Yeah, yeah we're all eagerly entering F5 season as rumors of a Fox trade loom, but think of the streamers! Decent slate of 7 games today has us stocked with a variety of good options. Not a lot of injury stories still waiting to break, but both Quickley and Dick remain Q in Toronto, and should both be ruled out, Bruce Brown's surge should continue. Stewart got a bit too beefy in Detroit, leading to a suspension this game, which has Paul Reed just outside of my suggestions for the night, but should definitely be on your radar as a sneaky source of stocks. Finally feeling eager to recommend Looney as a solid FG% and Blks guy tonight...which invariably means that Kerr will pull some bullshit and bench him.
Honorable Mentions (should they be available): Malik Beasley, Kelly Oubre Jr.
Injury Replacements (who didn't make the cut): Nick Smith, Jr. (3s, Asts), Paul Reed (Stls, Blks with Stewart suspended)

In hindsight, who are some of the worst players a trade has broken down over in your league?
After playing fantasy, I can better appreciate why a team like LAL didn’t want to part with THT or even LAC tagging Mann as non-negotiable. There are some fringe or sell-high players who, for whatever reason, you see a lot of potential in, and when you and the other guy simply don’t agree on that potential, it can make negotiations almost impossible. Both guys feel like they’re being fleeced and it’s easy for these things to fall apart; more-so than when you’re dealing steady or proven players to one another where both sides know what they’re getting imo.
So yeah, curious to know what deals people had break down and over what player? Did Yves Missi as a sweetener stop you from getting D Book? Maybe Shaedon was the obstacle to getting Mobley? This is a thread to laugh at ourselves on some bad takes.
My Fantasly League is a Keeper league where we can designate a Player to keep from year to year. The cost to keep a Player is that you have to draft him in the previous round in the next season after the round that you drafted him in this season.
I drafted Jalen Johnson in the 4th round this season. That means that I'm eligible to keep him but have to draft him in the 3rd round in next season's draft.
Is Jalen Johnson a 3rd round draft pick for next season?
I get the sense that he's only going to continue to improve and that as a 3rd round draft pick, its within his range given his production this season.
Any thoughts on this?
I run a 6man points league with managers of varying levels of experience and this is my first time commissioning.
Trade is Donovan Mitchell for Mark Williams
The trade went through and I reversed it only to find out that the one with Mitchell wanted Williams.
If a manager who isn’t as experienced proposes a trade to someone else who is and it looks unfair. Should I do something about it? Even if the one manager is inflicting damage onto themselves?
Looking to see if I was in the wrong, and trying to learn how to manage this in the future.
I want to keep the league competitive and a good experience for players.
Hello! Are there anybody you are targeting for steals specialist that are still widely available that might be useful second half of szn? My Dyson need help as my Herb and Caruso went down and I only got Cason left.
I'm eyeing Vanderbilt, Caleb/Cody Martin, Josh Green, Trent, Justin Edwards - but which do you think will have clearest path to a consistent role ROS? Also, is there anyone else that I missed? Appreciate you guys in advanced

What's the deal with him? Hes been doing so good up until this past week. Whats the rest of the season looking like for him and do you think hes getting shut down?
Has his boom of production come to an end? With Risacher returning yesterday, he only had 21 minutes and had very little usage when he was on the floor. Is he a hold or a drop going forward?
Hey lads, quick question, first year playing fantasy bball and I've just learnt about games played and the maximum limits..
It says I've used 596 of the 820 games allowed, and given that we are only just over half way through the season, am I fucked?
Like, clearly I'm using more players per game day than I should be, do I just have to use less so I don't reach 820 before the end of the season and this is just a lesson learnt or what?
Thanks guys

It doesn't mean that this player didn't perform well, it just means that some players had a more balanced performance than them. As stated before, we directly use Basketball Monster's rankings which calculates value based on a 9cat system.
My buddy and I were talking and I brought up the topic and it's been on my mind ever since. I just started really getting invested and watching the NBA last season so I wanna see if I'm onto something or not, I didn't get to witness how he actually played before "the incident". https://youtu.be/p_vmhTQeNYw?si=mf1yEeO48wTDt06Y

