First and most important of all we NEED to win if we don't none of the thing below matters with that being said:
Pacers/Hawks - we need the Pacers to lose and the chance for the 6th seed increases exponentially
Magic/Bucks - we NEED the Magic to lose here, them winning is the worst case scenario for today
Sixers/Nets - we need the Nets to come through for us GO NETS

Personally I think 5th or 7th. I don’t like our chances with the Knicks but I feel like our chances against the Cavs are really good, like 4-1 good. I think the bucks also don’t show much of a challenge, just me tho, what do yall think?
Only 20 years old but has been picking up steam.
Bucks 14-11 Knicks 16-10 Cavs 12-16 Celtics 20-6
Heat 16-11
We don’t look that far behind when you look at it like this. Come on Miami!
NIKOLAAAAAA JOOOOOOOOOOOOOVIĆ 3EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I think the best outcome for Sunday is that the Magic lose to bucks, Sixers beat the nets, and the Pacers beat the Hawks. This means the 7-8 matchup for the play-in is Magic at Heat.
Assuming the Heat win, the matchups are Boston vs. 8 seed Bucks vs. Heat Knicks vs. Sixers Cavs Vs. Pacers
The Heat get a chance to eliminate the bucks again before Giannis gets the chance to fully recover. If it was a different matchup for the bucks, they could pull out the series and buy Giannis time to recover. This would make them a more difficult team.
The next round would be Heat vs. Sixers / Knicks. Embiid is not fully healthy, and the Knicks play hard. Even if they do win the series, it’s a weaker Embiid. This is like Kawhii getting injured after beating the Mavericks. If it’s the Knicks, the Heat can easily pull out that series regularly. Julius Randle is out and OG is having issues on and off. Brunson has been pretty sturdy all season, but with the load he has been carrying it’s not out of this world to imagine he might get hurt at some point in the playoffs.
Then it would most likely be ECF vs. Celtics, and Finals against whoever. Is this risky? Yes. But the Heat don’t control their own destiny beyond winning on Sunday.
compared to last year's final regular season games, i feel teams this season are working harder to get in the play-in. for example, last season, mavs, for some reason decided to throw away their season by benching luka for the last few of their games despite only being a few games back from the 10th seed.
even i felt like getting into the play-in was a waste of time for the heat. but last season's finals run taught me that anything is possible in a 7-game series. and i feel like this thought is imprinted in every other teams' minds this time. if last year's 8th-seed heat can do it, they can too. look at the standings of both east and west teams. this is arguably one of the most competitive seasons in a while. 3rd seed teams' records are only few games away from 8th seed teams' records.
still, we can't deny that what happened last year with the heat was black magic. gentlemen's sweep on the bucks. in the knicks series we saw jimmy butler with a sprained ankle pump faking a 3-pt shot at the corner without the ball (too easy). and of course, the 3-0 burst against the celtics.
while i believe the heat can beat any team this playoffs in a 7-game series, i'm afraid all the other teams know it too. it won't be as magical as last year. this post-season would be the grittiest one in a while for the team.
i just hope the heat truly believe they have enough because i think every other playoff teams do so as well.
This is gonna be crazy
