[Brainstorming] What should I post to this subreddit?

This place is looking kinda dead. Not sure what to post to bring it back to life. So here's a list of things I need to fix in my apt.

to fix:
-drywall screw holes
-kitchen backsplash
-storage unit security hasp
-bedroom door

Edit: Let me know what else I need to fix. thx.

CSS changes

Woah guys. Brace yourself; there's a post in /r/shittynetwork

Reddit admins are changing the CSS markdown stuff, and shits about to get real. The shitty network menu looks a bit different with the changes.

See the new markdown style here

Does, uh, someone with more CSS wizardry levels than I want to take a stab at fixing that up?

Are we still active? [Discussion]

Have the top shitty's been losing traffic? Just curious because I read a post on /r/entrepreneur and I'm considering rebranding /r/sp by turning it into a sub that sells hand-knitted hats and fine wool jewelry.

[Brainstorming] "Cleaning this Shit[tyNetwork] Up"

Greetings Moderators,

_I've been gone for a long time, lost to the adventurous world of academia school, and now I've returned.

Mao, how big you've gotten, all those Potatoes have made you grow up big and strong. Jesus, I remember when you were just a few subreddits tall.

Open Question: Are there rules concerning the inactivity of subbreddits in the r/ShittyNetwork ? Pruning Housecleaning Wiping is probably a good idea, even if it's been a while since you've stopped pushing out content.

Because it is more of a question of activity vs variety, I table the suggestion that after a given period of time, inactive/dead subreddits be archived, (preserved in some sort of ShittySepticTank category). The definition of inactivity and the time given would certainly be voted upon by the ShittyNetwork mods but for this thread, please discuss whether you would support or how we might improve upon this idea.

Just a heads up, I took over ShittyDIY. I would like to apply for membership when we get there...

We are around 973 members and I would love to become one with the Shitty. Soon....

Sorry everyone, but....

http://i.imgur.com/PkvzkIW.jpg

I'm sorry, but I am more or less leaving the Shitty Network. It has probably been terribly obvious for quite some time, I don't really follow or contribute many of the subreddits I moderate. This doesn't only include Shitty subreddits, but as I have a special connection and history with the Shitty subs, this is where I'll start.

There will be a few exceptions, like /r/shittyaskhistory and /r/askashittymage(which I hope to give a restart somehow). I haven't made a full and definitive list of what stays and what goes yet.

I will still remain subscribed to a lot of Shitty subs, but really, I have no business moderating most of them anymore.

In any case, Ladies and Gentlemen, it has been a rewarding ride. Thank you.

[Discussion] ShittyPolitics for full membership

I took over ShittyPolitics a few months ago and with the help of the other mods we've molded it into what it is today.

Traffic is pretty decent for the amount of subscribers. So far in October we've got 410 views which translates into 147 uniques. Last month we got 897 uniques and 2,217 pageviews.

We have 383 subscribers and growing pretty steadily. On wednesday we got 10 new subs.

Oh, and we're definitely not /u/skafos

Reminder: Use reddit's new "sticky post" to highlight new and or obscure shitties you'd like to see get some action.

Like we did in ShittyAskHistory.

Allright, time for some rules and shit.

We really shouldn't need this here, but in light of recent events... So far I've come up with these:

1 - If you have an issue with another user, and the problem can't be resolved in private, make a CALM and FACTUAL post(i.e. the polar opposite of "u/XXX sucks") in this sub, where stuff can be discussed.

2 - You do not, and I repeat NOT, de-mod another user over a slight, perceived or not. De-modding is for emergencies(someone goes on a trolling rampage, fucks the stylesheet, starts posting porn all over or whatever). Keep in mind this is a private sub, so a demotion as moderator is essentially a ban.

3 - Any and all things that needs discussing should be submitted as a text post in this sub. Use the modmail to alert people of the post(and include a link). Long discussions between more than two people really needs a comment tree layout.

I seem to be in charge of /r/ShittyFifthWorldPics now

Molality, the guy that set up ShittyFifthWorldPics seems to have deleted his account. He also seems to have deleted all his posts, which is a real shame as a lot of them were some of the top rated posts in the subreddit.
Both Rawlyn and I have been mods from very early on in the life of ShittyFifthWorldPics and know each other outside of reddit, we have pretty much been on the same page as to the running of the subreddit and enjoy being part of the shitty network so I guess we will take over the running of the sub now (I dear say we have been the more active mods for some time now anyway).

Does anyone have any objection to this or is there anything else I should be doing?

Announcing /r/ShittyBuildingPorn

I started /r/ShittyBuildingPorn for all the ugly and shitty buildings in the world.

Please give feedback! (Also tell me if you're interested to mod)

Thanks guys! Hoping to make this sub something like /r/ArchitecturePorn. Because /r/ShittyArchitecturePorn wasn't available for me.

Note: This is just an announcement. Not a bid to enter the Shitty Network. Yet.

/r/shitty_car_mods admittance?

It's a pretty cool sub and it's popular, can/should we ask them if they want to join the network?

[shitlist] SSrotD Question Thread

What shitty subreddit(s) do you moderate?

What does this cabal of Nazi mods do in their secret lair?

What is your favorite shitty sub that you do not moderate, and why?

If you could change one thing about your 'network', what would it be?

Follow up question, are are you too lazy to propose that?

Are you sick of shitty puns/puns about shit, or are there still ones that surprise and amuse you?
