Infinity is wargame that simulates combat and special operations with 28mm scale metal miniatures. Skirmishes take place in a rich science fiction environment with Manga aesthetics. Infinity miniatures are characterized by the high quality and detail of their modeling, the dynamism of their postures and their futuristic aesthetic.
This subreddit is for all things Infinity. From the game itself, its rules and fluff, to painting the minis, making terrain, finding or organizing battles and so on.

Just wondering if anyone has had to use cbs missing parts service? And if so, what are they like? One of my models had no arms in the packet lol. I sent the email with all pertinent info already so just curious if people had had much success with them?
Hello! I’ve been eyeing Infinity for a longtime, and the announcement of N5 has finally made me take the dive. Ive heard about the new Essentials box and am planning on getting that with a friend to start out. In the meantime Ive been playing around with the Army builder and trying to get a feel for the game.
I’d like some more insight on what goes into building a list. I’d call myself more of a casual player and like using units I find cool. I’ve been really liking the PanO Winterfor Action Pack and the units in WinterFor, especially the HI like Boyg and Orcs. However when im building a list I find it difficult to include more than 3-4 main troops without having to fill the remaining slots with Fusiliers and cheap robots to get up to the “magic 15 orders” ive heard about. Is this how typically a list is made? Is there a way I can run multiple big units together, like Military Orders? I just want to use a lot of the fun unique units, and even make TAG lists. Thank you for the help and im super excited!
Hi,
As a disclaimer: I come from 40K and the recent 2 years have resulted in around 70% of my army pretty much gone. GW uses the euphemism "legends" but most of the groups/tournaments/organisations don't use miniatures that are put in legends. Maybe in super casual play but that's pretty much it. These miniatures, that one puts money and effort in (assembly and painting) are gone...like completely. 40K being 40K is one of the proxy unfriendly games there is, you end up with a chunk of plastic. I quit 40K because of that. As cold as it may sound.
Now, Corvus Belli is MUCH more proxy friendly, which is nice. However, I want to know if CB is axing miniature's in a grander scheme on the level of GW during this transition period from N4 to N5. I have found a 2ish week old thread here in this sub, in which a user was saddened that his sectorial (Varuna?) was axed only 6 years after its introduction. Good news: the majority of the miniatures from this sectorial were good to use in other sectorials/Vanilla. Bad news: some miniatures (as it seems) are completely gone (Kamau, Echo Bravo). On CB's Homepage both these minis are still being sold and this gives me Vietnam GW flashbacks. Maybe I have misread something, sorry in advance if that's the case.
So 2 questions:
1.) how likely is it these axed minis will receive N5 rules later on?
2.) I have picked Qapu Khalki as my army mainly because I like the background story of that sectorial & I freaking love the Yuan Yuan miniatures (from the noodle eating fatty to the chick..ALL of them). Is there any chance the Yuan Yuan miniatures may vanish from the game or the QK sectorial in N5?
I was looking at the following action packs, and wondering what might be the best choice for a newb. Winter PanO, USAriadna, or Nomads.
I like to keep things simple in terms of game play, and would prefer a a box that doesn't 'require' a lot of add ons ("It's a good start, but you have to have X")
Hey,
Is anyone regularly priming with a hand brush and can tell/show me results?
Particularly interested if there is:
1.) any loss of detail
2.) any loss/change of durability when using brush-on primers on metal miniatures compared to rattle cans
I have here some water based acrylic (polyurethane) brush on primers.
Thx in advance!
Hey, could I get some feedback on how these models look, please? I feel my models don't look good on the tabletop and would like some outsider views.
I've generally tried to avoid the GW style of highlighting every edge, plus I don't think I can get them as thin as those guys, and tried to make the lower portions of the model darker with fewer highlights as I thought the torso would be casting a shadow over their legs and feet.
