Last season, Rudy Gobert beat out Wemby, AD, Mobley, Bam, etc for DPOY award.
This season though. Almost all betters, analysts, and even fans is already crowning or at least projecting Wemby to be the Defensive Player of the Year.
Do you think he will win this season? An will start to win DPOY consecutively from now on?
Which player do you think can challenge him?
At SAS 0/2
Vs OKC 0/4
At UTA 0/9
At MIN 0/4
I think the record for most consecutive missed 3s is 31 by Zaza (who was 0/31 for his career).
Thanks to Himofey-Mozgov, so far the most consecutive missed 3s I know of is 47 by Otis Thorpe: In 1991, he made his 2nd last attempt, then missed his last attempt in 1991, then missed another 46 during the rest of his career.
Basically, the title.
Joker is already a 3x MVP, and a 1x FMVP. Some people even saying he is in Top 20 player all time already since he is over (Wade and Dirk)?
And right now, he is leading the MVP Race with a 29 pt triple double average. Maybe, Joker is the one who will beat the "voter fatigue".
But, that is not the question. Who do you think is the biggest threat for him in terms of MVP award being stolen this season?
Giannis? SGA? Tatum? AD? Luka?
My hot take is Giannis. (Ironically his rival for Best Player this decade). If Giannis can carry his bucks team (after early struggles), Voters might be swayed
Luka might catch up. But he had a very low start.
And then, you have SGA and Tatum who might be favored (or unfavored?) by their team standings in terms of being the MVP
Who do you think is the most probably rival of Joker for MVP this season?
PS: Please, be serious.🙂
he had a dunk where he took of from very far off one step damn near looked like it was from a stand still.
I like to say is was during one of the USA exhibition game but I’m not sure, definitely happened in the past year though
Washington Wizards trade Jonas Valanciunas to OKC for Kenrich Williams & Nikola Topic
Why this is good for the Wizards, They get a young talent in Topic not getting much playing time in OKC who was a previours Top 10 pick. Williams is on a team friendly contract.
Why this is good for OKC Valanciunas has playoff experience and it's always good to have an extra big man around that can rim protect and play D also to keep him away from any other team is good enough cough LA
Washington Wizards trade Jonas Valanciunas to the Kings. for Keven Huerter
Why this works out for both teams Sabonis & Valanciunas both played for Lithuanian men's basketball team and have a lot of chemistry togeather and Jonas also played with DeRozan for years in Toronto so there is good fit with the team and he puts them in a win now mode. Wizards get Kevin Huerter some one who shoots the 3 and is the same age as there core team in Pool and Kuzma can help the wizards.
Washington Wizards trade Jonas Valanciunas to the Orlando Magic for Anthony Black
Why this works for both teams Orlando is ahead of schedule in the east because the east was so bad ad the begining of the season but the Magic built up enough of a lead to make sure they finnish top 3. Having Jonas Valanciunas gives them something they don't have playoff experience and more size Anthony Black wont get you much in the playoffs but Jonas will get you a solid centre . But I see them holding onto Black for far longer then they need to. Why this is good for the Wizards they get a young talent in Black who can play both ways on the floor and can shoot they neeed a guy like Anthony Black more then Jonas Valanciunas right now I can see a starting lineup for washingtomn Big 3 in Sarr Black and Coulibaly very soon .
16 PPG on 50 TS is obscenely bad. 43 FG% for a center is crazy especially for someone who doesn't even space the floor. Does his defense make up for the fact that he's actually a really bad offensive player?
It’s just a bunch of dudes that can ball, reminds me of 2019 but instead of Lou will being our leading scorer we freakin James harden. I was drunk in the in a Yard House parking lot when Harden got traded to the clippers and I was literally punching air, I’m sorry James harden.

Spencer was the #53 pick in this past draft.
stolen from this guy since crossposts aren't allowed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/NBA_Draft/comments/1h5dsgw/cam_spencer_tonight_in_the_g_league_51_points_6/
He finished with a final stat line of:
20 pts on 7/10 shooting and 4/5 from three, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, and +17 in 22 minutes
He is finally starting to crack the rotation recently and has been gaining confidence in his shot from everywhere on the court.
So far he is
2nd in WS/48 with people who get decent minutes
Highest TS% (67%) on the team for people playing over 10 minutes
3rd highest WS behind Tatum and White
3rd highest VORP behind Tatum and White
Currently averaging 16/3/3 in only 28 min.
21st in EPM (+3.6) in the league only behind Tatum(+6) and White(+4.6) for the Celtics
Insane start to the season from him and should be a unanimous 6th man of the year so far
An absolute stinker for the Los Angeles Lakers tonight against the Timberwolves, with LeBron James and Anthony Davis coming for 8 for 30 from the field, and the entire team combining for 2 for 26 from three (minus D’Angelo Russell), as D’Angelo Russell had the only showing with 8 for 12 from the field and 4 for 5 from the three point line.
The Lakers lose by 29 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 109-80.

Funnily enough this corresponds to be right after the FT misses at the end of the Orlando game lol
