Has anyone heard the things coming out about Counter?

    New to Reddit, hi everyone!

I’ve been hearing some things from people very close to the situation come out about the chef of Counter. I was curious if anyone else had heard anything?

    Favorite Ramen Spot in Charlotte

I'm a Ramen nut! I love it love love it. I lived in Japan for over a decade. During that time I ate Ramen at least once a week if not twice. I had my favorite spots as everyone does. Since moving back to my home town here in Charlotte, my wife and I have landed on Roppongi Ramen Bar as the closest to real Japanese Ramen. What are your favorite ramen spots in Charlotte Metro?

Birthday Dinner Spot - good restaurants for group

    Hi all!

I am looking for a restaurant in charlotte (preferably South End, Uptown, NODA, Elizabeth or plaza) to host a birthday dinner. We are a group of 10 - most being out of town family so looking for a cool spot/neighborhood to show.

Trying to find a place near a cocktail lounge for pre dinner drinks. Open to all cuisines but trying to stay under $50 p/p. The few spots I’ve found that I’m interested in require a pre fix menu or minimum spend that’s going to cost at least $1k. Trying to keep the bill to $500-600.

    Thanks in advance! (Cross-posted)

Restaurant for a Date Night (Suggestions)

Wife and I are planing to go out to eat, and we are looking for something different. We like Suprica a lot, but are looking at “State of Confusion” off of Clanton and S. Tryon. Any other suggestions for higher end eats?

    Sunday

Any recommendations for good food on a Sunday around 11:30am? Can be breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Ideally someplace where reservations aren’t required and the place won’t be slam packed busy (unless it has a decent bar where I can be seated/served without a wait)?

Join us our annual Meat & Potatoes event!

We love to give chefs a chance to show off and branch out in the kitchen, and tomorrow, we'll be getting a glimpse of what some of the city's best are capable of when given no boundaries. Check out Unpretentious Palate's Meat & Potatoes dinner, where we take Charlotte's steak-and-potatoes reputation and shatter it course by course. Each course — from the beef cheek barbacoa empanada welcome dish to the foie-caramel custard dessert and the four courses in between — is one you'll remember. For just $100, you'll enjoy five courses plus a welcome bite, with gratuity included.

Looking for a good Dim Sum or Korean BBQ

As the title says, I'm looking for a good Dim sum place, or Korean BBQ. I have a feeling there's one here somewhere, and I haven't had either one of these since I moved out here. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome!

    Thanks in advance

Best biscuits and gravy and/or 80's style gravy?

Sometime in the late 80's, here in clt, i ate the best grits i have ever tasted. Not famcy or artisinally milled. I have no idea why they were so good, but they were heavenly. It was an unassuming greasy spoon, not too far from downtown, probably on theneastern side. Might've been a local chain.

Also looking for the best homemade sausage gravy around.

Also, does charlotte have a good old fashioned doughnut?
