Going to the game on Friday night with my brother and two friends, generally we’re quite loud at games and clearly this game will be off the charts. We are sitting in section 104 and was looking to see if we could find some fans in section 103 or 105 that would want to do a west brick chant if he shoots any free throws. Could be done multiple times or time it perfectly right at his release.

So one of the biggest gripes everyone here has with Kidd is the fact that he rarely calls timeouts when opposing teams go on big runs, similar to how Phil Jackson would do.

After the game, he mentioned that Luka hates it when he calls timeouts, and that Luka wants to avoid interruptions in flow and gameplay even when they’re down (paraphrasing).

It’s fair to infer that maybe it’s Luka who is the one that is behind the not calling of timeouts. Or at the very least it’s its preference and Kidd is choosing to cater to that.

Sorry for not having the video clip, but it’s out there somewhere if anyone feels like digging it up.

Let me preface this with the fact that I'm somewhat new to watching basketball (a couple of years):

People often try to discredit Luka by comparing him to Harden, and I don't think there are lots of similarities but there is one huge difference between them IMO.

3 point shooting.

When Luka shoots 3's, in my opinion, his goal is to make 3's.

When Harden shoots 3's, in my opinion, he is like contorting his body so he lands on the defender so he can get a whistle.

Obviously Luka sometimes foul baits, but am I crazy for thinking that Harden is on a whole different dimension of foul baiting (particularly from 3), which makes Luka's 3 point game WAY more aesthetic and thus discounts the comparisons between the two?

Or am I just a biased Luka fan?

I rewatched game 2, and I can't belive how terrible the refs were.

Clippers are allowed to foul on every possession, and there are no calls. It's the complete opposite when it comes to Mavs defense. Most of the light touches are fouls, especially on Harden.

It's a great strategy if you want to rig games. Just allow one team to foul all the time and swallow the whistle!!??

I'm afraid that Mavs will have very little chance if this keeps happening.

What you guys think of picking up CP3 for minimum? Another ball handler would really do wonders for us, also think he would be a good fit next to Exum.

His conditioning has definitely improved, and we need him to play nearly all of the minutes to win the series. We are losing the minutes with Luka off the floor, and Luka has even impacted the game on the defensive end.

I watched Undisputed so you wouldn't have to, but the Luka hate streaming out of this guy's mouth was spraying out in full force this morning.

Here are some of his takes:
- "Let's not go crazy as Luka as defensive player of the year, he was just in the right spots."
- "He's gotta be, just slightly beyond middle of the pack." (on Luka's defensive rating, he's actually top 20%).
- "Luka contributed."

Is there something personal going on here that I haven't read about? Even Steven A. Smith gave Luka his flowers years ago and admitted he was the new heir apparent to Lebron. But Keyshawn never has had a good thing to say about Luka in his entire broadcasting career, it's just very weird to me.
