Sorry if degenerate posts aren’t allowed here. Plz delete and don’t ban me if they aren’t.
Here’s odds I found for who goes fourth in the draft:
Castle +250
Buzelis +275
Sheppard +375
Clingan +900
Dillingham +900
Topic +1000
Risacher +1200
Holland +2500
Sarr +2500
Williams +2500
Collier +2500
Knecht +2500
Salaun +3000
Talk about return on investment for the Spurs. But i think Atlanta wants all their picks back from the Spurs.
Honestly feels weird even asking this but maybe it's different from the usual mock of 4/8 in the sub lately.
With more rookies coming in this year, and potentially 3 (if the Hornets get their life together) 1st round picks next year, do you guys think it's fair to say that this year dictates whether or not the 2 are on the roster next year? OR, has that already been decided for some of you
I was a huge Malaki fan when we drafted him and honestly thought he was going to be the microwave scorer we all hope someone like Dillingham could be but his improvements have been pretty small and he lacks energy/effort most times (at least the eye test says so) and his defense is not great.
Blake is aggressive on defense which I love, but he just doesn't have enough on the other side for me to want to keep him if improvements in his offense don't come this year.
Maybe there are obvious answers to these questions, but I like these types of discussions, and honestly with the finals gone, I have shit else going on until draft night.
Also open to pairing these guys in trades, but I don't personally think there's enough there to even bring it up, but I'd love to hear more opinions.
Which do you guys think we would’ve had a better chance at winning the title? The 2016 playoff run, if we didn’t have those bad calls in games 2 and 5 against the Thunder and going on to play an injured Warriors team, or the 2017 run with a healthy Tony and Kawhi? Let me know down below, if you’re willing to participate. And try to keep it civil haha.
There's an actual chance that the hawks could take Clingan. Meaning Washington would more than likely take Sarr. Assuming rockets draft Sheppard, Risacher may be available to us after all. How do we feel about this?
Question for the draft gurus out there: How do the evaluations of this year's available point guards (Sheppard, Castle, Holland, Dillingham, etc.) compare to the evaluations for guards drafted in the high-mid lottery range (say, 4-10) in previous years?
Thinking of guys like Keyonte George, Jaden Ivey, Anthony Black, Dyson Daniels, Davion Mitchell, etc. - curious how high/low draft evaluations were on players in this range compared the PGs in this current class.
E: Holland obviously not a guard, my b, brainfart
How do we feel about this? I think this is actually a pretty reasonable slot for us next year. The article says it may even be a little conservative. That remains to be seen though.
Like the majority, I’m not high on him but I’d take him if he fell to #4. I don’t think he’ll be a star – or even a top-40 player – but I think he could be a starter on a good team.
As a scorer, he doesn’t do anything except make spot-up 3s and occasionally run the break when he gets a defensive rebound.
As a defender, he’s hit or miss at containing the ball but he excels as a team defender.
So yeah, a typical low error 3-and-D wing with no real ball skills. I fuck with him.
Just saw a tweet he’s not happy with the Knicks offer after speculation he should command around 35 mill per year.
Assuming that price range, could we absorb that kind of a contract over 4 years without hindering long term flexibility too much? I personally think skill set/talent wise he’d be the perfect SF for us, although health/availability is something of a concern with him.
My entire body is shaking.
