The Bulls are sellers and I read somewhere the price for Vuc is two second-round picks. If that's true, I am down for trading Zach Collins for Nikola Vucevic!
Adding a proven offensive force and versatile big man could significantly bolster our frontcourt. Vucevic is known for his scoring ability, rebounding, and playmaking from the center position.
In contrast, while Zach Collins has shown potential as a solid role player, he hasn't consistently demonstrated the same level of impact or efficiency. And there are games like the one vs the Kings where he was just horrible and as a result, Vic had to play the entire 4th Q.
I know Vuc is 34 years old, so it doesn't really fit our timeline but Zack is not part of our future either, and if it costs only a couple second second-rounders. I say let's go for it. The backup center position and rebounding, in general, is our biggest concern right now.
We didn't have to go through the endless rebuild other franchises did, but oh my god does it feel good to have meaningful Spurs games again.
I may be absolutely out of my mind but I am starting to think this team is actually good. Not like, sort of good. But actually good. All they need is a little bit of experience in high-pressure games, and that's what the NBA Cup gives us.
Well played, Adam Silver. As a fan, I love this addition to the NBA product. It's so much better than the plain old regular season we had before. GSG!
This new H‑E‑B commercial is one of my all time favorites now. Freaking hilarious
Depth wise we looks solid as of right now C Wemby Bassey Collins PF Sochan Barnes Mamu SF Champagnie Johnson Branham SG Castle Vassel Wesley PG Paul Jones Currently our guards are the weakest depth wise. With Paul likely leaving after this season and Castle likely becoming the full time PG. It would only make sense to bolster the position.
I know that we’ve added Paul and Barnes to help add some winning mentality to our roster, but is anybody else suprised just how much we’ve improved since last season?
Just wanted to see if anyone else thinks the same
He's the only one I ever care about and stan for. Anyone have any updates?
Stats for shots where players hold the ball for more than 2 seconds. Usually classified as a self created shot.
I continue to be amazed when people think Vassell should play off the bench
Per: https://www.nba.com/stats/lineups/advanced?dir=D&sort=MIN
I know we want to plug Vassil/Sochan into starting five when they get healthy but....this lineup works. Maybe, this is just a sign the team has progressed significantly since the Sochan injury (not because of it) and other lineups will be more effective.
But the lineup kinda reminds me of old spurs lineups where there were players that weren't the best players on the team starting just because they fit together well.
We will see.
With Julian leading the Spurs in total minutes and showing solid production, is he likely to keep his starting spot once the team is fully healthy?
As I said this morning in the game thread. Champagnie is one of the best in the league at what he does and is a knock down corner 3 shooter. He needs to play more. And he needs to continue starting. You cannot bench him in 4th quarters for Keldon Johnson.
He occasionally pull something like 4 points in 35 minutes few times last season.
Hasn't happened so far this season. He's been on minutes restriction every game but never scored less than 12.
I know it's 6 games but this is a good sign.
