are there any license plate agencies open on Saturday? I can’t find much online if so
Hi All. Looking to add/build a deck in the backyard of our house. Relatively small back yard, subdivision. Looking for feedback/advice/recommendations for a company/service provider. Appreciate your tips not only on who to use but also: what to expect. Cost, timeline to consider. In process of HOA approval and trying to get estimates, review options. Thank you! We are Southeast, near Garner.
With Thanksgiving coming up I was wondering if there's anywhere in particular that has exceptionally good pies. Mostly looking to get pecan or pumpkin. Normally I just get pie from the big name stores but I wanted to explore local options.
So had the (possibly) crazy idea of cooking a goose for Christmas. Haven't done it in years. Any place I can get one? Not seeing anything local online, I'm guessing it's going to be a specialty order and I want to make sure I get it in time—bonus for any local (or sort of local) farms that have goose available.
Hi! ISO a cozy coffee shop with chill vibes (as in, not super loud or really jarring music), so that I’ll feel more motivated to get out of my house and work on some graduate work. I’m getting sick of Starbucks 😬. Are there any cute local places in Cary/Morrisville or ITB Raleigh that fit this description? Thanks!
I will be in Raleigh Monday through Wednesday of the week of thanksgiving. What cool things can I get into? Coming from PNW - never been to Raleigh before. Is there farmers markets, local book stores, local coffee shops, cool shops or sights to see? Museums are great too but I want to see local stuff. Let me know.
Traffic lights are down. I just drove through the intersection(s) praying I didn’t get hit but it’s chaos sooo many cars and it’s hard to see
Has traffic gotten noticeably worse in the past few weeks or is it just me imagining that? Maybe it has something to do with the time changing?
Been having issues lately with some of the faucets and shower hardware in my bathroom. They're old and for the most part need replacing and I was wondering if anyone had good recommendations for a plumber in the area? Already have the fixtures I'd like to replace 'em with. Not in particular rush to have someone out, so I'd like to find someone who knows their stuff and isn't going to charge something crazy (hopefully).
Has anyone had any experience with Fairview Children’s Center in Apex or Triangle Academy and Preschool?
Looking for a tattoo artist with nice line and color work who can help me design a tattoo in a cyberpunk style! I already have my idea but I’m not especially artistic. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!
Does anyone have experience getting an orthopedic knee surgery in Raleigh? Or experience with a MACI implant in general? Both success and horror stories welcome!
Hi all.
Is it possible to rent small studio/garage spaces in the area? I've been exploring options trying to get a feel for what's available, but the pickings seem slim.
I would like to do any of the following, not all at the same time, just trying to find a space that might accommodate any one of the below:
A garage of around 200 square feet with running water and access to restrooms would be ideal. Do these kinds of spaces exist in this area? Buying a house with a garage is not in the picture at the moment. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi there!
My family just moved to Angier from the North East. I have a 7 month old at home and my husband and I are planning on having at least one more child.
So here's the rub: I am 38 years old, considered overweight, and was a gestational diabetic. Needless to say, I had a high risk pregnancy. As far as labor and delivery, I went in to be induced at 39 weeks, had no progression for 3 days, and then ended up having an unplanned c-section because babe was in a "C" position in my pelvis. The labor was pretty traumatic to my body and I am still having side effects from it. I was in the hospital for a week initially, and then ended up bring readmitted for a week due to cellulitis and a severe infection in my incision (almost fully septic). So again, there was a lot going on.
With all that being said, of course I want to do it again! hahaha Well, at least, my daughter was completely worth all the complications. So I would love to find an ObGyn (within 35 minutes of Angier) that specializes in high risk pregnancies. Also, knowing that certain doctors are affliated with certain hospitals, I would like to find one associated with a very good labor and delivery hospital that has a NICU.
Any comments, advice, suggestions, and recs are fully welcome.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
Hi everyone! I am looking to get a tattoo in the coming months and wondered what are some recommended places in Raleigh since I am new to the area. I've attached a picture of a tattoo that is similar to the one I want to get done. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Hi everyone! My fiancé lives abroad and for Christmas, his grandma asked for a book with photos of Raleigh so she can have a mental image of where I live/we will live together once his visa is approved.
Does anyone have suggestions for books or places I can find something like this? Would love some recommendations on local spots to do some Christmas shopping for them to bring some of Raleigh to England & support small business while I’m at it.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Hi everyone! Been seeing some cold smoked fish all around social media and I’ve been seriously craving it. Anyone know a place I could get some? Thanks in advance!
Been going to the gym the past few months at like 2AM... which was a great time to go. My sleep schedule has rotated again and I'm awake during the day, the gym I go to is hard to even find a single open machine.
Are there any gyms in Raleigh / Garner that either aren't packed during the day or at least big enough to accommodate it's numbers?
Hi r/Raleigh! Looking for recommendations for women's leather jackets for my wife's birthday. I would rather go local than like a Nordstrom's
Hi everyone was curious if anyone would be able to provide some recommendations for traditional tattoo artists in the area. Thanks!
Does anyone know of restaurants in the area hiring for part time seasonal servers/hostesses? I have experience in fine dining but am willing to consider all options (assuming tips are decent). I’d be open to retail as well however I have no experience there, same with delivery drivers that can use their own vehicle. Thanks!
She lives in Wake Forest and is a girly girl. Likes working out, manis, decorating her new house, clean eating and right now lives for her children (middle school and preschool ages).
Would love to give her a day out but am open to any and all creative ideas especially near Wake Forest. Thought about the spa at The Umstead but geez not sure it’s worth the money. Also, she would spend a fair bit of time in traffic getting there and back so it might not relieve stress after all.
Thanks y’all!
Hoping someone sees this and can point me in the right direction. I’m in Clayton but willing to go out as far as Durham. Is there any website or anything that has a list? Thanks people!
Seemed cultural, maybe a funeral procession. Some people looked like they were wearing traditional cultural clothing but I couldn’t identify what culture it came from. Would love to learn more.
Do any restaurants or bars serve hot apple cider in Raleigh/Cary/Morrisville?
