If /r/Charlotte and /r/Golf had a baby, this would be it! A place for those looking to golf in Charlotte as it's sometimes tough to find playing partners. As this subreddit grows, we can start to host regular tee times at rotating courses.

Just had 2 bail on an early tee time at Tot Hill in Asheboro (1 hour 10 min drive from Charlotte) Saturday morning. The green fees are $150 but it’s an amazing Mike Stranz layout. Think Tobacco Road but in the hills with exposed rock instead of waste bunkers.
Figured I’d give it a shot on here before we released the times back to the shop and get stuck with two randoms.
I would rather my two randoms come from this sub.
I’m looking to see if I can find these golf balls for an impromptu golf trip. Amazon won’t deliver them on time, so I’m trying to see if anyone has any spare ones that they’re willing to sell. I’ve checked most golf shops in the area and no one seems to carry them.
Thanks in advance.
Maybe $50-100 per player, not looking for a stern test of my lack of skills, but good condition, nice greens, scenic, you know the drill. Private is ok too as I likely can get privilege
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Would love to sell a spornia 7ft net with sidewalls and projector screen. Hoping to sell locally as shipping is not possible due to size. $200 OBO
Looking to meet some people in the area. 29 year old. Shoot around 100- so not that good.
Looking for advice on local golfers and country club members. Below are facts about my situation, and advice I'm looking for.
Any wisdom or guidance you're willing to share, I appreciate!
I’ve got room on a bus from South End Charlotte, NC to Pinehurst and back for the Saturday round. Just asking here to gauge interest in filling some more spots as I know it’s last minute.
~18ish handicapper here. Looking for a couple of driver-only lessons to help rid my horrible slice. I know it’s swing path, but for some reason I cannot get my body to swing inside out. Former baseball player, still somewhat athletic. Not trying to break the bank or commit to months-long program. Just a couple lessons here and there. Suggestions?
I've played both Sifford and Charles T Myers 10+ times but have never gotten over to Harry Jones for whatever reason. I like to walk most of the time if I can. Is Harry Jones walkable like the other two are?
Down for most of the Charlotte area courses, live in southend so ideally nothing >45 min.
My wife and I are recently retired business owners, in our mid and late 60’s, athletic and active, and considering moving to the Charlotte area from Southern California. We want to buy a home in a golf community, but the neighborhood, club amenities and the social opportunities are more important to us than the golf. The housing budget is in the 1.5 mil range. We’d like to find a club with an unpretentious well-rounded membership that is not totally golf-centric. We can afford a decent initiation fee if needed, and I don’t mind a waitlist as long as I can use the practice facilities while waiting. Any comments or recommendations are greatly appreciated!
Hello all, I lived in CLT/Gastonia for 4ish years pre/start of covid and just recently moved back to the NW side near Freedom Dr. and USWWC. I picked golf back up in the last couple of years and looking to start playing regularly in Charlotte, mostly 18 on the weekends and 9 holes after work week days. I also live ~10 minutes from Stifford and Sunset Hills so will likely do some lunch range days here!
I am 30yo and bounce around a 6-10 handicap and prefer to walk with push cart but as long as I am outside and playing I am happy!
Anyone interested in meeting up? Open to playing with anyone, and might sign up for the Spark Golf Leagues and/or the "team PGA tournaments" to meet more people.
Is there anywhere I can play solo? Seems like every place requires at least 2 people when looking at tee times. I understand it’s not possible on the weekends but I’m looking for a Monday morning tee time
I'm not a member anywhere and am looking to have a range, but also work on 50 yards and in, bunker shots and putting. It seems like every course has something a little different but no where really has it all. Anyone have some good practice facilities they recommend?
Anybody in or managing any leagues in Matthews/Mint hill area?
Pretty straight forward ask here, I’m looking for a range the has swing trackers on the bay. I’m want to see what my current numbers are so I have data to take into equipment upgrades. Bonus points if it’s an outdoor facility although I realize that’s not likely.
Long shot here to avoid having to ship, but would prefer to sell locally before I offer it up to the greater golf world to sell. Both products are about a year old, but I am looking to upgrade to a photo system for my garage due to space constraints. Both are fully operational and ready to be used by someone with more space.
EDIT: Would also love to sell a 6-AW Callaway Apex 19 Iron set. Regular flex steel shafts. In great condition, I just moved on to Mizunos. $350.
Will send pictures on request.

I'm not a great golfer but I really enjoy playing. I only have every other weekend off so my old golf group doesn't contact me but I have at least two weekdays off a week. I want to get better but I need to consistently play more.
I’ll be there a couple of days!
Anyone interested in playing Charlotte National this Friday around 12? We have room for 2 more.
Teed off at 8:40, done in 4 hours. Can’t beat weekday rounds!
Cart, greens fee, and range balls for $59.
One of best semi-private courses around, though the heat and lack of rain haven’t made it easy this summer.
Heard good things about Deerbrook, might have to make the journey.
Have you played on a friendly public course ?
Do you prefer to play on the weekend?
Would you like someone to play with?
Not very good but I enjoy the personal challenge. Looking for a nice public Golf Course for weekend play.
Thanks.
Looking to get out Sunday morning. Anyone interested?
Hey Everyone,
I am going to create a bunch of user Flairs that list home course. I'm going to go around the Charlotte area and add the courses. If I miss any, let me know.
