Hello I just applied for admission here as an engineering transfer student. I meet all the requirements, but was wondering if I need to always apply to the engineering school there. Because on the application it just asked intended major and I put it. But my friend who has already finish college(different one) told me if I applied for my major. Idk what that means I thought I just needed to apply to the school and put my intended major and meet the requirements? Can someone tell me if this is the case.

I already know the best Professor is John Taylor. My issue is that I can't sign up for spring classes until tomorrow and all of his seats are already filled. I am currently taking Scott Wilde for calc 1, and with the way he teaches I don't think I could do well in calc 2. Out of the current professors teach calc 2, which do y'all believe is the best at teaching their class? Not necessarily looking for the easy way out (though that'd be nice) but rather a professor that is good at teaching the subject and it is easy to understand what they mean.

hii so i just got a student parking pass for west deck for the game tmrw, but i have class at 830 am and wasnt planning on moving my car (i also have a commuter pass) since i got it with my niner account, will they know that its my car on the ticket? or will i have to go to the deck at a specific time and show my ticket

Could anybody give me like a quick rundown on what the summer semesters are like? Are they all summer long or 8 weeks or anything like that? Also, compared to the Fall and Spring semesters, are there as many classes offered? There are a few specific courses that im not able to take this spring but am hoping to take in the summer if possible. Any other info that you guys could provide would be absolutely awesome and appreciated.

Hi, I'm an incoming Spring '25 transfer student from CPCC and I need help registering for classes (tomorrow at 10am) because my advisor ghosted me (hasn't responded in over 2 weeks).

I'll already have my associate's from CPCC but I'm majoring in biology and minoring in psychology. These are the classes I was planning to register for, if any alum or current students think it's doable or to steer clear. Any advice/tips on homework, studying hacks, good professors, anything would be greatly appreciated!!

BIOL 3273 + lab (Animal Physiology)

CHEM 2131 + lab (Organic Chemistry 1)

PHYS 1101 + lab (Intro. to Physics 1)

Has anyone taken Matt Thayer for ITSC 2144, i don’t know who to take because Aileen Benedict’s class is full.

I know a lot of my friends in my major for psychology have had the same issue where it is so hard to get ahold of your advisor for help or advice on registration, I need three more classes to fulfill my major and I couldn’t get into them, and my advisor won’t get back to me. I know she’s busy around this time but like why not give us more than one advisor since there is so many students. Also last time I got in contact with my advisor all she did was send me a link with no explanation on electives I could use as fillers until the next semester when I can try to get in the classes again. I am just so frustrated and confused because I don’t want to pay for classes I don’t need and I want to graduate sooner rather than later. Is there any other department I can go to for help with these issues so they can be resolved in a timely manner.

Trying to transfer to UNCC this upcoming Fall 2025 after my freshman year!!! I want to major in Graphic Design, with my second choice being Communications. I was filling out the transfer application and noticed that when I go to choose Graphic Design, next to it says fall only? Does this mean that Graphic Design classes are only offered in the fall, and I won't be able to take any classes during the Spring? Or does it just mean I can't transfer in the Spring (which I wasn't planning on doing anyways, so wouldn't be a big deal)? Sorry if this is a dumb question, probably seems self explanatory but any insight will help :)

I mainly stick to realistic portraits and don’t use any mediums other than graphite and charcoal. i don’t have anything related to color, photography, or ceramics to include in my portfolio, should i be worried?

I (18M) really don’t like alcohol (alcoholism in my family) and I’m pretty put off by drinking culture. I have cool friends that I like here, but I really just don’t like when they talk about how much they love to drink. Then I realized I have no sober friends here. Anyone who is sober feel free to reach out, maybe we can chat?

Disclaimer! I know drinking alcohol doesn’t make you a bad or terrible person, I know being sober doesn’t make you a good or fun person. It’s just a lifestyle similarity that I would like to perhaps share with some of the people around me.

Hi yall... I am a senior graduating in May and am very back and forth on going for my masters. Im getting my BA in Communications with a concentration in mass media (minor in journalism). I wanted to get my masters in like the social media/PR field but found out you get study a specific area for your masters and instead will be forced to take classes I have no interest working in. I have to make up my mind my January but I am trying to see if a masters would be beneficial or if I should just immediately go into the field

I had a class section on my preferred schedule, but the Seniors filled up all 43 slots plus a waitlist spot already. I can choose my classes tomorrow afternoon, but should I bother trying to put myself on the waitlist (assuming there's still room by my timeslot)? How often do people get off the waitlist?

Also: there's only 2 sections for this class that I need, so what happens if the other section is also full by the time I'm able to get to it?