For JSA I had an image in my head of a pinkish red. It took me ages with multiple attempts and stripping paint to get to this state and I'm not entirely convinced that they match the image in my head. But done is better than perfect right? There are some shots of them on the table at the bottom.
Hey guys. Im mostly a GW player, i played 40K, KT, AoS and Warcry, and im looking to start playing Infinity in the skirmish level (whatever its called in infinity) If you had to begin a PanOceania collection in an affordable and easy way, how would you start? If it can be helped, i'd like to have some knights, like the hospitaller or the knights of santiago, i love thst christian/modern crusader look.
Hey everyone, looking at getting into infinity and I’ve really fallen in love with the Dakini tacbots, garuda, riksha, and dawon models. So, I don’t know much about building an army list yet, but is there a way to play a force that has mostly those models? Recommendations? Thanks in advance!
I’m interested in purchasing Operation Sandtrap’s JSA models specifically and am wondering if anyone would be interested in splitting the cost and I ship them the Pan-O half or vice versa.
Hello! I’m just looking to see what might be the best way to pick up Morats, enough to play 300 points with minor proxies. I’ve picked up Kornak and the Daturazi box, what else would you recommend getting? Are the Raicho or Bultrak played super often? Also if there’s cool older sculpts I can keep an eye out for either for proxies or just because they’re cool then color me interested. Appreciate the help!
I have what might be a dumb question. I just bought my first box of infinity miniatures. But there were no instructions on how to build them in the box. Is there a way to get instructions online or was my box just missing them? Im very confused.
I recently started playing infinity and picked up MAF. Ngl, haven't enjoyed them too much (my opponents in the area are nomads and Ariadna) and am considering a faction switch.
Now that operation blackwind is done, will the models in it be reboxed in to an action pack/starter packs?
When i was starting, I originally wanted to go Haqq but stumbled onto a great deal on some morats(and I love the sculpts of morats) so I went with them. Now I'm having some buyers remorse. Lol
Hey guys, I’ve been away for about 10 years now and have a good chunk of JSA (old faction box+bikes and a few blister packs) and Ariadna specnaz models.
Played a few other game systems over the years so not at all new to wargaming but a quick glance over N4 rules shows a lot has changed and lots of new stuff has been added and I’m lost on where to even begin. But figured hey why not with all the hype N5 is getting.
Any advice on where to go from here as the “essentials” set doesn’t look like it’s worth it just to learn and sandtrap isn’t really a true starter set.
Hi. I am a new player, I bought operation blackwind on the cheap, played it and fell in love with the game and rules.
Sadly in my city, the scene is currently in an unconcious state, so I wanna buy 2-3 armies so that I can try to persuade my friends to get in.
I am interested in Haqqislam, Ariadna (Kosmoflot), PanO, Yu Jing.
I am ok with Nomads, Aleph, Ariadna (Caledonia), JSA.
It is also possible to get crimson stone cheaply for me.
What factions would you recommend I focus on so the games I try to teach my friends will be enjoyable? How would you recommend I go about getting minis for them so that they are playable quite well?
Lastly as a general question, is WYSIWYG a thing in this game?
Thank you very much for your recommendations!
I bought Morat Action pack (more of a spontaneous buy) and while I like the box art, I was thinking in what other colour schemes they can be painted. I am really bad in picking up schemes (my o12 is boring original and I am scared when my KCF arrives to paint them differently). Therefore I am looking for inspirations.
How did you paint your Morats? Thank you.
My Jing Qo from the YJ Action Pack has two torsos. Just curious about it.
Hey gang, I just learned about this game and the cool-looking minis! Coming from the 40k/Fantasy/DnD scene of minis, I am a bit overwhelmed. I don't know if I will ever start playing Infinity, but I do play mini-agnostic games like One Page Rules I am primarily interested in what the community considers the coolest or most unique looking minis for painting? I am preferable to infantry or a little larger like mech/exosuits but not really vehicles (if Infinity even has those?)
TIA!
