is the gold pass sale for 2025 worth it? i'm not sure how they're normally priced, but it ends tonight and i've been debating. it's 8 payments of $10 and the initial $25 upon purchasing, so $105 total in the end.
I am having issues getting clear responses and finding concise information. Can I bring in food for my 14-month-old? She obviously will not eat things that are at the park and I too have a gluten allergy and was planning on bringing food and snacks for myself. Will they big make a big deal about it? I was going to be bringing juice and things in her diaper bag and snacks like I normally do whenever we go anywhere with her.
Does anybody know how I could get my physical gold card I know some people who said to go to guest services and get one and some people say they don’t give them out?thanks for any help
Recently purchased the 2025 gold pass and for the rest of 2024. And I saw in the benefits of the gold pass it says early entry to park and water park, could anyone let me know how it works or any other info , thanks in advance
Looking at the app and it's showing quite a bit closed. Can anyone there confirm?
Bloodyard, Harvest FEAR, Ripper Alley, Lobotomy all closed on the app.
So we're here for Carowinds and planning to stay in the park for Scarowinds. Is there a certain place we need to be to wait inside? I have younger kids so we're not doing the mazes, just taking in the atmosphere and maybe trying to ride a ride or two.
I'm currently in line as this was one I really wanted to do but I guess I'm a bit confued as to why the line is a 45 min wait compared to the others that are less than 15 minutes tonight
I have a prestige pass that comes with 2 free bring a friend passes and I was wondering are there certain days that these can be used? I was planning to go tomorrow (Saturday) and use them. Is this allowed?
Is scarowinds gonna open back up if the rain clears or are they closing everything atm?
Any idea when WindSeeker will be back up and running? It broke the first day we came and hasn’t been back up since.
Anyone know the menu for frequent fryers? I like to know ahead of time
So we tried again. I guess we'll just get there by 9am tomorrow.
Edit: We got here at 11am and it's pretty empty. Probably because it's cool.
I plan on going tommrow but my mom and I were worried about the bag policy and we are going there during the day as well so during the transition are they just going to make us put our bags back in our car??
Lesson learned.
Hey y'all, I saw someone say you might be allowed to take a bag in during Scarowinds if you need it for menstrual products. Can anyone confirm this?
Need gone immediately. I purchased one VIP parking pass & one Regular admission Fall day and night admission ticket for 10/26/24. Both for $100.
Me and my group of friends were planning on going to Carowinds on Sunday the 27th for the Oktoberfest, tricks n treats, and scarowinds. I have been to carowinds before but never scarowinds.
We planned on arriving and wearing costumes for the costume contest and staying for Scarowinds.
However scarowinds website says no bags and no costumes. To my understanding the ticket pays for all the events. The website also states you can’t leave the park and return AND you cannot carry a bag of any kind.
Nothing horror/gore, bulky or with a mask ofc as to not be confused with staff.
My question(s) is…
Will they make us leave even though we are already in the park? If so will I be allowed to come back in?
If not, will we be asked to change? And if so how can we have different clothes if we cannot carry a bag or return once out of the park? I was going to have a very small basket to hold my phone keys and wallet. (costume purposes)
Should we come empty handed with nothing but phone, keys, wallet?
I don’t think it makes sense to encourage the attire, advertise the ticket is for everything and you don’t have to leave. Just a little confused. Still planning on having fun regardless.
I apologize if this is long winded.
I wanna go solo today but worried it will be too crowded to bother.
This was our second trip to Scarowinds ever. We went years ago and we had a blast.
First, definitely get the fast pass. We got there Saturday about 1pm and it wasn't too bad in the regular line but as the day went on it just got busier and busier. As Scarowinds got going there was roughly 15-30 minutes wait even with Fast Pass. Night Hawk was ridiculous regardless of timing. We avoided it until early Sunday and still had to wait over 20 minutes and the line wmwas super short. What a mess. Fury, Copperhead, Thunder Strike, and After Burn were our highlights.
We enjoyed the Scarowinds mostly. I feel like there were less actors this time around. The haunted houses were well done, but few actors. We quickly realized that haunted houses don't do much for us anymore. We paid for the fright lane and so glad we did. Can't imagine standing in line for hours just to walk through that. But that's just our opinion. We definitely won't get the fright lane next time and just do coasters.
The most disappointing part was finding open concessions. You'd think they'd make more money if they had more open- I guess school year is tough for hiring maybe. The restaurants they had open were all jam packed and long lines.
When we left at 10pm Saturday there were hundreds of people still trying to get in. It was wild!
Sunday was awesome. No waits in the regular line and we got to ride Fury repeatedly. Once again, hardly any concessions though.
Also some areas of the park stunk like garbage. Need to power wash the concrete more frequently.
Overall, we had a blast and can't wait til our next trip up. We are first time Season Pass holders and look forward to coming more often.
I am a new seasons pass holder - and this is my first time to Carowinds (but I would consider it my “home” park - and I intend to visit often) - but I’ve noticed on every single coaster since I got here - that each one is running with multiple empty seats… why…???
Do they not do a single rider lane in the US (like the used to -and may still do - in my home country) ….?
I feel like the wait time could be cut in HALF if they filled every seat…
Anyone have thoughts on Woodstock Express (what I call Scooby Doo still haha) for plus size adult? I haven’t ridden it since I was a kid, but I’m dying to try it but don’t want to take the walk of shame in front of my kid haha
This is not a joke -- unfortunately this is a legitimate question. Carowinds is my home park and we are passholders and frequent visitors. We attended Scarowinds on Friday October 18. On each of the big coasters and a few times when walking around the park, we got a odor of what could only be described as hot garbage. Seriously, it smelled like the park was next to a landfill. We had never experienced that before and couldn't figure out why we were smelling this terrible smell. Did anyone else notice this and is there an explanation?
I just want to make sure I’m doing this right. If I buy a ticket for Scarowinds will that also allow me to ride the regular carowinds rides? Or should I buy a regular Carowinds tickets and also still be able to go to scarowinds? We are planning to go tonight (Friday) and definitely want to buy tickets ahead of time online.
so i'm going to carowinds for my birthday next year for my first time and i'm wondering what do they do if you tell them it's my birthday? thanks so much!!!!! :)
