This is the smallest miniature I have painted so far (2cm height). It turned out quite messy when you look at it in detail. How do you paint those extra mini miniatures? How much detail is even possible to achive?
Just wanted to share. Happy to receive cc. I spent a few hours on this one and ultimately could of fixed up a few details but I think it’s time to move on.
Hi all,
I’m new to painting and looking at getting a set. I am tossing up between the Vallejo introductory or advanced set.
I already have Citadel;
Is the intro set doubling up too much or would I be better getting the advanced and purchasing a few select one offs (red, yellow, green)?
Thanks!
Im just placing an order online and they only sell vallejo, i have been looming to buy biel tan green for a long time but gw shades are just very expensive, does vallejo sell any good competitor paints?
Hi,
im new and got sucked into watching countless videos and started painting my first minis. I now started experimenting with different equipment. From color brands to different brushes and i have so many questions on how to handle the painting process and how to properly use everything.
I could not find any online lessons where i could just hop on a discord call for example and show someone what im doing so we can improve my work.
I'm looking for recommendations for good places to buy paints and tools and stuff. Right now I'm considering buying myself an airbrush setup for Christmas. I've narrowed down the actual airbrush to a few choices, and I could easily just order one from Amazon or something.
So far I haven't been able to work out where to buy other stuff (compressor, tubes, spray booth, respirator, etc) where I can get something good enough without being upsold stuff I don't need or completely breaking the bank.
Obvious choices like HobbyCo strike me as probably overpriced. A major art supply store like Eckersley's might be overpriced too. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Bonus if they're likely to have Black Friday sales.
I tried using some techniques of glazing and stippling to make a more eye catching power sword . I do need to work on my lightning freehand tho it’s pretty bad but that’s alright .
So long story short, I want to make them like molding oranges. I feel like stippling is how I would go about creating that green and white mold effect like you would get on fruit. Does anyone know any videos with techniques or tips I could use to create such an effect? Thanks for any help.
