited time to explore our options ourselves and would love any feedback we can get about the these areas. What's the commute really like from both places to Uptown (what about if you're willing to pay/take the toll roads)? What about across town to Concord? When is rush hour really the worst (which way should I push my 10 hour shift on a given day/route)? What areas in each town are more/less congested just trying to get around doing day-to-day stuff? Who has better schools? What are y'all's opinions of the feel of the areas/the people there, etc.? Open to any and all feedback you can give, as we're hoping to buy a house and not move again (we've been in apartments since we were 18 and 16 respectively, so we're SO over renting).
Hello Mooresville neighbors. Charlotte guy here.
Was coming through Mooresville earlier today on my way to salisbury. Passed lazy 5 ranch on my left then passed a farm on my right.
The farm's fence had baseball hats tied to each section and then at the end it had "Gotta Run" spelled out in more hats...
Was just curious if anyone knew the story behind this hat farm?
Thanks!
