After finally ditching the incessant contested mid range jumpers, Herro is taking a career number of 3 but barely. With guys like Anthony Edwards attempting 12 3s a game, curry regularly averages 12+, Lamelo 12, Tatum 12, 10.
Hes at 45% from 3, it's clearly his best shot. He was playing somewhat like this in his rookie season where most of his shots came from 3s but then decided to play a more well rounded approach, which ultimately made his offense less efficient.
Ironically if we had this herro in both '22, '23 we win at least one title. Pain.
I know it's popular to shit on Bam, but he really is the only guy who can defend in the SL. Just imagine how bad we'd be without him.
Highsmith is arguably our best wing defender and needs to play in the SL to help out Bam.
Dru Smith, JRich, and Pelle are our best perimeter defenders (sad, I know). Dru Smith can't shoot 3s so he's out of the question and JRich is spotty with his offense. Pelle is going to at least be better than Rozier defensively and understands his role on offense. Plus, he's a solid shooter, which makes him better JRich offensively.
I know a Herro/Pelle backcourt presents its own questions offensively, mainly that Herro is going to be playing PG, but Herro was essentially our PG last game and has been our PG the last few seasons.
And that brings me to my next point - Herro had to develop PG skills out of necessity, which made him a better player, and there's no reason to believe that the same can't be true for Pelle. Him and Herro will have to share those responsibilities.
Regardless, inserting Pelle and Highsmith into the SL will undoubtedly make us better defensively AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, allow Bam to be better defensively since there's less burden on him. So, the way I see it is, we're essentially boosting our defense in the SL by 3 players, which would be huge for this team.
EDIT: forgot about JRich.
EDIT 2: Here's the defensive field goals from last night's game. Highsmith was the only defender who held the other player below 50%.
si am visiting miami for my b day and going to my first game, what’s the best seats to be near the players tunnel and maybe get some autographs pre game, any tips ?

Hi.
I have the feeling that Jimmy is not happy in Miami and he wants out. Does anybody have the same sensation? Is it time explore a trade? It is early on the season, I don’t want to overreact, but I doesn’t feel the same as past seasons, even with past struggles.
I don't wanna hear "it's only been 10 games" the same has been said the previous 2 seasons at this point and both seasons we ended up square in the play in at the 8th seed. This time it seems it might go worse
Yes we made a miracle run a few seasons ago but this team doesn't have the same fire that it once did. It's time for a complete reset in my opinion. This core is done
Pat please rebuild I'm begging you

Tyler continues to lead
Duncan 6/10 from three
Jrich finally puts points on the board: 10 PTS
Bam 20 PTS, 9 AST
Jimmy leaves in the first quarter with minor ankle injury
This team is not good. Every part of the game seems like a struggle for them. Bam has taken a huge step backwards, Jimmy looks disinterested most of the time and honestly might be washed. Terry looks awful shooting the ball and does not run the offense the way you need your point guard to run it. As a team no one other then Tyler takes the ball to the rim and when they do it's almost a guarantee they will miss a bunny at the rim. The only bright spot has been the guy the fan base has been begging to be traded since he was drafted. And even Spo has looked pedestrian with no answers to these long runs the opponents go on and constant turd quarters with no adjustments. They struggle against bad teams and get run out of the building against any decent team then look like a high school team when they play upper tier teams. I've been behind keeping this core together thinking they would progress but I'm done, I think it's time to blow it up.