3 bad games in a row because of low minutes. Are the Blazers really gonna rest Ayton or should we send Clingan back to the WW until he gets 20+ minutes a night? How many more games are we holding?
Zaccharie Risacher just put up 30 pts on 11/14 FG and 5 threes against the cavs.
This is only his second game back from a groin injury, but it looks like the hawks are gonna rely heavily on him down the stretch.
He looked great out there today, getting to the rim at will and effortless catch and shoot 3s.
He’s also a very exciting pickup because rookies tend to play their best ball after the all star break.
I think the JJ injury opens the avenue for a top 75 performance from him post all star break, as he continues to adjust to the NBA pace and physicality
Does anyone know if all star weekend stats count in ESPN fantasy? I’d assume not but that week is only a 4 day fantasy week unless the schedule gets updated soon with the new player pool.
(My apologies this is my first fantasy season)
Great news after he was a +22 while Wendell was a -25 on the box score. This is a great sign moving forward that Goga will be a permanent starter even alongside Paolo and Franz, despite the worries of his floor spacing.
Got Milk? The Cavaliers are certainly proving that they not in any shortage of talented guards, with Ty Jerome proving himself as one of the premier backup options in the league this season. He has always been helpful as a backup guard for a variety of NBA teams, and yet Jerome has elevated his game once more after finding himself surrounded by an elite team in Cleveland. While he is harmed in small part due to operating mostly with backup minutes, Cleveland has proven themselves to not be above resting key starters like Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland if needed (especially as they increase their lead in the East).
Jerome has first and foremost taken another leap in his field goal percentage, a category in which he has always been able to hang his hat on. He is currently a 51% shooter, and has displayed a balanced shot diet of looks inside the arc and out. Most impressively, he is able to play alongside both Mitchell and Garland when needed, as he is currently one of the most efficient shooters from deep in his whole team (43% on the season). His hybrid ability to step into a role as the ball handler while also remaining an elite off ball threat when needed allows him to fill multiple roles for the Cavs roster, and can justify him being on the court at nearly any moment. Jerome has also increased his usage in alignment with his larger role for the Cavaliers, and he is currently seeing a career high 22.7% usage while shooting a career high 51% from the field. This type of usage combined with his efficiency is alone enough to propel him to a Z-Score of .32 in the category this season, with his value spiking at a score of .6 in the last week. Finding a backup with this level of output is basically impossible on the wire, and it mirrors the rise of fellow backup guard Payton Pritchard quite well.
The backup has also made significant strides defensively this season, providing steals value far beyond anything he has done before. Despite only averaging 18 minutes per game over the course of this season, Jerome has managed to generate an incredible 1.2 steals per game. When watching, it is not shocking to see why, as he has incredibly active hands and awareness that just meshes into the controlled chaos of the Cavs defense. Led by Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, the team does an excellent job of forcing difficult passes away from the rim, allowing players like Jerome to feast in the passing lanes. While Jerome is unlikely to break through into starter minutes to truly solidify himself as a premier steals player, he does serve as a positive for the time being, sitting at a Z-Score of .23 at the time of writing.
Jerome is already proving himself to be a fringe rosterable player while receiving bench minutes on the season, and has taken advantage of any injuries to those ahead of him in order to prove his worth further. He ranks 125th on the season so far, however the last week has seen him receive 26 minutes a night, which has catapulted him all the way up to a ranking of 68th over that frame. While he is not the sexiest name, he remains one of the most consistent and efficient bench options in the league. As is the case with milk, he serves to complement and strengthen the already solid backbone of the team, and remains a great stream or end of roster player depending on your categorical needs.

Is it frowned upon to intentionally lose games for better playoff position? I’m currently first and don’t want to be playing the 4th place manager in the first round but tanking games feels a little amoral.
What are your thoughts on dropping games on purpose?
With the news of fox wanting out of Sacramento and castle being included in trade discussions per Sam Amick, do you guys think Mr.Castles in the sky is worth rostering?
He obviously starts for sac town correct?

He seems never stay healthy for five consecutive games
