I'm considering getting into Infinity. I really like both Operation Blackwind teams, so that's great. Do I really need the starter set if I already have good terrain? Can I get the tokens elsewhere? I just saw that they are going to sell the full army collection packs - maybe I should get those instead to save money? Please guide me.

Hello, As a long term 40k Dark Angels fan im currently a refugee seeking asylum in this cool game. I am looking into the Military orders and I have been wondering if i can paint them instead of the bright blue on the box into a dark green similar to the DA. Is it acceptable to play like this or is there a rule against it

So my friend finally broke me down and got me to invest into Infinity. After going over the models I really like the Ariadna Rangers and so want to start there. I already ordered the Marauder box and I am looking to grab the action pack next paycheck. What else should I look for and try to get? I was thinking a Wardriver but that's about it. I like werewolves and I like the look of HMGs. Any advice would be appreciated but I know almost nothing about the game or its mechanics

Hello to all, I haven't played Infinity in ages and finally have some locals that are interested and wanting to play it. I haven't played since second edition I think (around when the original Caskuda TAG and the sub faction aliens were retired/removed).

1. Has the game changed much in the multiple editions? Things easier/better/worse?
2. I see "Code One", from what I've read that looks like more of an easier entry version of the game, no reasons to be concerned with the core game changing or being replaced by it right?
3. I see "action packs" on the store, are these just a cheaper/bundled way to get models or actually a given point value to pick up and play against the different packs?
4. Anything else I should know about prior to starting again?

Assembled and painted my first Infinity model (not first figure, just first Infinity). I feel like this is a whole different hobby altogether! Assembling these guys is a test of patience and willpower, but this figure’s arm has managed you stay attached through the painting stage at least.

Hi, im new in Infinity (played couple of games with dad so I know basics) and I'm trying to build my own army and play at home. I really like Combined Army, so I checked some packs, bundles and this Operation was just perfect, with anything I need to play, even an enemy. I told this to my dad but he said that miniatures that are in this operation are old. I don't want to buy Blackwind Operation that he suggested...i want to play Combined...I spent like 3 hours just studying every skill for every Combined Army miniature in that Operation 😭😭...

What I'm asking is, is that worth it or are those miniatures really old? If Wildfire isn't worth buying...what should I buy if I want to play Combined? (Do I have to buy everything separately?😭)

The ability to lay shock mines and sixth sense or the abilty to be deadly in close range with assault pistols with competent close combat skills?

Chasseurs also have access to adhesive launcher which is another plus but Im having a hard time to replace my sas bois with these frenchmen.

Other day I played my first 300 pt game, Frontline vs Infinite Army, and I found myself getting blown out pretty handily.

In 150 points I found I was able to rely on two or three power pieces like the Gamma, Epsilon, and Gangbuster and just a button pusher and some Kappas for orders.

I think my struggles were largely because I had to deploy first, which let my opponent counter-deploy and just punch through my defenses with his Core Team, coupled with some deployment mistakes since it was my first time playing on the full 4 x 4 map.

That being said, I'm looking for some critiques on my list to help me for the future. I tried sticking to profiles from the collector's box which is everything I have so far, but branched out into a few proxies to see how they played.

I just recently was able to assemble a group of people to play tabletop games constantly and like to introduce them to infinity.

The thing is, usually we are in groups of 4 or more and would be boring to let some people just watching.

I remember finding years ago some homebrew for infinity like, hungergames, zombie/apocalipse scenarios where we play as survivors and stuff...

Do you guys know where to find this kinda of stuff?

Has playing infinity changed the way you play other tabletop games ?

Example I was talking to a friend and he remarked about when he was playing 40k he was focusing more on grabbing objectives than trying to kill his opponent’s units
