Hi, I think it would be fun to sword fight as a form of exercise. I’d like to go pretty hard. I have some foam swords and some bamboo Japanese kendo swords. I was thinking of putting it on lacrosse or ice hockey gear and going pretty hard. anyone interested in trying it? Also, please pass it along ifyou have any friends you might think would be interested.
We found Lula in a drain around 1/2 mile away from my house thank you all so so much for the help!

Some thoughts. The Burkes have a history of being bullies. Everybody knows it. Vivian and now Barbara demeaned and undermined and harassed people and staff at the City for years. Kevin Mundy isn't the smartest person, also kinda racist but in this case he's right. Demanding expensive, fancy housing paid for at least in part with City resources is unethical and anti-poor. He's also right about Patrice Tony. She had no business running that organization and she worked with the Minister's Conference to smear a lot of good people who were just trying to turn a page at the City and put a whole chapter of toxic mess behind them.
Does anyone know of any neighborhoods/churches in Winston/Clemmons area that are doing a big gathering for Halloween? Chicken stew, music, anything?
Where can I buy fresh seafood? Im new here and i can't figure out where to get them.
Hi folks!
I am a newly-freelancer web developer looking to build my network as I grow my business!
To that end, I was thinking of designing free websites for people in exchange for a referral!
I am coming from an agency background so once we have the initial design hammered down we can discuss some of the juicier stuff like custom apps, search engine optimization, and the like if you would be interested in taking it all the way!
My real specialty is in building funnels that get people to convert and keep buying from you, and building a sleek website/landing page is one of those key steps in that process.
But yeah, drop a comment if you need a new website or a revamp of an existing one!
Looking forward to connecting!
School Experiences. I’m am a substitute and am always curious about schools that I don’t have knowledge of when considering accepting assignments. I think having a place for conversation about different schools would be really awesome.
Edit: I wanted to add that I have subbed at certain schools expecting a difficult experience and really come to enjoy it there. I’ve also had some chaotic experiences at schools close by, but returned several times only to realize that each class is different and once I understood the school it was a lot better. I think once you understand the way each school operates: phrases, disciplines etc. it’s so much easier to successfully manage a classroom.
We want to try something different from our regular go to spots but don’t want to have a bad experience. I’m wondering what everyone recommends as a place that’s always good. Thanks!
it’s gonna be rad
Hi folks! My name is Ellie Heffernan, and I’m a reporter at 100 Days in Appalachia, an online publication that covers the entire region.
I’m currently seeking sources for a story about childcare and the upcoming election. I saw that the nonprofit organization Politisit (https://www.politisit.org/childcare-for-voters) offers reimbursement for up to two hours of free childcare for North Carolina voters heading to the polls. It appears they may be allowing more than two hours for folks in counties affected by Hurricane Helene.
If there are any folks from Winston-Salem using Politisit’s reimbursement, I’d love to hear from you!
Alternatively, I’d like to hear from any folks juggling child care while planning to vote.
Are you taking your children to the polls? Are you leaving them with family or friends? Is lack of affordable childcare an impediment to your ability to vote? Message me and let me know!
Anyone in Pfafftown use anyone other than spectrum? Im about to lose it

Christopher Smith, taking a page from Jeff Jackson’s playbook to run against Robert Clark, in the West Ward, who has been the incumbent since 2001.
Thoughts or actual knowledge of this Christopher Smith?
Concerns that Council and Mayoral offices could be blanket Democratic (or any single party)?
Just moved to the area and after seeing so many recommendations to try this place out, finally did. It was terrible…I got the hot wings that I kept seeing recommend. They were so bland, and had 0 crisp to them. First time I’ve ever had to ask to send something back and get a different menu item.
Does anyone have a recommendation for actual good wings in the area? Or within 15-20 mins?
Edit: Thanks for all the replies everyone. Ill be trying a place for my birthday this evening 😎
I know that posts in this subreddit have indicated that most trick or treating in Winston is on Halloween (tomorrow), but what day are adults planning on going out to bars? Or did everyone celebrate last weekend and won’t this weekend? Thanks in advance!
I’m moving to the area this upcoming February and Id really like to find a place that meets my style while also being in a great location. Does anyone have suggestions for apartments that have a darker/industrial feel to them (exposed brick, hard wood floor, wood accents etc) that are in walking distance to bars downtown?
Down for anything really but kind of have a hankering for a good burger spot if anybody has any recommendations. Thanks!
I have been craving hot pot for a bit and am SO excited for k pot to open.
Does anyone know when it’s expected to open?
Or recommendations for other local hot pot spots to try in the meantime? (I don’t think there’s any in Winston but I’d love to be wrong)
It’s clearly a typo, but they not wrong!
Hi everyone,
I’m currently on the lookout for an entry-level office job, preferably as an assistant or receptionist. I have experience in tutoring and childcare, which has helped me develop strong communication and organizational skills.
Additionally, I’m comfortable with technology and have a knack for learning new software quickly. If anyone knows of any openings or has advice on where to apply, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you!
I’m listing a house in Winston-Salem this week that I no longer live in, but fall is FALLING and there are a bunch of very prolific trees on the property. Is there a lawn service out there that would be able to come a couple times a week to keep the leaves at bay? I live two hours a way, so doing it myself is just not viable.
Open to any and all ideas!
Anyone have tips on how to be effective while DoorDashing? Been trying to do as a side gig for a while now from 5pm-8pm to bring in some extra cash every once in a while but it seems that I only bring in around $30 bucks. Granted I don’t always accept every single order that pops up due to them being too far with little pay.
Does anyone know of any WFH jobs that aren't scams? I recently had a interview with the HART group (which is a cali based insurance company) they hired me, I did more research turns out like most WFH jobs I've seen HART is also a scam. I have all the required equipment to WFH. In addition, I have sales experience (top seller), retail (top seller/performer), and call center experience (also a top performer).
Most if not all opportunities I see are based out of state, does anyone know of any Winston-Salem based or nc based? Or if you know of any that are not scams that are still out of state, please let me know! Thank You!
