How often do you show up there to a sign on the door saying they're not scooping? Happened tonight, said they were pint sales only, but the door was locked so we were meant to order a pint online for the woman working to fulfill it I guess. Is it because they're understaffed? Why lock the door and require us to order online if there is someone working? And advertising selling pints? Was really hoping to get some Jeni's on a Saturday night but we felt pretty uncomfortable sticking around.

I’m hoping someone here can help me out. On September 15th on Sunday, around 5 PM, I was involved in a car accident at the intersection of Trailwood Road and Tryon Road. It was a pretty stressful situation, and I'm looking for any witnesses or dash cam footage that might have caught what happened.

The other driver ran a red light and hit me, but the police are saying the accident was my fault, even though they mentioned they didn’t see any traffic camera footage. I’ve included a snippet of the report below, and I’d really appreciate any help in clearing this up.

If u have names of dentists and other dental specialists (endos, perios) who u have had very good experiences with, especially when it comes to regrowing bone around an implant, would love to know. 1st guy we saw was a snake oil salesman and was below standard of care. The last few weekends, I’ve been walking on the greenways starting at the apartment complex off of Lake Boone Trail. Each weekend, the Love Life group parks in the parking lot and has an attendant at the entrance, giving the insinuation that the parking lot is only for them. Which makes everybody else who is visiting park on the street.

Now we’re all here to walk so a couple hundred feet isn’t a big deal however, each time I pull up and I say this is a public parking lot and he waves me into park. So today I finally got the nerve to tell him that this is a public parking lot and it’s not just for their group. To what you replied Sneed I know God loves you. And I said it’s not a matter of God, loving me you standing there gives the insinuation that this is your parking lot and nobody else can park here. And of course we argued back-and-forth. All he had to say was that God loves me.

So anyone else who is tired of seeing them take over that parking lot please call the Raleigh greenways and give your feedback.

Some info, we are looking around the east side of the city and out- Wendell, Zebulon, Garner, Knightdale and the like. We are presently near RTP.

We are first timers nearing our 30s. We are starting from actual scratch. We need someone who knows about different types of loans, incentives, programs, tips and tricks.

We truly need education while going through this process, with someone who hopefully won’t judge our questions, and can help us understand what we can afford and realistically achieve without pushing us to spend more than we are comfortable.

If you know anyone like that- please let me know!! Also would love any particularly handy resources on first time home buying in this area of NC so we can begin self-educating.

Gosh, I love that I live in downtown Raleigh. I support local businesses and I do my best to be eco-friendly. I also love the fact that politicians who have never lived anywhere outside the state in their entire lives have dictated ridiculous state laws like the fact that we have state-operated liquor laws and bizarre 11pm curfews on scooters and poorly-maintained roads (despite outrageous registration fees and property taxes). It’s so awesome to live in such a cool area in which petite SAHM driving giant suburbans are the norm. Can’t wait to leave this wasted state!

I recently went to a new dentist in Raleigh, I’m not gonna mention which one but basically they recommended I get $5000 of work done to my teeth, I’m shocked. I have never had issues with my teeth before so to hear that I need at least 7 fillings is crazy.

I don’t have any pain or sensitivity at all so I was shocked when I was told by the dental assistant taking X-rays that I probably need a ROOT CANAL which the doctor then agreed with despite the X-rays showing no indication. They wanted to do so much to my teeth, recommending cosmetic procedures, asking if I wanted implants, trying to sell me a mouth guard for nighttime. I felt a little disheartened when I was lead to a room to discuss with a consultant and told that dental insurance isn’t really that great and instead I should take out their membership which offers cleaning and a discount for their services. I was pressured into booking an appointment to ‘ensure that I was doing something for my dental health’ and they gave me an even bigger discount without membership, however it still came to almost $5000.

Can anyone recommend a dentist that is not going to attempt to scam me of all my money and pressure me into getting a crap ton of work done that may not even be necessary? I’m not in a position to pay $5000 out of pocket for dental treatment but would like to take care of my teeth. TIA
