Anybody else besides me (and from what I’ve heard from Lamar on air) think that Toumani has a really high ceiling as a two way player? I’m skeptical to throw out comparisons. he does so much that doesn’t show up on the stat sheet also.
Both are ball dominant players. The issue here is that we need to develop Scoot, Shae, and other young player. We are no need to win right now and at this point Grant and Ant are more of a liability. Trade them and tank, this will give more reps for other players. I think Scoot or Shae will average 20+ ppg if Grant and Ant are traded. It will help their confident. Take a look at SGA in OKC he got there and Westbrook got traded, constant minute given to SGA to develop. Now he probably one of the league best guard. No I don’t think Scoot or Shae can on the same level as SGA but they have the athletic tools to actually develop into good players if they build their confident.
Yeah I know some of you gonna be like trade them for what? No one wants them. I pretty sure their are teams out there that want a wings and a scoring guard. It just that the front office wants so much in return for them. Most likely gonna be their downfall because as time goes they gonna become a free agent or no team gonna want 30 years old players that is declining.
RIP Wheels.
Yes, he’s playing pretty bad right now. He does look like he’s taken a massive step back compared to last year. However, we don’t gain anything from benching him. First, we don’t have anyone to actually replace him. Scoot does play better within the offense, but we don’t know how he’ll deal with getting trapped and doubled consistently. It’ll leave Grant as the only starter who can somewhat reliably create his own shot. Second, Scoot should be a 6th man for some more time; he can build up confidence and momentum, and we have the entire season to evaluate him.
Third, and most importantly, if we bench Ant his trade value is getting torpedoed. It doesn’t matter if Scoot plays well in his place, getting benched for him is a really bad look. We should hope that Ant starts scoring effectively and trade him at the deadline.
33 mpg 18/5/2 2.5 turnovers on 38% shooting and 31% from 3. Also one of the worst defenders in the league.
After watching RW3 I definitely think if he keeps this up by the trade deadline Portland can get a first. I honestly think this would be a pretty good trade for both teams. The Phoenix pick should be pretty valuable by 2027, I’d assume. But thoughts? Portland clears a lil cap space and empties a spot in their crowded C space. Houston also gets an actual back up center.

My wife and I are struggling to recall which player we had who would full on lick his hands after rubbing his shoes. Maybe the Felton era? Anybody remember who this might be?
