I just got woken up by a LANDLINE/home office call from CharMeck Alerts about a fucking missing person/amber alert. How do I disable this that NOBODY signed up for?
Calling 311, at 1:36 in the morning, obviously resulted in the system telling me they're not in-office.

This is late as we were there last weekend. We came in from New Orleans to visit our daughter. We went to the Saints game and had a great experience! Except for the loss haha. I loved being outdoors in perfect weather. The fans were so fun! And the corgi halftime show was the best! Great meals at Noble, Mama Ricotta, and Fin & Fino. Mostly I love that my kiddo is thriving in such a great city! Thank you, Charlotte!

Recently graduated, moved to south Charlotte, and I don’t know too many people. I know the common advice is to join rec leagues and groups for singles but I have a gf and Im too tired after work for sports. Anyways im just looking for guys who want to drink beer and talk sports, some guys who are borderline addicted to sports gambling. Hi, my 7yr old daughter has expressed interest in playing soccer. She has never played before. She doesn't know the rules or anything. We live in south Charlotte and I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for a place that would help her learn the game and be a positive environment for her. Might be a long shot but hey, why not. My girlfriend and I were riding our bikes earlier today on Little Sugar Creek Greenway from Freedom Park to Pineville. On our way back, near Freedom park around 1:15 pm, we ran into a group that seemed to just be leaving for their ride. They asked if we would like to join but we were wrapping up a 16 mile ride. Would love to know who that group was. They seemed like cool people and would love to go a group ride with people like that!

Are there local climate advocacy groups I could join?

Does anyone know the best way to go about advocating for implementation of more sustainable architecture in the city?

Would love to get more advice, and if anyone else is interested in joining the fight, would love to group think how to be as effective as possible.

A coworker told me they help you find housing as long as you have a stable job, which i do. He said ypu pay rent for 10 months before the lease end and will give you x amount of money to go towards a deposit for your own place. I would like this option, but i plan on joining the army (hopefully) by January.

Every time i go there, theres a long line which i presume is for meals. Yesterday I went, i waited 30min and the line didnt even move. I dont want to wait just for a simple question. I did ask for my coworker to have his case worker call me and he said i would have to go to the office.

Is any familiar with this? Would i be able to get a place if i will just break the lease in a month or 2?
