Im right handed i think i do most things with my right hand but when it comes to most sports i use my left hand. But its not because its more comfortable really its because my right arm isnt flexible atall. Should i keep shooting with my left arm or work on flexibility on my right and shoot with that
I love Steph, don’t get me wrong. However… the way he changed the game to make everyone only want to shoot the 3 is ridiculous. Street ball is damn near unbearable because you just get guys who take 91 shots, brick 87 of them, then get mad when they don’t get the ball anymore. It’s even how 2K is played! Steph didn’t do anything wrong by playing his game, it’s just the people trying to emulate him. Also… Steph>Lebron if we’re being honest 👀
Hand is considered part of the ball in college, high school and nba for which you can find the rules for but i cant find the fiba rule for this one so im asking for some clarification and if it is for the exact rule in which this is stated. Thanks for your help
What I don’t understand is they say they want to grow the game but if I want to buy my daughter a youth jersey it’s going to cost me a 150$….. what in the actual hell???
I'm 16 and I'm 6"3ft , and I'm quite good at getting second shot opportunities and rebounds and im a tight defender but im not that fast
For reference im a 6'6 wing 16yr old skinny wing. Not bad straight line speed but horrible at stuff like lane agility, and Illinois Agloty test.
Hey! I am a male thats 23 about 175 pounds and i have started noticing that the bottom of my knee hurts when i try to squat, get up from a chair, or go up stairs or hoop. I play basketball about once a week but have been toning down how much i play because of this issue. I have tried to ice my knee, i have rested my knee, i have tried to buy straps for support but nothing seems to help!! I looked on the internet and there arent many solutions either. I was wondering if anyone on this sub had any advice. Thanks!!
Hi guys!
I just had my first finger injury and I can't seem to tell if it's a mallet finger or jammed finger.
I can't straighten the top joint on my own, I could do it if I support it with another finger but can't fully straighten it out with no support.
It's only been day 2 of the injury (injury happened yesterday) so I'm still quite confused in what it is
I have tryouts in 3 days what should I do?
I’m currently 5”10 150 I’m 13 and whenever I play pickup or when I’m practicing with the team I’m told to play center but I feel like I should should play sf or pf because I’m kind of skinny what do yall think ?
So I’m 5’8, 200 lbs, and 20% body fat so a lot of muscle. I used to play a lot as a kid and only recently picked the sport back up, and trying to determine what’s the best role to play. My biggest weakness at the time is probably my dribbling/handles, I can’t do much more than basic between the legs. Also having a hard time driving and making space at the rim. What position should I try to train for, and what players should I emulate? I’m not looking to play professionally/school or anything, just pickup games.
I am the tallest guy on our amateur team (6'4) and I am currently being played as center but I hate it. Playing with my back to the hoop in a crowded area is just not my thing. Been tryin to learn some decent post moves but I much prefer to use them occasionally rather than play that position all the time. Wing/forward feels much more natural to me. Is it just me problem? Has anyone else experienced similar issue on their teams?
I would say in no order Shaq, LeBron, Steph, Anthony Edwards, Wemby, and Yao Ming. Likable to me is just game plus personality, and how they carry themselves
this week at training, we played 3 5v5s, my team lost the first 2 games 3-0, and we won the 3rd game 3-2, and i went like 0-6 shooting, but the week prior i was scoring every point for my team, won every game, got a bunch of blocks and steals, aswell as the week before, but this week i couldnt seem to do that, and i feel like i was the reason my team wasnt that good
what do you guys do after a bad session
I know this is an incredibly subjective and probably retarded question, but I’m really interested in picking up a new sport to follow, and basketball is at the top of my list. I’ve primarily been into MMA, which is the only sport I closely follow, but I think basketball is the most interesting sport that I would like to dive into.
To be honest I’ve only ever watched bits and pieces, not even an entire game (sad I know) I’m looking for advice on which team would be the most entertaining to follow this season. I want a team that will keep me engaged to help me get into the sport. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. The only ones I can think of is the Lakers or Golden State, (being the causal that I am lol).
Thanks in advance!
I'm 14 5'10
I am a great passer
My handles are good and i have a deep bag the problem is that i need to many dribbles to pass someone
My go to moves are delayed tween and A.I cross and double btb
When I drive I always have the defender at my side and end up passing the ball
My shooting is alright
My defense is good
My Basketball Iq is alright
I have a deep bag
I like to play at a slower pace
I'm like a 3/1 but have good post moves so I'm a balanced player
I'm 14 and used to be completely academic and no, I still was physically active, but just average. I have been playing basketball for a year and have improved by a lot, but seeing my friends and others achieve in sports has downed me a bit. Honestly in my country, there is probably a smaller playerbase in basketball, but I still feel discouraged. In my coaching I'm in the intermediate batch but I'd like to go to senior. Is there any way I can get a lot better at basketball? Here are my problems during a simple match:
Shooting, under and without pressure.
Reaction speed, I'm able to predict the attacker/defender but if they are really fast, I get cooked.
Stamina
Explosive movement, It's not a lack of explosiveness but I'd want to increase it by a lot.
I would be extremely grateful if I get good tips and I'll devotedly follow through(The courts here are usually taken by people and I'm scared to go out and practice honestly)
Playing social rec, pattern is three people in paint.
How do you beat it? I feel the way is to jump shot?
I remember watching a couple years ago that Overtime did a 1v1 tournament with no rules, streetball style. I remember Kyree Walker (or maybe someone else) getting bloodied up and kept playing.
Can't seem to find the videos anymore, unless I'm mistaken and it was a different company that did it and not Overtime. Maybe they removed them?
Yall notice how this dude is out here playing pickup ball? 😂😂
Edit: stop mentioning other players that don’t benefit to the conversation at all. Nobody is comparing him to anybody else. He’s just fun to watch with his attitude

Was playing pickup today, bringing up the ball at a jog, and someone from the other team took a horrible angle, blindsiding me and tripping me. I fell pretty hard and hurt my wrist and hip a bit. What is it with these dudes playing so aggressive in pickup that it causes injuries to the other players? Of course the game was extremely chippy and aggresive the entire time. I just go to play for a good time and some excersise but find myself having to avoid certain times of the day or places to play because it's just too intense for me!
I think for me personally it was a moment. I was 15 years old and I saw a guy just shooting jump shots at the local park. That moment just was so cool to me, being able to shot it correctly and just swish the net. It just felt so satisfying seeing him swish after swish.
