Reed Sheppard is the pick at 3.

Not only his he the best fit he’s the BPA imo.

Shot 50-50-90 on decent volume.

Very similar to FVV defensively but is 3 inches taller.

Has flashes of self creation and can playmake. Has feel for the game and can play off of Sengun.

His only weakness is that he’s only 6’3, but you look at guys like Jrue,FVV, Smart, Fox, Nembhard, Conley, Lowry are/were all still impactful defenders at around that height.

Also Kentucky guards in the lottery always end up being great in the NBA.

PSA: the last two Brooklyn Nets Number 3 draft picks that got traded away were Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown

Get ready

Sheppard or Dillingham and why? I’m surprised most people want Sheppard instead of Dillingham. Dillingham is being mocked higher by most mock boards

Reed Shepard - White Jrue Holiday?

Sign me up! Also Lowkey the #3 pick could go for a bag if it’s on the table. Teams going to realize he gives you the most bang for your buck if you need a high level plug and play 25-30 min night player and he is not slipping past 4.

I’ll take my chance with Reed unless we getting an All NBA Star in return ( Funny #3 and Fred for Trae Young could happen but I’ll post about that later).

I say that to say this, thank you Brooklyn 🫡

We have to trade Sengun

I understand if you ban me but hear me out brothers. We have to get Alex Sarr. We cannot give max money to a undersized center who can’t shoot. We already have Wemby, Chet, Jokic and Gobert in our conference. That’s literally half the playoff spots right there. We need our 7’+ guy as the league continues to get bigger

We still got to pay Green, Amen, Cam, Tari, and Jabari and y’all want to throw a max at a undersized center as the league gets taller.

We were arguably better without him. That’s all I’m saying. All that dancing in the paint is going to get old when Green, Amen, and Cam want that ball more

As a white man myself it kills me to say it about him but I’m scared to give him long money

And we will still have the 3rd to play with

Is it worth taking Reed Sheppard at 3

Hey yall, here is an in depth breakdown of Reed Sheppard. He could be an interesting pickup for Houston.

Why on earth do so many people want us to draft Clingan?

Seriously like I’ve seen way too many people saying that we should pick Clingan, I just don’t get it. Do these people actually not realise that we traded for Aquaman and I don’t see the FO wanting to spend a 3rd ovr pick on another center since we just traded for a back up center. My pick would be Sheppard because I think he’ll be a very good connective piece for this roster and I think he’s one of the ”safest” picks in this draft. If not Sheppard, I’d go for Rob Dillingham. Fred is obviously not a long term pg for us and I think Rob has the potential to be very good but I also don’t think he’d be ideal. I just think we need shooting and the ”you can always get shooters in the free agency” isn’t going to work. You can get guys like Bullock who, yes can hit a 3 pointer but at the end of the day won’t make the team any better. The way I see this, we have a really really good and unexpected chance to get what we need, a young top prospect shooter and on top of that he’s on a rookie deal, and I just see guys saying that we should pick some 3rd string center with the THIRD pick like I just don’t see why. Maybe if we would’ve gotten like the 8th pick or something but with the 3rd it makes no sense.

[ClutchFans] Rafael Stone says it's more likely the #Rockets will like the player available at #3 more than the trade options, but it's always possible another team will really like who is available at #3 also (and make a good offer).

[ClutchFans] Rafael Stone on #Rockets  moving up to the #3 pick: "I was happy. I was on a flight from France to the US. The first thing to come through were random texts and I could tell we moved up. It took me awhile to figure it out so I was a little more confused than normal."

What would it take to trade from #3 to #1?

They say this is a bad draft to have a top pick. Atl has a lot of options to either get a veteran player or sell everything and hop full rebuild. If we really love Sarr, could we put together a package to move up? What would it cost? And is it worth it for us?

Rockets getting the 3rd overall pick...keep it or trade it away in a package to get an All Star to Houston

With Ime Udoka do you think the Rockets keep the #3 overall pick? Or do they trade it away on Draft Night along with other players in a package to bring in another star to pair up with Sengun, Green and VanVleet in Houston? Or do the Rockets keep the pick? How are you guys feeling about this

Who’s your pick at #3?

Assuming we’re focused on playmaking and shooting fit around our young guys, likely looking for players who fit with Green and Sengun, and we’ve already drafted a bunch of young forwards … who you got?

Stone is going to have to be surgical with the moves this offseason

Hype we got top 3 pick LFGGGGGG (silly BK 😂).

Sarr, Reed, Rob Dilly, and Topic are my top 4 players (in that order). I’ll be ok with any one of them.

One thing to consider is the salary cap and how having this pick will affect it.

Do you draft a win now player or a project at 9/10 million a year (idk the exact number)? Does this player fit with Jalen/Amen/Sengun? Is it time to trade any of our young guys to free up log jam?

Hope stone gets nice vacation in because he is about to do work 🫡

Rockets win the 3rd overall pick in the draft from Brooklyn

What should we do with the pick? Draft Clingan if he's available? Trade it? Thoughts?

2024 NBA Draft Lottery [Discussion Thread]

I don’t see an existing thread on here, so created one myself. Let’s hope to get into that Top 4 and keep both our picks today!

EDIT: Top 3, not bad at all!
